Hotel vicini a Municipio Square a Covilhã

O preço um pouco elevado para 2 pessoas, pequeno almoço bom mas sem muita diversidade, bom atendimento , excelente localização , boa cama , Ar condicionado . Duche com pouca agua , lavatório minúsculo , wi fi regular , muito ruído dos corredores e portas.

Concetto dell'hotel ben realizzato, c/ strutture a condizionare e confortevole. Equipa (ricevimento, area di pranzo, bistro/bar, passando attraverso il SPA-Natura, senza dimenticare tutto il personale che organizza le camere), simpatico, c/ disponibilità permanente. Dieta di uno di noi (Vegan) con la confezione di piatti molto piacevoli. Ha vinto un fan! Camere e Spa molto piacevoli. Consigli camera dietro (+ tranquillo). Per un fine settimana esteso per visitare la Serra da Estrela è ottimo.Congratulazioni!

Localizzazione, servizio e ristorante eccellente, ma struttura dell'hotel, in particolare la camera piuttosto antica e rumorevole, per il colazione ha una varietà ma non si riposa regolarmente.

We stayed here because we heard that the spa was interesting. And it is -it's presented in a fun way with caves and pools and very good saunas, steam rooms and showers, though it has more of a fun holiday atmosphere than a truly restorative 'serious' Spa. We stayed at the hotel and the room was comfortable. Most if the staff were friendly, and the quality of the food was great, the buffet breakfast deserves a special mention because there is EVERYTHING on offer - really excellent. Tarnishing the experience a bit was the fact that we met one waiter who essentially flounced off because we said we couldn't speak Portuguese, and could be heard mockingly (and quite loudly) echoing us by saying 'we don't speak Portuguese' to his colleague. The colleague then dutifully came over and served us very politely and pleasantly in English, but we were left feeling a bit unwanted and out of place to be honest -its simply nit feasible to speak every language! So, a bit of a mixed bag but definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

This was our second stay in this hotel. It was a secluded (of course) former convent and it still includes the chapel and the cloister, now common spaces for the guests. Quite nice!! Every room is named after an hypothetical fryer. ‘Frei Zacarias’ was a very spacious room (large lobby, bathroom and bedroom, with a balcony over the valley) which accommodated an extra bed easily. It was a bit dusty at first but, per our request, the staff took out the rugs and vacuumed. The staff is super nice and helpful - always willing to do their best with a smile! The pool bar didn’t seem to be open in the afternoon and we had to get the towels at the hotel reception (not very convenient). The pool was fine and the cold water didn’t bother us much after a whole day exploring the region under the sun. In my opinion, dinner takes too long, especially for a family with young kids. Even if we tried asking for very uncomplicated dishes, it would still take around two hours with all the preparations and waiting for the food… It feels the rooms could use a little update/refurbishment to replace a few items and such.

L'unica nota positiva per questo Hotel è la location: ottima posizione e panorama a 360 gradi. Disgraziatamente il wi fi non funzionava e bisognava uscire dalla stanza per riceverlo. L'aria condizionata era rumorosa e siamo stati disturbati fino a tarda notte da bambini che correvano rumorosamente nel corridoio, senza che il personale dell'albergo, avvertito, abbia fatto alcunché. Abbiamo trovato la TV scollegata dall'antenna e inoltre era bloccata la possibilità di utilizzare la nostra pennetta USB, con i nostri film, per ”paura di virus” , così ci hanno detto (!). I sanitari non funzionavano perfettamente. La réception è stata poco accogliente alle nostre lamentele. Siamo scappati il giorno seguente: avevamo prenotato per due giorni...

We like a quiet hotel but this place is dead. It's an interesting building and well preserved, but...... We had a good balcony with a stunning view but don't assume - most rooms have no outside space whatsoever. The flashy electric blinds were fine but the electric curtains on the other windows/doors were jammed shut. Reported, but no change in the week we were here. The little tables are a joke - tiny drawers with too little storage. We are in Portugal for 2 weeks so we have a lot of luggage. The restaurant is expensive and our first dinner was very good. The menu is not huge and it was the same every single day. I ordered cheese in filo pastry with salad and the cheese was wrapped in greaseproof paper inside the pastry. Not a small amount but a big sheet of paper. 2 courses and a single glass of wine = €82. There were no refreshments near the outdoor poolside, despite a stand marked ”Bar”. My husband went to reception (c150m) and was told the bar would be opened. Back he came (150m). 40minutes later he returned to reception (150m) to be told that the bar would not be opened and he should carry 2 coffees 150m back, down steps and across the undulating gardens. He is 74 years old. The weather wasn't great and there is NOTHING to do. A few books on the shelves, 3 in English, no board games, no evening entertainment at all. Nowhere to walk to in safety, not even the tatty-looking cafe a few hundred yards up the road. Almost all the personnel were friendly and polite but it was obvious that the hotel is woefully understaffed. There is seldom anyone present behind the bar during the evening. I even saw one frustrated guest help himself! And diabetics like me beware, the only sugar-free mixer is Coca-Cola, so good luck getting to sleep full of caffeine. There are several families here so be prepared for children running around the dining room shouting and screaming, even at 9pm. I found an emergency exit door locked and pointed this out to the duty manager. He argued that this was not an emergency exit - until I pointed the signs out to him 🙄. Assumption: English tourist = stupid. We have stayed at 2 Pestana hotels before and are members of their Vacation Club. We are supposed to expect 5* VIP treatment - certainly not here. We are trying to arrange an early departure but even that is fraught with Pestana red tape. If you come here, expect to do a lot of waiting around, walking indoors, and thumb twiddling!

Abbiamo appena arrivato a casa e ci stiamo già desiderando tornare. L'hotel è fantastico... tranquillo, accogliente e pulito. Il trattamento del personale è impeccabile, sempre cercando di rendere il soggiorno il più comodo possibile. Le strutture sono molto attentamente curate e non mancano dettagli. Nelle stanze nelle villaggi la colazione è servita nella casa stessa, in un cesto che porta alla porta la villa il personale dell'hotel, all'ora appropriata. La colazione è molto abbondante, vario e con prodotti di qualità. Il nostro cane Ron è stato felice, come noi. La Sierra de la Estrella è una meravigliosa, peraltro. Ci piace visitare il Spa per mancanza di tempo, quindi abbiamo già delle scuse per tornare. Lo consigliamo al 100%.
