Hotel con colazione a Cardiff

Non vale il prezzo pagato (probabilmente anche più alto per la partita di rugby in giornata). Posizione molto comoda in centro alla città, ho chiesto una camera silenziosa e lho avuta. Molto spaziosa ma finiture tipo vorrei ma non posso, molto scenografiche ma non così eleganti e di qualità come il prezzo pagato vorrebbe (salvietta con evidenti segni di usura, pulizia accettabile ma con qualche pecca, lavabo inspiegabilmente scomodo e basso, doccia senza box che allaga il bagno. Personale gentile ed accogliente! Rivedere il prezzo davvero troppo ambizioso.

Vintage touch with a carpet and wooden desk. I loved it. Spacious rooms for the price with a bathtub. Only drawback. There are no power sockets next to the bed. Perfect location next to the castle. I have not heard any noise at night. Super quiet.

We stayed for two nights as our bathroom is being replaced at home. This is a former Premier Inn which retains the 'footprint' and build/comfort standard of a PI. The rooms have showers instead of baths which is perfect for me. I rang ahead and requested a ground floor room which was honoured- we were given room 2 which met our needs and requirements. Bed was really comfortable, tv had limited channels but I was able to log into my Netflix. There is hanging space for your clothes, a hair dryer and plenty of sockets, none by the bed though. The WiFi was adequate for our needs. There is free, secure parking provided at the rear of the hotel - you need a code to exit so as safe as can be. No noise considering the M4 motorway and main A48 sandwich the hotel. There is a restaurant for food but we didn't use it. Menu was a bit pricey but has good reviews. All the staff that we met were friendly. The Receptionists were lovely and a big shout out to Alice who sorted our return visit next week when we get back from holiday. For the money it's excellent value for a clean, friendly place to stay.

Great location to the city centre, car park at hotel with 55 spaces and at a rate of £25 per night, very secure and well lit. Staff very friendly and available 24 hours a day. We had a free upgrade to a Kings Superior Suite which was a very spacious room, although the bathroom was quite small compared to the room size, non the less was a nice touch and discount coupons in with our key card for 10% off food and drinks and four vouchers for free coffees, which also was a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again.

Typical Holiday Inn Express with clean comfortable rooms, showers and varied breakfast. It is somewhat out of the way so if you are looking to have a pint or bite to eat elsewhere you need to drive. On the plus side there is a small Londis about 1 minute walk from the hotel. The carpark is shared between guests at this hotel and the Staybridge Suites meaning it is difficult to get a space unless you arrive by late afternoon. The alternative is to park on the main road and move it by 8am so not ideal. Check-in was painful as got served by rather grumpy receptionist who clearly lacks customer service skills and made me feel like I was putting her out by asking for a room (if possible) towards the very end of the corridor. Probably won't stay here again as initial check-in was painful, car park was too small and nothing close by in terms of food or drink.

I have a really mixed feeling about this hotel. I booked the superior room with tree lined view and asked for a quiet room: the receptionist gave me an extremely cold and noisy room right next to the motorway and above some nightclubs. My watch has identified the noise level is over the normal limit. I couldn’t fall asleep due to the loud noise even at midnight. I called the receptionist to change a room. Unfortunately, they first gave me a standard room that the heating system was not working and much smaller than I have paid for. The two maintenance officers who came to check the heating system are very helpful and suggested to change to another room. Only by then, I was able to change to another room that matched the similar sized of a superior room, but without tree lined view. I must say that all the receptionists were friendly and polite but behind their friendliness, they are not really helpful at all. I had my dinner, a sea bass meal, at the restaurant - see the photo. The dinner and the service was both outstanding. The kettle in the room was not very clean; it could easily be cleaned by using small spray to remove the calcium. The gym and swimming pool are excellent. If you are not used to live in really loud room, please double check with the receptionists. It is also not worth to pay an extra 10 pounds per night to get a so called tree lined room with extreme loud noise. I also wonder the reason for the hotel to give customers rooms that the heating system are not working. It would helpful to check before they allocate room to customers. It would also helpful that the hotel ensure that the room has reasonable temperature before admitting guests, esp on a very cold winter night. Overall, this is not a very good experience. I was not able to sleep for a whole night. I paid extra in the hope of getting a better and quiet room but ended up with one of the worst room without getting any compensation.

per questo motivo ho scelto di tornare. Purtroppo, il mio soggiorno il 27 maggio 2026 è stato estremamente deludente. Quando mi sono recata, mi è stato chiesto se mi piacesse il colazione e mi è stato detto che era molto bello. Purtroppo, il colazione era terribile. Il bacon era così duro che non poteva essere tagliato, le salsicce erano pietra fredda, e il resto del colazione cotta era secco e freddo. Ho detto questo a una cameriera che non aveva alcuna preoccupazione, e quando l'ho sollevata di nuovo alla ricezione e ho chiesto un rimborso, mi sono rifiutato. Ho allegato una foto che mostrava la qualità del colazione. Sono stato anche deluso di scoprire che c'era un'ulteriore tassa per l'uso del spa. Ho prenotato attraverso Trip.com, e nessuno della mia conferma di prenotazione menzionò le tasse di spa extra. Quando ho chiesto questo al ricevimento e ho mostrato i miei dettagli della prenotazione, mi è stato semplicemente detto di aver controllato il sito web dell'hotel. Non credo che questo sia accettabile, poiché ogni ulteriore tassa dovrebbe essere chiaramente indicata al momento della prenotazione. La mia grande delusione è stata la mancanza di servizio al cliente durante il mio soggiorno, le mie preoccupazioni per il colazione e le spese di spa sono state respinte piuttosto che rivolte, e il personale ha mostrato poca comprensione o volontà di aiutare. Questa esperienza è stata completamente diversa dalle stazioni positive che ho avuto in questo hotel in passato. Purtroppo, sulla base di questa visita, non consiglierei l'hotel e penserò molto attentamente prima di tornare. Spero che la gestione prenda queste preoccupazioni sul serio e lavori per migliorare sia il servizio clienti sia l'esperienza complessiva degli ospiti.

Had a lovely stay here, hotel was closer to many thing for you to walk around 10min. Services from staff was good. Breakfast was alright and not too fancy. You can also access the pool and other facilities. Bed was okay and comfortable only downside is that they can only change the sheets after 3days not every day when room service does their day rounds. Overall I will definitely recommend. Will definitely visit again.
