La connessione internet in camera era super veloce, quindi non ci sono stati rallentamenti durante il lavoro. Il letto era morbido e confortevole, e l'insonorizzazione era eccellente. Il controllo delle luci tramite Xiaodu non disturbava il riposo dei miei colleghi e il servizio è stato tempestivo e senza pensieri. La prossima volta che sarò qui per lavoro, sceglierò di nuovo questo hotel! 👍🏻

UUtente ospiteClean room and the front desk gave me a free upgrade to a better room. The room features a nice projector TV, blackout curtains and very appreciated heated seat toilet with bidet. The location is overall great and feels local with good access to metro. The shared laundry machines were appreciated though the dryer is rather weak. Overall, I would stay here again and it was worth the money.

Questa volta sono venuto a Shenzhen Xiaomeisha per una vacanza e ho soggiornato nel nuovo hotel MGM Shenzhen. Inizialmente ero attratto dal suo ”mare di gelatina”, ma inaspettatamente sono rimasto completamente conquistato dal tè pomeridiano del lobby bar e dal servizio di Blueberry.
Il design della hall dell'hotel è estremamente ingegnoso, adottando il concetto di ”cielo tenda”. La pellicola bianca cangiante ceramizzata, riflettendo la luce del giorno, rifrange un luccichio perlato, come se si entrasse in un palazzo sottomarino. Il lobby bar è situato in questo gioco di luci e ombre sognante, e l'atmosfera è assolutamente perfetta.
Abbiamo gustato il tè pomeridiano stagionale, presentato in modo così squisito da sembrare un'opera d'arte. Ogni boccone dei dolci era un piacere. Attraverso le finestre dal pavimento al soffitto, da un lato c'è un arredamento interno elegante e raffinato, dall'altro una costa blu infinita; ogni foto scattata è degna di una copertina.
Oltre al piacevole tè pomeridiano, lo spettacolare M Show serale dell'hotel è assolutamente imperdibile. Lo spettacolo di fuoco è impressionante ed emozionante, portando l'atmosfera della vacanza al culmine. Che sia per una vacanza in famiglia con bambini o per una fuga romantica di coppia, questo è il top del lusso costiero a Shenzhen!

There are hotels you visit, and then there are hotels that leave an imprint on your soul. The Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, belongs firmly and unequivocally in the latter category. From the moment I stepped into its soaring lobby, I knew this would be one of those stays that redefines what luxury hospitality means.
Arrival and Reception
First impressions matter, and the reception team at the Mandarin Oriental understands this with an almost intuitive grace. Jason Zhu greeted me with the kind of warmth that felt less like a rehearsed welcome and more like being received by an old friend who just happens to have impeccable professional instincts. His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you.
The Club Skyline View Room
If the lobby whispered luxury, the Club Skyline View Room declared it in full voice. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty.
The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort.
The Mandarin Club
Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people.
Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. I returned to the lounge far more often than I had planned, not just for the excellent food and drink,

- Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre.
- Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far).
- Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes.
- Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too.
- Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do.
After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services.
- Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly.
- Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi.
Cons
The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms:
1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms.
2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking.
3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time.
It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard.
I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself.
Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

RRouroudelvxingServizi: Il design è davvero bello, trasmette un'atmosfera vacanziera completa, perfetto per fare foto. Ambiente: La posizione è ottima, comoda per raggiungere la spiaggia di Dameisha in metro. Servizio: Molto buono, ci hanno fatto un upgrade gratuito della camera. Colazione: C'era tutto il necessario, consiglio i rotoli di riso con uova freschi, le bevande non erano molte ma c'era il caffè. Pulizia: La pulizia generale era a posto, ma questa volta abbiamo trovato delle macchie sul copripiumino. Tuttavia, il personale ha agito prontamente per cambiarlo.

EelauwEra la prima volta che soggiornavamo all'Intercontinental. Molti ospiti hanno fatto il check-in, ma nel complesso è stato tutto abbastanza tranquillo. Abbiamo ottenuto un upgrade gratuito al Club Intercontinental. Ringrazio il personale della reception per la sua gentile disponibilità.
Purtroppo, l'aria condizionata nella mia camera non era in condizioni normali e ho dovuto cambiarla. Il personale del Club è stato molto attento e disponibile in ogni momento. Hanno annotato chiaramente tutte le mie richieste e hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro.
La vista sulla piscina a sfioro era incredibile e la spiaggia era bellissima. Hanno fatto in modo che il personale mantenesse pulita la spiaggia ogni giorno.
È stato un soggiorno molto rilassante e lo consiglierò a tutti i miei amici.

LLarisa132Questo hotel ha una posizione comodissima, e le ragazze della reception e del ristorante non solo sono belle, ma anche dolci e gentili. La palestra è ben attrezzata, la sala colazione è sempre pulita e ordinata, e le tagliatelle Crown e le uova strapazzate fresche sono deliziose. A cena c'è un buffet con gamberi di fiume freschi a volontà, e il personale di sala è attento e premuroso, consegnando anche i pasti in camera. La cosa più sorprendente è che l'aria nella stanza circola benissimo; basta aprire la finestra per sentire una fresca brezza, senza alcuna sensazione di aria viziata. È stato un soggiorno davvero confortevole!

Offre un servizio navetta da e per il confine di Luohu, rendendo il transito semplice e senza stress. La vista dalla finestra a tutta altezza della camera è spettacolare, con il panorama della città che si estende a perdita d'occhio, e le aree comuni sono eleganti e tranquille. Tutta la stanza era immacolata, la biancheria da letto e il bagno erano inodori, e l'aria condizionata funzionava alla perfezione, rinfrescando istantaneamente l'ambiente anche in piena estate. Il personale della reception è stato cordiale e attento, rispondendo rapidamente a ogni nostra esigenza. Nel complesso, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è eccezionale. È la scelta migliore per chi deve attraversare il confine, e ci torneremo sicuramente.
