What a pleasant surprise. Rex Hotel Beppu , from entering the hotel til the end (luggage pickup) the experience we had here was beyond excellent. I will bring my family here next time. 😃

Nice room with superb sea view

There were no English speaking staff, which led to misunderstandings and unpleasant experiences. We hope to provide more written or eng speaking staff to make passengers more great experience

A perfect hotel. Very clean, sufficient carpark. Everything looks new and I particularly like the wood floor. Buffet dinner has a lot of food choices and the breakfast is very good too. See view room and the room is very big. Highly recommended and will come to stay again.

Very clean and friendly staff

The dinner was terrible. The worse dinner we have ever been served by any of the many ryokans I have been to in Japan. They served ½ kaiseki set and a buffet. The ½kaiseki set is pathetic. Very poor quality and very small quantity. It is shameful to call it kaiseki. The snow crabs in the buffet is unfit for human consumption. The breakfast was good and the rooms are big. But it cannot make up for the poor standard of the dinner and the high price of the room. Last. The yukata is of the poorest quality I have ever cone across.

The window view is excellent, ocean view. When bathing in the hot spring, it has the same great sea view. However, the air conditioner seems not cold enough. And it is not allowed to extend the check out time even I am willing to pay the extension fee.

臨時決定在別府住一晚，可選的酒店也不多，最後挑了別府雷克斯，備註了高樓層希望景觀能好點，最後給了一間3樓的房！酒店進門是需要脱鞋的，這個會對衞生清潔有一定要求，實際看來並不是很滿意，進了房間後又發現枕頭有異味，不知道是不是沒有更換枕套，有潔癖的需要慎重考慮一下！頂樓的温泉是加分項，直面海景，起得早的可以邊泡湯邊看日出，運氣好的話還能包場！

來別府那天下大雨，濕漉漉從巴士站下來（酒店距離別府jr站有三站路，走路20min），門口老爺爺從雨裏迎出來幫我拎行李，還幫我擦了行李箱，這家酒店進門脱鞋把鞋子存在門口寄存處，入住台旁邊有一次性拖鞋（救大命），不習慣衹穿襪子行走的話記得拿
