The customer service was truly amazing — we were even upgraded to a beautiful suite with an oceanfront view, which made a huge difference. The buffet was great with lots of options, and the staff throughout the hotel was consistently friendly and welcoming. However, a few things to note: there are very pushy salespeople around the property who are constantly trying to upsell timeshares and spa packages. It’s understandable, but it did get a little tiring at times. The hotel is directly on the beach, but the beachfront isn’t ideal for swimming since it’s very rocky and shallow. You need to walk about five minutes down to find a spot where you can comfortably swim. The overall vibe of the hotel is a bit outdated and cheesy — definitely a mixed crowd of younger people looking to party and older guests, giving it a bit of a “cruise ship” atmosphere. My husband and I had never done an all-inclusive before, and although we got an amazing deal, it’s probably not something we would repeat at this property. As for dining: • The buffet was solid — lots of choices, decent quality — I’d rate it a 7/10. • The two à la carte restaurants (that required reservations) were subpar, so we honestly preferred the buffet experience. • The sushi swim-up bar was a bit of a letdown; the sushi wasn’t great (but understandable given the location). Our only real disappointment was the hot tub — it was very tiny, difficult to find, far away from everything, and when we finally reached it on our last night, it was lukewarm and not fully functioning. Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly all-inclusive with great staff, decent food, and a nice view — this is a good choice. Just know it’s not super luxurious, and swimming directly in front of the hotel isn’t ideal. It’s located right in the heart of Playa where there are lots of partying going on, if you want that sort of scene. We’re glad we tried it, but we’ll probably explore other options and quieter locations next time.

Questo hotel si trova perfettamente a un isolato dalla principale ****. È possibile sentire la musica trasferita dai bar vicini, ma non mi ha disturbato, si aspetta in un luogo come questo. Quando si accede, vi dà una TV a distanza e vi dica di non spostare il termostat. L'AC era fissato a correre tutta la notte e non aveva una funzione automatica, quindi è fatto per notti estremamente fredde. La ragione per cui ho ridotto il rating è il servizio clienti. Voi siete forniti solo due asciugamani e non ci sono asciugamani a mano. Ho provato a chiamare il desk front, ma nessuno ha risposto alle 6 volte che ho chiamato. Ho dovuto scendere e prendere uno da me stesso dove mi è stato chiesto di firmarlo. Non molto. Tuttavia, il giorno dopo il custode ha preso questa tovagliola e non l'ha mai sostituita. Spero di non essere accusato di una tovagliola di mano piccola.

We stayed at the Viva Azteca Hotel for 7 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we entered our room, the small gestures made for our anniversary made us very happy. All the staff members are smiling and doing their best to ensure you have a relaxing holiday. The resort has a perfect beach. However, the sea was very wavy and covered with sea plants. The food and evening shows were very good. There are plenty of places to visit around the hotel. It is also within walking distance to the 5th Avenue in the center. As a result, we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you Viva Azteca, you brought color to our lives.

La stanza che mi era stata assegnata era così alta che mi chiedevo di essere cambiata perché non potevo dormire. Il personale ha sostenuto che l'hotel era completamente prenotato, ma le camere erano disponibili per prenotare su diverse piattaforme di prenotazione!

Personally, the music sound from the bar did not inturrupt us because we are used to those noise. But if you need a quiet place to sleep, then the hotel would be the bad choice. They did not have a hair dryer so we should’ve dry hair with A/C🤣 There were some bugs like ants and mosquitos which freaked my partner. But “I” was satisfied about the hotel’s cleanness and in/exterior because it looked quite good. If you like bar, there is a good bar in front of the hotel and also a taco place. Overall, the experience in the hotel was quite good for me and the location was also so good because it’s so close(one block) from the 5th ave.

Lo consiglierei, vale il prezzo. Posizione centralissima, vicino alla strada principale e alla spiaggia. La camera era molto spaziosa e pulita. C'è stato un problema con la pressione dell'acqua all'inizio, ma l'hanno risolto in un paio d'ore. La terrazza sul tetto è bella, la piscina non è molto grande ed era un po' sporca. La colazione inclusa prevede solo una scelta tra 4 portate, ma è gustosa.

Ottima accoglienza, stanza grande, ma dovrebbe avere una copertura per entrare al primo piano. È davvero brutto dover entrare nella stanza sotto la pioggia quando piove. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo perché la posizione è ottima.

Era un albergo magnifico. Gli addetti alla reception erano molto accoglienti e molto attenti alle nostre esigenze. La nostra camera veniva pulita ogni giorno. È stato splendido. La posizione è perfetta e la piscina è molto piacevole, né troppo fredda né troppo calda. Perfetto per il clima. Utilizzerò nuovamente questo hotel se dovessi tornare a Playa Del Carmen. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è imbattibile in una location così vicina al mare. Non capisco i commenti negativi su questo hotel!  In breve, per noi impeccabile…

The service was nothing short of brilliant! Friendly staff (thank you Sofia and Marisol). Slight issue with the water in our shower in room 201, so we were immediately offered to move to another room 305 with was smaller but sunnier and much better shower . The Housekeeping was wonderful too. The rooms were clean and lovely. Fantastic location. The only thing to keep in mind is that there’s a bar with a live band that plays late into the night, so if you like your peaceful sleep before 2:30 or 3 am then this hotel is not for you! There can also be noise from passers by and street performers. Otherwise, perfect central location on the 5th Avn. near to the player Mamita next to many 4/5 stars hotels. It’s lovely place to stay. Oh also, there is a rooftop little pool with jacuzzi and its perfect for quiet sunbathing too if you don’t like sand
