Playa Palms Beach Hotel

Hotel is close to the Main Street where all the bars , restaurants and clubs, but the beach area not really made for swimming, there are parking for boats so smell like gasoline.

A little gem in the middle of the city! Quiet and clean. Only 24 or so units. All with a view of the central courtyard. Next time would stay on the ground floor in a pool view room as the beach seating is limited and no chairs around the pool. Delicious breakfast delivered to our patio each morning for $10/person with lots of options to choose from. Be on 5th Ave in an easy 3 minute walk, just 2 blocks off Constitutional Ave. but away from the hustle and bustle. And 1.5 blocks from 2 public beach accesses. Great for a two night stay like we did, or a month long adventure! We found an oasis in Playa del Carmen.

Right in the middle of Downtown. Restaurants, marketplace just 2 mins away. The beach, the breeze, the view - Outstanding. We walked to all the nearby beaches.

This hotel is good, however be mindful that the beach is not as in the pictures and when we visited, the beach smelled terrible as well.

The only thing i didnt like was no beach.I thought it was on a white sand beach.There is no sand here.Otherwise it was excellent.Staff were great.Helpful and courteous.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The room was spacious and the balcony was lovely. The only issue we had was that we asked for the in-room coffee and creamer packets to be refilled and they said they couldn't. And they weren't refilled when the room was cleaned either.

We got the penthouse, the view is fabulous. We have a balcony with chairs, beach chairs and hammock. Everything is great. We were able to book a tour to Xcaret park with Carlos who was at the front desk. Concerns: 1. The pool is beautiful, but it looks like not for swimming purposes. It is by the beach, but you cannot get into the water right in front of the hotel, since it is rocky.

The location is great, close to everything and still quiet and calm. We had a lovely stay.

So much nicer than an all-inclusive - right in the middle of the action yet we felt so private! Our room is oceanfront and the veranda literally hanging right over the water. The soothing lapping of the waves and palm-tree lined ocean view with boats bobbing gently was unbeatable. Walk to anything you want. Recommend the nearby Gobernador for food and libations and Carlota bakery next door - just one block away. Hotel staff were incredibly kind, efficient, and professional. If we ever go back to Playa we will definitely stay here.
