Before the pandemic, I used to write hotel reviews quite regularly. However, in recent years, most hotels I have stayed at have generally met my expectations in terms of service and hospitality, so I rarely felt compelled to write one. Modena by Fraser Bangkok, however, left me with no choice but to pick up my pen again. It was not because of grand luxury, but because of the warmth, sincerity, and thoughtful gestures that truly made me feel at home throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine smiles and warm greetings at the lobby. Check-in was smooth, efficient, and hassle-free, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. I booked a Deluxe King Room, and it certainly did not disappoint. The room was spacious, clean, well-appointed, and equipped with everything I needed. The amenities were excellent, but the highlight was undoubtedly the bed—it was incredibly comfortable and provided a great night's sleep after long days exploring Bangkok. The hotel's facilities were another highlight. Both the fitness centre and laundrette operate 24 hours a day, which is extremely convenient for travellers. The laundrette has three washing machines and three dryers. Washing costs THB 150 and drying costs THB 120. The washing machine automatically weighs your laundry, so the duration depends on the load. My four days' worth of clothes took about an hour to wash, while drying required the standard one hour. As someone who enjoys working out while travelling, I made full use of the gym every day. It exceeded my expectations, offering free weights, a Smith machine, resistance machines targeting different muscle groups, treadmills, and stationary bikes. It had everything I needed to stay active and maintain my fitness routine during the trip. Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. The selection was excellent, with many of the hot dishes and pastries changing daily, making each morning feel fresh and enjoyable. The location is also a major advantage. The hotel is located right next to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) MRT station and is only one stop from Sukhumvit Station, where Terminal 21 is located. It is also just two MRT stops from the Makkasan/Phetchaburi interchange for the Airport Rail Link, making travel to and from the airport very convenient. A 7-Eleven next to the hotel is another welcome bonus. Before I conclude, I would like to share one small incident that perfectly reflects the hotel's exceptional hospitality. On the second day of my stay, the light bulb at the room entrance stopped working. To me, this was simply normal wear and tear. I informed the front desk before heading out, and by the time I returned, the light bulb had already been replaced. The following day, after returning from my outing, I found a small towel elephant placed on my work desk, together with some snacks and a handwritten apology card from the hotel regarding the light bulb incident. I was genuinely touched. It was such a small gesture, yet it spoke volumes about how much the team cared about their guests. Throughout my travels, very few hotels have gone the extra mile in such a thoughtful and heartfelt way. Thank you, Modena by Fraser Bangkok, for making me feel genuinely valued and welcomed. Lastly, I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the housekeeping team. Every day, I returned to a spotless, tidy, and welcoming room. It truly felt like coming home after a long day of sightseeing. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Modena by Fraser Bangkok to anyone planning a trip to Bangkok. With its excellent service, comfortable accommodation, well-equipped facilities, convenient location, and above all, a team that genuinely cares about its guests, this is a hotel I will gladly return to on my next visit.

Ho trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso al Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Menam Riverside. Il personale è stato eccezionalmente disponibile, cordiale e sempre pronto ad aiutarmi, facendomi sentire benvenuto durante tutto il soggiorno. La camera era spaziosa, pulita e molto confortevole, con tanto spazio per rilassarsi dopo una giornata trascorsa a esplorare la città. La colazione a buffet è assolutamente da provare: offre una grande varietà di deliziose opzioni per tutti i gusti ed è stata uno dei punti forti del mio soggiorno. Anche la posizione è molto comoda, con facile accesso al lungofiume e ai mezzi di trasporto, il che rende semplice spostarsi in città. Nel complesso, è stata un'esperienza fantastica e ci tornerei volentieri.

L'hotel non è lontano dall'aeroporto internazionale di Suvarnabhumi ed è raggiungibile in mezz'ora. È a soli 5 minuti dalla stazione della metropolitana. È molto comodo entrare e uscire, ma non c'è nemmeno il cibo nelle vicinanze stazioni della metropolitana lontane da Rama 9. Fortunatamente Ctrip mi ha dato la soluzione migliore. L'ambiente dell'hotel non è male, il servizio è molto buono, lo spazio della camera è abbastanza grande, il letto è abbastanza grande, può ospitare due persone, e il bagno non è piccolo, ma la doccia nella vasca è un po' insapore, la doccia a fontana, gli spruzzi d'acqua ovunque, il lavaggio Dopo aver fatto la doccia, tutto il bagno era bagnato ed era facile scivolare. Ho soggiornato qui abbastanza spesso, la posizione è un po' decentrata. L'hotel offriva il servizio navetta, controllate gli orari e ricordatevi di informare la reception se state aspettando il trasporto. Questa volta ci sono stati diversi cambiamenti nell'hotel. Più punti di ristoro disponibili, il che rende più comodo per tutti gli ospiti, e un minimarket Lawson aperto 24 ore su 24. Per quanto riguarda la camera, ci sono aspetti positivi e negativi nel spostare il letto più in basso. Se decidete di mettere il letto al piano inferiore, è meglio spostare l'interruttore generale e montare la TV a parete invece di lasciarla sul mobile. Non potrete guardare la TV stando sdraiati sul letto. Onestamente, preferisco il letto sul soppalco. Infine, ci sono due cose che vorrei sottolineare. Primo, i tempi di attesa per l'ascensore sono eccessivamente lunghi e ogni volta che ho soggiornato un ascensore era fuori servizio per manutenzione. Non sono sicuro che ci sia una sequenza per gli orari degli impianti di risalita, a volte tutti e tre sono in funzione contemporaneamente all'ultimo piano. In secondo luogo, durante il check-in si percepisce un'atmosfera molto diversa rispetto alla mia prima visita nel novembre 2024, non più accogliente e cordiale come prima. Tuttavia, vale comunque la pena soggiornarvi e ci tornerò a giugno, se non sarò diretto a Chiang Mai.

Hotel a cinque stelle su Phetchaburi Road Questo è un grande hotel a cinque stelle situato su Phetchaburi Road. La maggior parte degli ospiti è indiana. Ho soggiornato lì a Capodanno e il prezzo è salito a 16.500 baht, un prezzo piuttosto alto. Ho alloggiato in una camera Superior King, di circa 30 metri quadrati. Pensavo che la camera fosse un po' vecchia, ma era pulita e il letto era comodo. Il bagno era piuttosto datato; bisognava stare in piedi nella vasca per fare la doccia e il sapone e lo shampoo non erano di marca. A mio parere, dovrebbero usare una marca migliore. La palestra aveva molte macchine, ma sembravano modelli vecchi, non delle marche più recenti. Nel complesso, il prezzo è alto (in alta stagione), la camera è accettabile e la palestra è un vantaggio.

Ho apprezzato moltissimo il soggiorno con la mia amica e, cosa più importante, ho pagato un prezzo ragionevole, nonostante il periodo natalizio in cui la maggior parte degli hotel è molto costosa! Sebbene la hall del primo piano abbia un odore strano (forse perché l'hotel non è nuovo come gli altri), la mia camera è molto pulita e confortevole. Non ho riscontrato particolari problemi e ho trascorso una vacanza fantastica, che ha segnato una splendida conclusione dei miei viaggi del 2025 ☺️

Abbiamo apprezzato molto il nostro soggiorno qui. È fuori dai sentieri battuti, con alcuni vicoli, ma c'è una navetta che vi porta avanti e indietro ogni 30 minuti, oppure potete semplicemente chiamare un Grab. Ha una bellissima piscina e una sorgente termale solo per i mesi invernali, che potete prenotare con una vasca idromassaggio fredda se siete interessati. Non ho provato la colazione. La consegna a domicilio è troppo semplice e la varietà è migliore. La camera d'albergo era dotata di forno a microonde e frigorifero, il che è estremamente utile se ordinate cibo da asporto e avete degli avanzi. Tutti sono stati gentili e cordiali. Ci tornerei sicuramente.
