Le camere erano belle e pulite. Il bagno aveva una cattiva luce di notte. Molto difficile da vedere in uno specchio. Il personale era amichevole, ma doveva approvi le nostre richieste. Non sempre lì. Altrimenti un bel posto per il prezzo, buon valore.

Puri Payogan is located strategically in Ubud. The place is very serene and our family really enjoyed our stay at Puri Payogan Villa. The staffs were super helpful and accommodating. We were looking for a place in Ubud where we could really enjoy nature and we found that Puri Payogan Villa was the perfect place for that. All our needs were met and accommodated, the breakfast were delicious as well. Overall we would definitely recommend everyone to stay at Puri Payogan Villa Ubud

This is probably the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. The pictures don't do it justice. When we arrived and saw our surroundings we were really mindblown. Incredible that you walk down a driveway and you're on a busy Ubud street and just a short walk away this paradise hides. Luckily we don't have any mobility issues.. We were in Deluxe Suite 208 (the Rosie room). It's on the very bottom level of the hotel so we got to do every single stair when we wanted to go up the main lobby or the restaurant. It's a bit rough; even if you're in shape. Stop a long the way for photo breaks so ppl don't know you're about to have a heart attack, lol. The food in the restaurant was good. Not amazing but good (we were maybe spoiled by our previous hotel in the food department). The espressos, cappucinos etc are amazing and are not included in your breakfast which was a little on the cheap side in my opinion. One thing we would have really loved was if room service opened early (they only open at 11) to be able to have a quiet breakfast or a non-instant coffee on our beautiful jungle balcony. Also, we ordered room service dinner one night and they said they'd be back to collect the dishes.. They didn't come back till past noon the next day so our balcony table was covered in dirty dishes and eventually flies and ants. It would have been nice to have a prompt clean up. Not a huge crisis but a bit annoying. We each had a 4 handed massage and it was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend. A little more expensive than a street massage obviously but still worked out to about $45 USD- much much cheaper than that service at home. The rates here are very reasonable for what you get. The view will change your soul, honestly. We slept with the doors wide open which was beautiful, as long as you're cool with roosters and all kinds of birds early AM. I would definitely recommend. Location is great too, about a 25 minute walk to central Ubud, but there are many restaurants, bars, scooter rentals, ATMs etc all within a couple of steps from the main entrance.

Two of us went up to Ubud for the night to celebrate my birthday. I’ve stayed at Mathis Retreat a few times over the years, going right back to before the name change, I’ve and eaten in the restaurant on other occasions when not staying there. The view from the pool, restaurant and some of the rooms, for me, is the best in Ubud. I’ve also stayed at their sister hotel in Amed, and the place in Bumbak is close to where I live. The restaurant there is great. So it’s safe to say I like the group very much. But my latest visit didn’t go well. After spending a nice afternoon in town we came back to take baths, relax and get ready for dinner at Locavore. But there was no hot water in our room (11) and not really much by way of an apology. So a quick splash under a cold shower instead. Next morning, still nothing until eventually we were told we could use a bungalow to shower in. But it felt like we were having to chase for something to be done. A quick search online revealed that this seems to be a bit of a recurring problem. It makes a massive difference to a guest’s enjoyment of the hotel. Separately, a few other observations: * Coffee machine in the restaurant broken. * Nasty bread at breakfast. Cheapest possible white bread for toast and a fake bagel! It was just a cheap bun with a dimple in it, and not especially fresh. * 45 minute delay in bringing us an iron after we requested one. * no hairdryer in room. * Just like the bread, the toiletries are all the cheapest possible chemical smelling ones. Surely such a lovely hotel would be better off charging a dollar a night more and providing something decent? It creates the wrong impression. I wanted to come back next month as my brother is visiting from UK but I was nervous about making a booking in case things go wrong again. I didn’t really want to write a negative review. It makes me sad. I contacted the hotel directly to discuss our stay but they didn’t respond.

Il personale dell'hotel è molto amichevole. Se incontri problemi, vi consultano e sono molto amichevole. L'ultimo giorno c'era una foto del matrimonio, e il tempo di partenza era passato, ma era disposto a prestarmi una stanza. Questa è una bella villa circondata da alberi di arachidi e alberi verdi, e la colazione fuori è la migliore. Voglio tornare alla miglior villa!

Eka & Amelia at the reception was really a star for the hotel super helpful and friendly. Other staffs from housekeeping and engineering are equally friendly but we didn’t get their names. The location is actually at the outskirts of Ubud so don’t get confused with the Villa’s full name but nonetheless it’s nice to be slightly away from the crowd the morning breeze and air freshness was amazing ! A great spot for honeymooners. Room was extremely spacious only thing that could be improved was to have a proper luggage rack what is big enough to place our luggages. As for the shower would really appreciate if there’s a proper divider from the sun bed as each time during shower the soap and water will hit the sun bed not so hygienic in my Opinion . Lastly it’s quite disappointing on the website here it shows photos of the breakfast on floating trays but actually If u want the floating tray you needed to pay additional. Would appreciate if it’s stated Clearly rather that’s a misleading. Photobooth
