I loved my upgraded room on the ninth flor and just found the Hotel overall to be an oasis of luxury. This was my first time at this property, and I was really well-treated. I was recognised as a Platinum Member and basically, thoroughly spoiled. I had a very restful night's sleep. The bedding was incredibly soft with crisp, fresh linen galore! Like Macarthur, I shall return!

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti nello scorso mese di dicembre in questo hotel a Auckland, al costo di € 424,00 (camera doppia con colazione compresa): mica male!!!!! L’hotel si trova nel centro della città, in Queen Street, la via dello shopping, a pochi passi dalle principali attrazioni. Abbiamo scelto una camera “Queen Superior”, di dimensioni non eccezionali (mentre il bagno era stupendo e grande): abbiamo avuto difficoltà a posizionare i bagagli sul pavimento. Purtroppo la pulizia, sebbene si trattava di un hotel 5 stelle superior, non era delle migliori: abbiamo trovato residui dei precedenti occupanti sotto il letto, mai puliti durante il nostro soggiorno. L’ambiente al piano terra è molto bello ma la cosa peggiore è stata la colazione (continental), veramente scadente. NESSUNA SCELTA possibile, ci hanno portato un vassoietto a testa con 2 piccoli dolci, 3 (proprio 3!!!!) fettine di salame, 2 piccolissime fettine di prosciutto, 1 piccolo pezzo di formaggio, 1 piccolo vasetto di yogurth bianco, 1 piccolo vasetto di yogurth con qualche cereale ed un piccolo bicchiere di frutta. Nessuna fetta biscottata o pane. Il tutto con caffè americano e due piccoli contenitori di latte (chiesti un paio di volte). Abbiamo fatto le nostre rimostranze a chi di dovere ma ci è stato risposto che non erano pronti a gestire un numero elevato di persone: ci pare che per l’importo pagato il servizio ricevuto sia stato veramente scadente. Mai più da loro.

I booked out this morning from The Sebel Viaduct and it will be the last time I book out of here. I have stayed several times over the past years and this stay was a disappointment. For the room rate charged, some nights AUD$348.00 I expect a room that does not have a cracked sink, swollen door on the bathroom and tired paint with chips and marks. The room was clean and the cleaning staff do a great job sprucing up this tired old hotel. Add to this a fridge that did not work correctly so the milk I purchased went off before the expiry date it was a poor performance. I do agree with other reviews staff are friendly however more should be provided for the price. Add to that $38.00 a night parking and then want $40.00 for internet access which I did not pay as an Accor member but would have if not a member you have lost my patronage. Certainly not a silver rating, even room service stopped at 9;00pm so could not make use of that.

Sofitel Auckland We arrived at Sofitel Auckland 2 days after the drive staying Auckland floods of 28 January 2023. The hotel had been heavily damaged and affected and was not operational. In spite of this we were received and offered sanctuary and shelter while the hotel staff followed some very well executed businesses continuity processes. We were met by Karim the concierge who invited us in sat us comfortably in the lounge and provided drinks while the assistant manage Lucy’s went about sorting out our repatriation to the JW Marriott. Stephen Gould the GM introduced himself to us and advised he had arranged a car to take us the the JW Marriott as the Sofitel was unserviceable. The staff were professional apologetic and polite. We had every confidence they had the situation under control. We felt very safe and comfortable. We finished our drinks and hopped in the car to leave. We felt very grateful for their professionalism and sorry for their suffering. We hope they get back online very soon. We will be back. Thank-you Stephen and Sofitel Auckland you made a stressful situation so much better while you were yourselves enduring a stressful situation.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was perfectly allocated for our needs on this visit. With all the construction going on around the hotel, we were a bit overwhelmed but the hotel staff directed us perfectly to the security parking as well as to our destination the next morning. Breakfast was very good and the staff was once again very friendly and helpful.

The staff was very helpful. We arrived very early, so our room wasn't ready. They not only allowed us to store our luggage. They took it to our room went it was ready. So when we returned after exploring the city, all we had to do was check in and get our key. The room was an efficiency. While it had a kitchen, it was missing things such as pot holders and dish drainer. The bathroom and shower were a slip hazard, step up to the shower and no grab bars. Otherwise, the room was large and would have been comfortable for a long stay. They gave us only one key. The key is needed to keep the lights on. So if one of us went out, they had to leave the key, then call up to the room when they returned, because they need a key to run the elevator. If we had been staying longer, we would have asked for a second key. There is a convenience store across the street and lots of restaurants within a block or two.

Il vantaggio principale è la posizione, proprio fuori dalla principale zona commerciale di Queen Street, meno di 10 minuti a piedi dalle aree Viaduct e Britomart. Supermercati meno di cinque minuti a piedi, SkyCity appena in piedi, ecc. L'edificio stesso non è niente flash con una piccola zona di accoglienza e due piccoli ascensori. Ci siamo stati in un 2 dormitorio, 2 appartamento da bagno sul 7° piano e l'appartamento era molto confortevole e aveva abbastanza spazio per rilassarsi. Il WiFi funzionava bene. La piccola cucina aveva le basi necessarie per la colazione e preparare un pasto leggero e snack; una camera da bagno era un en suite fuori dalla camera principale, mentre l'altra era più grande e conteneva lavastoviglie e asciugatrice. Sfortunatamente, abbiamo sofferto dal rumore di costruzione in strada, che non ha nulla a che fare con l'hotel, ma volevamo dormire con l'aria condizionata su di essa piuttosto che avere una finestra o una porta aperta. Il weekend era meno rumoroso, ma c'era ancora qualche costruzione.

L'Holiday Inn Express è uno dei miei hotel preferiti durante il mio soggiorno in Nuova Zelanda 2-week. Situato nel cuore della zona cbd di Auckland e vicino a tutto (supposti, ristoranti, bar, porto). È un passo 6-minute alla Sky Tower dove si può prendere l'autobus Airport Express per $17 nzd. L'ingresso dell'hotel è in un inclinamento significativo. La reception è al secondo piano che si può prendere un ascensore o un escalatore. La caffetteria e il piccolo salone sono a destra del ricevimento. Il colazione è stato il solito uova scrambled, salsa, ham, toast, yogurt, cereali, frutta, muffin e altre pasticcerie. A causa del grande volume di clienti, le due macchine da caffè erano di solito basse sul latte per preparare alcune bevande da caffè.Amo la stanza. Il giardino è sul bagno e ha abbastanza spazio per il bagaglio. La doccia è chiusa in un cubo di vetro con disegni d'onda. Un luce notturna nella camera da bagno ha risparmiato energia se avete bisogno di un po' di luce per muoversi intorno alla stanza. Il letto era comodo e l'a/c ha funzionato. Il personale della reception mi ha fatto stare un'ora di più dopo l'ora di check-out per la stanza che avevo con la mia tour. La stanza che ho prenotato dopo la tour era pronta e mi sono resa a casa alle 11:00 prima della mia tour. La costruzione si sta verificando intorno all'hotel, con le strade in rovina e un nuovo edificio in costruzione vicino all'hotel.

Purtroppo ci sono molte opere stradali intorno all'hotel, quindi è difficile per gli autobus entrare soprattutto. Tuttavia, non lasciate che questo vi metta fuori. Ha una posizione fantastica, proprio oltre la strada Sky Tower, per non perdere mai, un concierge amichevole e conosciuto e un piccolo negozio con alcuni buoni souvenir. Le colazioni sono state, a mio avviso, le migliori che abbia mai avuto in viaggio - e sono stato in molti hotel in molti luoghi negli anni! Grande selezione, ben presentata, perfettamente cucinata e i pancake più dolci del mondo!

I will try to be as constructive as possible with my review, but before all that, I will say this was probably the worst hostel I have ever stayed in! If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have stayed in many hostels around the world, and I understand that not all hostels are perfect. You get what you pay for with hostels. But I've never stayed in a hostel so bad that I checked out 2 days early! The roof of the rooms was absolutely disgusting to look at. The ensuite bathroom was filthy as well. I arrived late in the evening on my 1st night, and there wasn't even toilet paper in the bathroom! I had 2 horrible nights of sleep on a horrible mattress, a wafer thin pillow, and a blanket that you wouldn't throw over the back of a couch! On my last night, I actually had to wear a hoodie to keep warm! And when you climbed into the top bunk, if there wasn't somebody lying in the bottom bunk, the bunk beds nearly leaned over! Not exactly safe! You couldn't relax on the bed either it was so uncomfortable! There is no breakfast provided! At the very least, the most basic of hostels will provide cereal and toast! Not here, unfortunately. There are only plugs on the bottom half of the rooms as well, which means you have to plug your devices into a plug on the floor in the middle of the room! In a room full of strangers! And while there are lockers available, they're light, so if someone wanted to pick it up and steal it, they could. A few tips for this hostel: 1: Comfortable mattresses, proper sheets and duvets, and proper pillows. 2: Deep clean the rooms every so often. 3: Charging points that are easily accessible to people on top and bottom bunks. 4: No lights out at 10 pm! While this didn't affect me as I stayed away from the hostel as long as possible until I wanted to go to bed, lights out at 10pm is a load of b******s! Remember, it's a room full of adults. 5: Clean the communal bathrooms and showers! They weren't exactly the cleanest places in the world. Do a deep clean on them every so often. And fix some of the doors on the communal toilets because some of them don't lock. 0/10 guys, unfortunately. This place really needs to get its act together.
