Really enjoyed our stay in a beautiful historic building with a great social history. We had a lovely welcome and the reception was very impressive. We had a view of the tower from our room which was a lovely surprise when we got there. Breakfast was very good, laid out well, good range of hot and cold buffet items. To top it all we ate by the window and enjoyed the sea view! We will be back 😁

Stayed here many times before but not in a while due to travel restrictions, hotel is still in good condition and service still good, not surprisingly for Blackpool the breakfast is a little chaotic but that’s expected, In fondo è la nuova tariffa di parcheggio, 18 sterline al giorno è eccessiva per un parcheggio non sicuro.

Grande piccolo personale di soggiorno dell'hotel sono amichevole e utile, e le camere sono molto decente in dimensione perfetta per avere 2 letti matrimoniali. Le camere erano molto pulite e luminose. Il tram è un must se il tempo è cattivo! Fortunatamente c'è un fermo lungo la strada dall'hotel, a 45 minuti a piedi da qui a nord Pier

Albergo con un bel posto per bambini e adulti, ma nonostante il povero tempo, abbiamo potuto godere di nuoto, arcade e spazio di gioco. Le camere sono state a buon mercato a soli 6 minuti di auto, l'alloggio era pulito e la cucina era ben attrezzata. Ci piaceva in particolare quella tovagliola, le sponde e il lavaggio del liquido forniti, nonché la salsa, pepe, tè, caffè, zucchero e latte di porzione. Grazie per il buon soggiorno!

L'hotel è vecchio ma non è un cattivo hotel per il prezzo che si ottiene quello che si paga per 66 sterline per una stanza familiare per la notte non è cattivo a tutti io non ho mangiato qui solo bevuto e andato a un fiume Sauna e posizione di nuoto è un po' fuori strada ma se si passa il tram non è un problema Ubers sono un po' lento a venire a voi Ma questo è su di esso mi sarei certamente tornato senza problemi

The Tickled Trout Hotel was a great hotel. We only stayed 1 night, room was bigger than I thought it would be. Only 1 problem was that the bathroom needs a complete revamp because it is extremely dated. There was only a trickle of water from the shower head. Eventually we got hot water, it took ages to come. The rooms are a little dated but they r cute.

The hotel is not really in Chorley, being located to the south west and some distance, from Chorley. It is situated on a motorway service area which is only accessible from the northbound M6. Exit is onto the northbound M6 too. This means that you have a rather long trek along the motorway if you are intending to access local amenities - or CHORLEY. It's fine as a stopover if you are actually travelling north on the M6. The hotel required more information at check-in the most do these days and they insist on you registering a debit/credit card at reception for a room deposit. No money is taken unless you damage something but they have carte blanche to take money and argue with you later should they so choose. Very few (none in my recent experience) hotels take such measures these days. In the era of fraud and identity theft it is never ideal to hand over information of any kind. The room was very comfortable and well appointed but the shower was very slippery. There were notices in the bathroom but some effort to make the bathroom less hazardous would be more useful. Overall there are better alternatives locally that do not require card details and are much easier to get to by car, and indeed public transport or cycle. Go elsewhere for the same standard of accomodation without the hassle.

Perfect location for my needs , really polite friendly staff , nice warm room , really happy with my choice will definitely return when I have to visit this area again

It's a little far from Blavkpool North Station in the center of town, but it's close by bus or train. The Blackpool Grand Hotel is a very large hotel and very easy to find, so I thought it was a safe hotel for beginners. The front desk staff are always on standby, so I thought it was a very safe hotel.

Very conveniently located, spacious car park but standard breakfast, a definite choice for transit travellers. Stayed here with for one night, hotel is clean and room was spacious with styled furniture. Breakfast lacked a bit variety. Beds were hard. There were some events there at the same time we were checking out so it was a bit busy in the reception area.

Grande posizione, vicino alla torre.

I thought the option to buy breakfast was brilliant, although we didn’t, we could have done. Also we liked that our room wasn’t cleaned everyday as there was no need, therefore we weren’t disturbed

La camera era sbagliata, aveva prenotato 2 letti matrimoniali e aveva 1 piccolo doppio e 2 singole. WIFI non funziona e nessun segnale telefonico. La pressione dell'acqua dal doccia era terribile e era calda o fredda. Anche con i capelli era sporca. Il radiatore nella stanza ha fatto un rumore terribile che stava scalzando tutta la notte. I letti sono come dormire sul cemento. Nessuno è a ricezione dalle 22:00 e al mattino quando mi restituisce la carta chiave nessuno era a ricezione per lamentarsi. Non ritornerebbe o consiglia questo hotel a nessuno

It's a little far from Blackpool North Station, but the rooms are very spacious. It's not a super luxury hotel, but it's very clean and comfortable. There is also an elevator. The Henson hotel is a little far from the station and downtown, so if you have a large suitcase, it's a good idea to take a taxi. There are buses and trams running so it's fine even at night.

Lovely hotel and very easy to find on foot from the train station. Early check in and late check out is not an add on. Requests will be put forward and it’s a chance you have to take on the day. They were very accommodating in letting me check in earlier. Thank you Front of house (reception) Georgia needs extensive training on how to speak to people. I said ‘mate’ in a friendly tone to her colleague. She aggressively told me not to call him that! I apologised and asked if I should be calling him ‘sir’ she said ‘yes, that’s better’ I was so embarrassed, she made me feel like I’d done something awful like swear. I later asked other members of staff if it was offensive to say ‘mate’ in Preston. It isn’t? So then why was I spoken to in such a tone. They said she was probably in a bad mood & took it out on me. THIS IS NOT AND SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR from any staff member towards a paying guest! The Room Heather is an absolute credit to the team. She had my room ready early. It was immaculately clean when I got there. Beds are very comfortable, I slept like a baby. The domestic team were so kind and helpful at any given moment. Whether it be for extra towels, milk or tbags. Nothing was too much for them. It was a nice view with a window that opens enough to let the breeze in. Ac worked lovely especially with how hot it’s been. Breakfast I’m allergic to eggs. I wanted a warm breakfast. I requested a vegetarian sausage that was eggless. They don’t serve these. Ok I later asked if there was a vegan option. They said the sausage was vegan but not suitable for egg allergy sufferers. So it’s not vegan? It was such an ordeal I just had cereal the first day. They were happy to correct themselves that it was in fact a vegan sausage. If it had been a better experience I would’ve taken pictures. But, to feel like an inconvenience is not an experience I’ve had before in a hotel of this stature.

La ricezione amichevole, molto pulita, fantastica colazione, grande hotel, la nostra unica critica è stata la luce della stanza era molto povera. Le bolle devono essere state ultra basse wattaggio.

Letti confortevoli. Servizi ricreativi molto buoni. Personale di ricezione brutto. Check-in molto frustrante. Avevamo un grande furgone non poteva uscire o entrare e dovevamo continuare a camminare per la ricezione per loro aprire la porta perché non rispondono alla linea terrestre. Il cibo era molto buono.

When we arrived the barrier was down. We had to do that awkward thing of move the car over as far as you can and then stretch to reach the button to contact staff. Unfortunately the staff member who answered the gate intercom was a little hard to understand and she cut us off rather abruptly with the gate still remaining down. We pressed again and the gate allowed access. We checked in and I advised that I had already paid online via paypal. The staff advised that any payment was not an actual payment rather a hold - I would still need to pay again. If you use paypal you will know it takes several days to show on your account so I could neither prove nor disprove their claims. We got to our room and were pleased to be in an annexe as there was a wedding going on. Nice room size etc kettle, coffee machine, mugs, tea and biscuits. I checked in the bathroom for glasses and there were none available - I would assume that a hotel charging over £100 per night would at least supply plastic cups or proper glasses to drink water from. There was plenty of storage available and a decent hairdryer. The shower was nice - however the glass door was not long enough to prevent significant amounts of water hitting the floor - the bath mat was sodden. The shower tray and grout work as well as an area near the radiator had mould/blackening to it. There was also a random hole in the ceiling - possibly an old leak? The food was great although it took a while to arrive. I did ask for mild peppercorn sauce and no mushrooms - my food arrived with mushrooms and no peppercorn sauce. We left the restaurant believing that the meal would be added to the room - a member of staff followed us out advised that many people may have sat at the table and they needed a room number (this was given when we arrived at the restaurant) and could we pay now?!; perhaps they need a better booking/checking system in place? We then went through to the bar there were several tables which had been left with glasses on them. They were only removed when we sat at one of these tables, the table remained unwiped. The two staff on didn't come over to see if we wanted more drinks and didn't interact with other people who were hovering also intending to purchase drinks. I eventually took my chair and sat in front of the bar waiting for the staff to return from a patrol; neither asked if they could help so I shouted over. I believe this is indicative more of a lack of training in customer service than rudeness. Children from the wedding were becoming a nuisance by this point and were pretty much unchallenged by staff. They were running in and out, up and down stairs taking milk from the fridges and leaving plastic rings on the floor. They made enough noise to be heard on at least the first floor as the fire doors were help open by magnets. In our room we hoped for peace and quiet only to be left disappointed by music echoing over from the wedding - this finished just before midnight. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The gym was lovely and quiet at 8am although the sauna hadn't quite heated up when we headed in there around 8.40ish. Breakfast was mostly tasty - the black pudding lacked any flavour - the scrambled eggs and hash browns were great. The tea was the wrong colour and tasted like very cheap teabags. There were bits of chips on the floor from the food service the night before.
