First visit for us . 20mins wait for drinks.no steak available.potato skin starter was wrong, put back when returned they had only scraped the topping off and added the correct one and clearly reheated in a micro. One main meal didn’t arrive with others. A side of garlic bread came again heated in micro returned it and got replaced nearly after main course was finished. No Red Malbec Wine. No hurry to clear empty classes. Another table had been told that there was no pizza left! Also a table with young family when left there was food on floor and when it was set up for another 4 people the floor had not be swept. Asked to speak to the manager at end of night and he did not come near us! We had gone through to the public bar and the manager was going about there and he still did not approach us. Quality of the food was generally good but the above things I have mentioned let it down big time. Not sure if we will be back

Abbiamo soggiornato in un spazioso duplex di due camere da letto per due giorni nel mese di maggio. La nostra camera e le strutture in loco sono ben attrezzate e mantenute in condizioni senza spazi. Le foreste circostanti sono tranquille e bellissime per camminare. La posizione è a circa 20 minuti a piedi dalla città di Ballator.

At the helm of this team is James Forbes, whose dedication and passion were evident throughout our entire wedding planning process. James was more than a wedding coordinator; he was a confidant, a guide, and a friend. He addressed every one of our concerns with patience and provided invaluable advice that helped us make the right choices. The staff, under James's leadership, was phenomenal. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care for our special day was unmatched. Every little detail, from the placement of decorations to the timing of events, was executed perfectly, making our day flow seamlessly. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding was the best day of our lives. The culinary team outdid themselves with an exquisite menu that catered to a variety of dietary preferences. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as wonderful as it looked. Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted. The accommodation at the Britannia Waterside Hotel was indeed very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and offered stunning views of the waterside. Waking and having breakfast with the view of the river Ugie as a newly married couple was a delightful experience that added to the magic of our wedding. In conclusion, our experience at the Britannia Waterside Hotel was truly extraordinary. We owe a large part of our perfect wedding day to James Forbes and the fantastic staff. We highly recommend the Britannia Waterside Hotel to anyone planning their wedding. It's not just a venue, but a place where dreams are brought to life.

L'ambiente è particolarmente bello, l'igiene è ancora buona, la posizione è buona, il prezzo è ancora molto pratico

Stayed for one night b&b for a wedding. This would have once been a beautiful, luxurious hotel but unfortunately is now quite tired and needing a lick of paint (and the rest!)That being said, our room was comfortable with lovely amenities. Staff in the hotel are really lovely but poor staffing leads to numerous issues. The bar service at the drinks reception was pretty awful, initially no staff were on the bar and when they did start serving there was only 1 member of staff so the queue was backed up out of the room. During the wedding we were not served drinks until well through the meal service and water on the table was not replaced despite numerous requests. At breakfast the queue to get in was over 20 minutes despite numerous empty tables, but the poor staff just didn’t have time to clear them. Breakfast service was really slow but again it was due to a lack of bodies as opposed to the staff’s efforts. That being said, at both the wedding and at breakfast was of very good quality. I provided feed back at time of check out and staff understood my concerns but this hotel is desperately needing some investment. It’s very lucky to have some dedicated, very friendly staff but unfortunately they need double the workforce in addition to a freshen up all the way through!
