Es war sehr ruhig mit einem schönen Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse. Wenn das Riad verlässt muss sich sehr genau den Weg merken….

Consiglio vivamente a tutti i viaggiatori che visitano Marrakech di soggiornare in questo hotel! Si trova a pochi passi dalla maggior parte delle attrazioni e l'ospitalità è stata eccezionale! Il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Anche la colazione era squisita! Per quanto riguarda le recensioni sui bagni ammuffiti, personalmente credo che facciano parte dell'estetica dell'hotel. A parte questo, abbiamo adorato la nostra camera, perché era davvero pulita e accogliente!

Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to be as informative as possible and share the information I would have liked to know before booking. This was my 5th trip to Marrakesh and my first stay at Savoy Le Grand. I was quite nervous booking after reading some negative reviews, but overall I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by Salah (concierge) and the Moroccan tea man in reception. From check-in to check-out (4 days later), all staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke Arabic, French, and English, which made communication very easy. The foyer is beautiful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for—even more beautiful than expected. That said, there is ongoing construction and upgrades, which are not mentioned on the website. This is currently their quiet season, and the main construction is above the reception building, which is being extended upwards. Noise started daily around 9:15am, drilling around 9:38am, and finished around 6:30pm. Estimated completion is 1 May 2026. If you request a room near the second smaller pool, the noise is much less noticeable. The noise is louder and echoes more around the main pool due to the square layout. The hotel has four pools: two outdoor and two indoor. One indoor pool is heated and includes jacuzzi jets. There is also an additional indoor jacuzzi at the spa, charged at MAD 250 per person for one hour. There are three à la carte restaurants on site: Moroccan, International, and Italian. Directly outside the hotel are a supermarket, Paul, Chilli’s, and Papa John’s. Please note that outside food is not allowed inside the hotel. There is an ATM in reception and direct access to Menara Mall, which closes at 10pm. Special thanks to Nabil at reception, who did an excellent job checking us in. He listened carefully to my needs and arranged early check-in to a ground-floor room close to the restaurants, spa, and gym, with a garden and pool view. Soundproofing from the pool area was good, although hallway noise does travel. The grounds are beautiful, but the ground-floor rooms occasionally had a sewage smell, which I’ve also experienced at other Moroccan hotels. We did experience a few issues with our first room (heating not working, leaking fridge, slow-draining sink). Without us needing to complain, Soukayna from guest relations came first thing the next morning and immediately arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite. This level of customer service, care, and attentiveness is exactly what you expect from a 5-star hotel. In the evening there’s live entertainment music in the bar and outside a light & water fountain display. The suite was stunning—very spacious, with a separate living area, two balconies, lots of storage, mini fridge, large sofa, king-size bed, two TVs, kettle, coffee machine, safe, bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had two sinks (standard rooms have one), plenty of toiletries (no washcloths), a large shower with both handheld and waterfall options, and excellent water pressure. There wasn’t much space to hang items, and there is a bidet hose beside the toilet. Thank you to the head cleaning lady for the final touches and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. I’d like to thank all the staff for providing us with a wonderful stay. I love the Moroccan people—they are humble, kind, and always willing to help. Despite the construction, I achieved my goal of relaxation and a short break. This is now my new favourite hotel in Marrakesh, and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family

Era la prima volta che mettevo piede nel continente africano e ho scelto di soggiornare in questo hotel. Si trova proprio di fronte alla stazione di Marrakech, ma l'ambiente è così così. L'hotel è situato nella città nuova di Marrakech. Personalmente, penso che scegliere di alloggiare nella città nuova sia una buona scelta rispetto ai pericoli della città vecchia. Inoltre, tenete presente che gli autobus di Marrakech sono molto inaffidabili; consiglio di prendere un taxi. Una corsa dall'hotel all'aeroporto costa circa 10 euro.

Avevamo comunicato via chat l'orario del nostro arrivo. Tuttavia, non c'era nessuno, ma per fortuna altri ospiti ci hanno aperto la porta. Abbiamo provato a metterci in contatto telefonicamente e via chat e alla fine abbiamo scelto una stanza da soli. La storia ha un finale spiacevole, ma questa esperienza impallidisce rispetto al resto del soggiorno. Il riad è in realtà in un'ottima posizione, il personale è gentile e una signora premurosa prepara una deliziosa colazione al mattino con pane e dolci fatti in casa. Pensiamo quindi che l'esperienza spiacevole sia più che altro una questione di sfortunate circostanze, in parte perché siamo arrivati ​​proprio alla fine del digiuno di quel giorno (Ramadan). Un consiglio per il riad sarebbe quello di acquistare un campanello collegabile al telefono. I servizi sono essenziali, ma buoni. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è eccellente. La posizione dell'hotel è eccellente, in quanto si trova a pochi passi dalla maggior parte delle attrazioni turistiche di Marrakech. Dispone di un'enorme piscina dove è possibile rilassarsi. Tuttavia, il servizio è pessimo. La sera del mio arrivo ho richiesto delle pantofole chiamando la reception, poiché non ce n'erano in camera, ma non sono arrivate. Il giorno successivo le ho richieste di nuovo alla reception e il personale ha promesso di portarmele in camera, ma non è arrivato nulla. Anche il terzo giorno ho fatto la stessa richiesta, come al solito senza successo. Tre diversi addetti alla reception hanno promesso di portarmi le pantofole in camera, ma nessuno ha mantenuto la promessa. Un servizio davvero scadente. Un altro problema dell'hotel è l'aria condizionata, che non funzionava durante il mio soggiorno. Funzionava solo il ventilatore e faceva caldo in camera. Mi sono lamentato alla reception e il personale ha detto che l'aria condizionata era disattivata perché era ancora inverno o primavera. Ho provato ad aprire la finestra e la porta del balcone per far entrare aria fresca, ma purtroppo il rumore della strada era insopportabile, quindi ho dovuto tenerle chiuse. Ho avuto un'esperienza davvero negativa al Novotel Marrakech.
