Situato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla caotica stazione del treno di New Delhi, questo albergo di spone di stanze abbastanza grandi con bagno privato, doccia calda, wifi, asciugamani, aria condizionata o ventilatore e colazione ( chiedete se è inclusa). Il personale parla inglese e potrà cambiarvi denaro, attivarvi una sim locale per internet ( ci vogliono circa 5-6 ore prima che si attivi ) e procurarvi un driver per portarvi in giro a vedere i monumenti ma potete anche arrangiarvi da soli con i tuk tuk. Unica pecca è il materasso davvero fino e quindi un po scomodo ma tutto sommato è ok.

La pulizia è stata per eccellenza. È il contatto personale degli ospiti che rende il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Questo è un posto che non esitaro' mai a raccomandare agli amici che stanno cercando un tempo freddo fuori.

Me and my family spent 3 nights in Eleven, a wonderful and delicate house while we had the oportunity to explore New Delhi. The landlord was super nice, patient and attentive; he provided us options for breakfast, inform us about places to visit around the neighbourhood, and helped us in our stay in his amazing house. The house was very peaceful and beautiful, with a beautiful yard where we had wonderful breakfast to start the day with energy. Rooms were big, comfortables and clean. Furthermore during our stay we had the oportunity to meet other clients that were hosted in the house, so it was a very nice intercultural match. Overall everything was incredible, we felt super conmfortable and the area is super paceful and nice, so it served as a break of the busy city at the end of the day. We will definetely repeat! Questo è stato un grande posto per stare a Delhi. Siamo arrivati qualche giorno prima che iniziasse il nostro tour e abbiamo avuto la possibilità di riposare e acclamare il cambiamento del tempo. Ho avuto un malato (nessuna colpa dell'hotel o dell'India!), e un membro del personale ha chiamato il suo medico personale, che è venuto nella mia stanza per controllarmi. Poi un altro membro del personale mi ha portato la medicina in farmacia. Non riuscivo a credere quanto fossero gentili. Anche la sicurezza *** alla porta mi ha chiesto come facevo. Mi sorprendeva. Non posso dire quanto apprezzo il loro cura. Inoltre, il cibo era eccellente, le camere erano molto pulite, e tutti i nostri bisogni erano stati curati. Che grande introduzione all'India. Grazie al personale del colonnello Retreat!

The bed and breakfast is in a very safe and welcentered area. The rooms are well equipped, good beds, very nice shower, everthing you need. There is a splendid rooftop and downstairs another nice garden to chill. But above all that, Lubna and Pervez, the hosts, are so kind! They made us wonderful breakfast, we had nice conversations about India, about travelling, about life. This is staying with local people, so much nicer than an anonymous large hotel. When I am in Delhi, I would definitly stay here again!

Firstly, let me clarify that there are two locations associated with Colonel’s Retreat. We initially booked at Colonel’s Retreat 2, but it seems that Uber and Google Maps primarily recognize the original Colonel’s Retreat (1) located at D418. Unfortunately, we weren’t aware that these two places were over a mile apart when we booked an Uber from the airport. Upon reaching the original D418 location, we were redirected to the D264 address. Colonel’s Retreat 2 is nestled in Defence Colony, an affluent neighborhood in New Delhi. It’s important to note that this establishment operates as a homestay, lacking typical hotel amenities. The accommodations are basic, offering essential facilities. However, the pricing doesn’t quite align with our expectations given the simplicity. On the bright side, the rooms include breakfast and dinner (available for an additional charge). The staff members are friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. Breakfast is served in the adjacent cafe area, where you’ll find delightful treats like banana bread and excellent tea. Naveen, the facility manager, goes above and beyond to assist with local travel arrangements, taxis, and any other needs you might have. In summary, Colonel’s Retreat 2 provides a cozy nook in Defence Colony, offering a unique experience for your stay in Delhi. While it lacks frills, the warm hospitality and tasty banana bread make up for it! 🍌
