Am greatly enjoying my stay in Costa Rica and here in lovely La Garita at the Martino Hotel. The hotel itself is quite special -- guests stay in separate tile-roofed buildings spread across the lush, green grounds. I imagine that the views from each room must be quite unique and special. It was so enjoyable sitting and reading on the deck outside my room watching the nearby bamboo forest sway in the gentle wind while listening to the fascinating calls of many species of birds perched in the many species of trees. Extra 5 stars and muchas gracias to the very helpful and friendly staff whose efficiency really impressed me (the hotel was hosting a conference when I stayed there in event space not far from my room, so I could witness first hand how hard the hotel team was working).

The property is convenient to the airport and the rooms are decent and the breakfast is adequate. Overall, the staff there also seemed to be nice. We only stayed one night while transiting through SJO. Normally, I would have given them 4 stars but the primary reason I”m giving them 1 star is because their billing and management department seems to be atrocious. After, we checked out, we were supposed to receive our invoice by email but did not receive it. The elite nights and points for the stay also did not get posted despite the reservation being done directly through the marriott website. Multiple attempts to contact them and ask them for the invoice have failed. I have opened up a support request with Marriott helpdesk (i'm a Titanium elite) and they have been working for a week to get a simple invoice to be sent properly. It seems their billing and management is handled by someone from the adjacent courtyard and that person/team is totally incompetent.

Tabacon was the highlight of our Costa Rica trip. The hot springs were gorgeous, the landscaping presine, the staff incredibly well-trained, and the rooms spotless. Where else can you sit in a pristine 100 degree waterfall? We ended up changing our busy itinerary and spent about 3x more time at Tabacon that we planned. We joke that when we go back we'll just spend the whole week at Tabacon. Breakfast was great although it was quite busy in the morning and there was a line for their made-to-order omelets. Other than that it was a perfect stay at Tabacon.

Ecco le mie suggerimenti: Migliorare la ventilazione nelle camere da letto: - Ci sono le mucche e i funghi che crescono sulle pareti della camera da letto - prova che non c'è ventilazione, - Rimuovere il tubo caldo/jacuzzi nelle camere da letto - dubito che la gente la userà, dato che le fonti calde Nel parco, tuttavia, sono una fonte di umidità supplementare e si occupano di un sacco di spazio. - Aria le camere in modo che non odori e si sente come una grotta. Per facilitare questo, installare reti rigide sulle finestre di vetro, permettere l'aria esterna e tenere fuori i bug e gli insetti. Ho visto questo in molti altri hotel. Migliorare la luce nelle camere da letto - le camere sono molto luminose. Offerta di servizio più affidabile - ho chiesto una chiamata di 6am di sveglio ma la ricezione mi ha chiamato a 6.23 am. Il cibo è costoso per ciò che è. non offrono oggetti che non dovrebbero essere serviti in una zona montana, come la zuppa di alimenti per il mare dei Caraibi, che consisteva di alimenti per il mare congelati e era troppo costoso.

From the time that we arrived, we were impressed. The coffee is strong and flavorful. We arrived to a welcome basket on our bed and in our fridge for our anniversary celebration! The view of Arenal was amazing— from our bed! (suite 215) The included breakfast is phenomenal— so much to choose from. My fave is the made-to-order omelet station! We did not have Lunch on property because we were out exploring Arenal/La Fortuna region. We did have pizza at the poolside wood-fired pizza oven bar. They made a custom pizza with chicken, basil, olive oil, and tomatoes. That was the bomb! 💣 Service is spot on. The grounds are kept in immaculate condition— Gardening is exceptionally beautiful everywhere you look! October is the perfect time in my opinion to visit if you want low crowds – – we had the thermal pools (7-8 pools) mostly to ourselves. We visited eight properties while in Costa Rica and this one was our absolute favorite! Hands down— pun may be intended. 😉

The Royal Corin was one of the best resorts we have stayed at. From the start, they were very communicative via email to confirm the reservation and make arrangements. Within a day of arrival, everyone knew our names and treated us like family. We made mention of celebrating a birthday, and the staff went over the top with making the week special. The resort was beautiful, hot springs were relaxing, and it was a very intimate feel. The breakfast was exceptional. The spa services were excellent, and location wise, everything in town was very close. We took advantage of the tours and private transportation, and it was effortless. We would recommend to everyone!

This is a magical resort with amazing staff. We were welcomed with open arms and Diego made the check in super easy. Once we got to the room there was the coolest surprise waiting since it was my 50th birthday! The treehouse was literally like living alone in the jungle but with all the facilities you could want near by. Every morning we saw green cheeked parakeets from our window, toucans and lots of other endemic birds. The staff set up all of the tours we wanted to do including transportation. And when we had to be picked up early they always accommodated us for a huge breakfast! Jimmy was one of our new buddies as he helped with breakfast in the morning and also took us on a night tour where we saw a kinkajou, spectacle owl, and lots of frogs . He was super knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and it was an amazing tour. For dinner, the food was out of this world!!! If I could rate it a 10 I would!! A huge thank you to the entire staff . Hopefully we will be back one day!

Deve dire che il prezzo della camera ordinaria è molto alto. Si trova su tutta la montagna vicino ai vulcani e ai laghi vulcanici. Il personale della ricetta è molto entusiasta e paziente. Il paesaggio della piscina senza lato è anche vicino all'innocente 11. Quando vivevamo il numero 16, amavo il suo balcone e mi sono seduto li' sul lungomare per qualche giorno di vita isolata dal mondo, ma consiglio agli amici con un ambiente di vita più alto di scegliere una suite delicata dell'hotel. Il bagno ordinario era un po'difficile senza frigo e ventola. La colazione è ordinata 1, non è troppo scelta. Il frutto ha un piccolo pezzo di salsa, un piccolo pezzo di salsa e un piccolo pezzo di legno. Il primo giorno ci serve un altro frutto, ma il giorno dopo ci pagano due coltelli.Poiché c'è circa un chilometro di strada nel ristorante sotto la montagna, abbiamo ancora usato il pranzo nel ristorante, e il gusto è buono.

We were greeted by a lovely young woman wearing big glasses and a bigger smile. She checked us in, greeted me as an honors member, explained the amenities and discounts and even called me an hour later in my room to see what else she could do. She helped me login to the wifi and order her recommendations from room service. Just the most amazing service I’ve seen in a long time.

The place is nice and clean. But, expect to pay outrageous prices here. Even during the low season. For nothing special either. The TVs in the rooms are outdated. The rooms themselves are standard at best. We live by Miami, Florida, and price points here are exceptionally high, even for Miami standards. $$$$$ One of us needed some cough medicine in the middle of the night. Awesome that their tiny store downstairs had some. Not awesome that they charge $35 for a bottle of it. Price gouging at its best. Never would I think I’d see this in a country I’ve fallen in love with.
