*Review: One-Night Stay at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata* I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its location and general ambiance, but there are also a few aspects that could use improvement. To begin with the positives, the hotel is situated in a very convenient and well-connected area. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay. The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations. One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling. However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. It might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, but for those who enjoy exploring a hotel’s culinary offerings, this can be a sore point. The check-in and check-out processes were efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and helpful. There was a general air of professionalism throughout the hotel staff, which contributed positively to the experience. In conclusion, Kenilworth Hotel offers a reliable and comfortable stay with the added benefit of a good location and useful amenities like the gym. However, the lackluster food options—especially in the set dinner menu—stand out as an area that needs improvement. With a little more attention to dining and guest preferences, the hotel could elevate its overall appeal. For now, I would consider it a decent option for short stays, especially if dining isn’t your top priority.

I stayed at this hotel with my friends and booked a separate room for myself. The hotel kindly arranged a room for me on the sixth floor with an amazing view of the city of Kolkata. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and polite, especially the gentleman with glasses at the check-in counter, who always fulfilled my requests and addressed any complaints promptly. They even allowed us a late check-out because our flight was delayed, which I truly appreciated. My room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The amenities provided were of high quality. The housekeeping staff were polite and clearly took pride in their work. The security staff at the main entrance were also very courteous and always ready to help — whether it was providing small change for delivery drivers or Uber payments. Special thanks to Raghunath, one of the security team, who helped us load over 60 kilograms of luggage into our Uber when we were heading to the airport. Overall, my experience was exceptional. The kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness of the staff truly stood out. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and colleagues visiting Kolkata.

Hospitality was excellent. All the staff were very courteous, which is really commendable as now a days hotel staff are usually found to be inefficient.

Located at a very busy area, where the bustling streets are lined with clothing vendors. Was upgraded to a huge 2 room suite. However, it was next to the meeting rooms where there were a dozen seated students awaiting their interviews for all the 4 days I was there. Getting to my room meant having to walk past a row of seated students.  Although the room was clean, the shower cubicle was not. The edges were filled with black mold.  The staff were helpful and friendly.  Overall, I did enjoy my stay.

Abbiamo prenotato una notte qui all'Holiday Inn Kolkata. Ho soggiornato anche all'Holiday Inn Chennai. Tuttavia, gli standard di pulizia e comfort, così come la camera, i sanitari e il pavimento, erano bassi e alcune aree sembravano non igienizzate. Anche il pavimento della camera era scarsamente pulito. C'era anche un lenzuolo strappato sul nostro letto, che ho chiesto loro di rimuovere e lo hanno cambiato molto rapidamente e diligentemente. Tuttavia, sono rimasto deluso perché il personale addetto alle finiture controlla che la camera sia in buone condizioni per l'ospite successivo e che necessiti di miglioramenti. Le pareti erano poco lucide. E abbiamo pagato circa 62 euro. Forse dovrebbero controllare gli standard di altri Holiday Inn come a Chennai. Il cibo che abbiamo ordinato era buono. 10/10 per questo. Ma in qualche modo il marchio Holiday Inn e quello che abbiamo sperimentato a Calcutta erano completamente diversi. Spero che prendano in considerazione tutto questo.

Come musicista di tour, ho soggiornato in hotel di grande scala in tutto il mondo, e questo potrebbe essere il mio preferito NONCHE. Molto comodo, camere tranquille. La struttura è bella e benvenuta all'interno e all'esterno con un design aperto, moderno. Mi è piaciuto molto la piscina/spa/scuola di ginnastica - con una vista eccellente, questo è un grande luogo per iniziare la mattina! Il ristorante e il bar adatto sono molto bello. La cosa più importante è che ogni persona che lavora qui, sia il personale del desk front, la sicurezza o l'agenzia ***, è EXCEPTO. Sono fieri del loro hotel e vogliono davvero che tu goda il tuo soggiorno. L'hotel è anche in un bel quartiere. Spero sinceramente di tornare!

Situato nel centro. Tutti i tipi di negozio disponibile vicino. Stavano quasi tre giorni. Ambiente molto domestico. Miglior fornitura ricevuta da sabbia. Camere sono pulite e igienico. Colazione è stata buona. Servizio in camera è stata buona anche. Cucina è stata lì. Se qualcuno vuole cucinare qualcosa, allora può cucinare. La parte migliore è l'ospitalità e il sostegno al livello successivo ricevuto da divya malik.

I have just spend some time at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Kolkata and what a good surprise. The hotel team is taking a good care of the place and makes you feel very comfortable. The restaurant is something, food is super tasty and I have enjoyed very much all I have ate. I will definitely come back. Big thank to sandip Ghosn that brings me my room service, Nikhil mondal who takes care of my room everyday, Bhabna from the restaurant but as well the people I didn’t name, from the kitchen to restaurant staff and the lobby, that are all part of the great job. Thanks a lot for your attention and your service. 🙏🏻

Ciao, ho avuto una bella permanenza all'Airport City Hotel, Kolkata. L'atmosfera era grande, il letto era comodo, e la camera era pulita, con un bagno eccezionalmente senza spazi. Il personale era cortese e attento, assicurando che tutte le nostre richieste fossero soddisfatte immediatamente. Il cibo era delizioso anche. In generale, una grande esperienza! Lo apprezzerei 5/5. Grazie per l'ospitalità.

Il personale dell'hotel è stato molto gentile e ha fornito un servizio eccellente. Stavo pensando di rimanere in un altro hotel il giorno dopo, e poiché non potevo parlare bene l’inglese, li ho chiesti di chiamarmi, e si sono messi d’accordo a aiutare. Erano molto utili e pensanti. Il colazione era anche molto delizioso.
