Hotel a 4 stelle in Gansu, Cina

Sulla mappa di Baidu, la distanza dalla stazione ferroviaria di Zhangye all'hotel è di circa 3 km, ma quando ho effettivamente orientato il percorso con i bagagli in mano, mi sono reso conto che era molto più lungo di quanto mi aspettassi, perché la strada e il traffico di Zhnagye sono piuttosto caotici. Molti semafori non sono nemmeno in funzione e ci sono parecchi incroci a T (credo 3) che i pedoni devono attraversare tramite il sottopassaggio. Le auto non rispettano esattamente i semafori, quindi fate attenzione e prudenza. Per quanto riguarda l'hotel in sé, è sicuramente uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto, tra i miei 3 soggiorni in hotel durante il viaggio. Secondo la receptionist mi è stato offerto un upgrade della camera, quindi grazie! C'erano anche un sacco di dolcetti gratuiti ogni volta che la lasciavo, quindi grazie ancora! Adoro soprattutto lo yogurt ai datteri rossi, assolutamente da provare (anche se era scaduto 2-3 giorni prima). Sono persino andato al supermercato per comprarne altro! Per quanto riguarda i comfort, l'aria condizionata funziona ma non si può regolare. Ho provato a impostare la temperatura a 5 gradi Celsius (impostazione minima) e 30 gradi Celsius (impostazione massima), ma entrambe non funzionano. Sembra che sia fissata sulla temperatura ambiente +/- qualche grado in base alla temperatura esterna. Un giorno mi sono scottata e volevo rinfrescarmi, ma a causa del modo in cui è stata determinata la temperatura, non ho altra scelta che sudare. A parte questo, l'acqua del rubinetto aveva residui molto visibili che si capivano subito che non era limpida, quindi consiglio vivamente di non usarla per bere acqua, bollita o meno. L'ultimo giorno, volevo provare la vasca da bagno, ma quando ho aperto il rubinetto, ho avuto uno shock. L'acqua che usciva era marrone, quindi ho annullato il mio piano iniziale di usarla per rilassarmi 😕. C'è anche un umidificatore in dotazione e ne sono molto grata, tuttavia l'acqua è finita il secondo giorno e non riesco a riempirlo correttamente. Anche il water è un water intelligente, ma non me ne sono accorta dopo averlo ispezionato più attentamente mentre cercavo di capire come tirare lo sciacquone. Infine, non vedevo l'ora di vedere il soffitto stellato, ma è un po' triste che non si possa accenderlo da solo senza che anche le altre luci siano accese. Il che, onestamente, vanifica lo scopo di avere un soffitto stellato.

Il contatto con l'hotel è stato molto gentile e l'arredamento era semplicemente di prima classe, mi sono sentito come a casa nonostante ci abbia trascorso solo quattro notti... The taxi dropped me at the building but the ground floor is a restaurant, with no clear hotel entrance. I messaged the hotel on WeChat asking for directions. They replied that someone would come out to meet me. I waited fifteen minutes with no one arriving and no further response, despite repeated follow-up messages, before they finally sent written directions, which is what I had asked for in the first place. The room did not match the listing photos. It was significantly smaller than advertised, with barely enough space to open a suitcase. The window did not close completely, letting in constant street noise from buses and traffic. The walls are extremely thin. Neighbor noise and door slamming were audible at all hours, and passing buses caused the room to vibrate. I had requested a quiet room. Front desk communication was inconsistent. Staff do not speak English, which WeChat is meant to bridge. When a food delivery was not loaded into the delivery robot, I messaged the front desk and waited fifteen minutes with no action. I went down and found the food sitting behind the reception counter while two staff members chatted nearby. Sustainability is not a consideration.
