Zhangye West Railway Station
On baidu map, it says that from Zhangye railway station to the hotel is about 3 km but when actually navigating my way over while carrying a luggage, it was so much further than I'd expect because Zhnagye's road and traffic are quite chaotic. Many traffic lights aren't even in operation and there are quite a few (3 I think) t+junctions that pedestrian have to cross via the underpass. The cars doesn't quite obey the traffic lights, so be careful and cautious. For the hotel itself, it's definitely one of my favorite overall, out of my 3 hotel stays during my trip. According to the receptionist I was offered a room upgrade, so thank you! There were also lots of free treats evertime I cleared it, so thank you again! Love especially the red dates yogurt, it's definitely a must try (although they were 2-3days after expiry). I even went out to the grocery to get more! Regarding the amenities, the air conditioner works but can't be controlled. Tried setting temp to 5 degree Celsius (lowest settings) and 30 degree celcius (highest setting), both doesn't work. It seems like it is fixed to room temp +/- a few degrees based on the temp outdoor. One of the day I had sunburn and wanted to cool off but due to how the temp was determined, I have no choice but to sweat it out. Other than that, the tap water here had very visible residue that you can tell that it isn't clear, so I really recommend not using it for drinking water boiled or not. Aon my last day, I wanted to try the bathtub but when I turned on the tap, I had a shock. The water that came out was brown, so I cancelled my initial plan of using it for relaxation 😕. There is also a humidifier provided and I am super grateful for that, however the water ran out on the 2nd day and I can't seem to fill it up correctly. The toilet bowl is also a smart toilet bowl, but I didn't realized it after closer inspection while trying to find how to flush. Lastly, I was so looking forward to the stars celling but it's kinda sad that you can't turn it on on its own without having the other lights turned on as well. Which honestly defeats the purpose of having a star gazing celling.

Visited Dunhuang on several occasions before but Bowen Hotel is the best considering its rating and price. It's a 4 star and only 150 CNY per night. For this you get a well appointed comfortable room with a view of the river. The rooms are well set out with plenty of space, power points and light switches where they are needed, and a stable reliable and secure wifi signal. The Hotel is situated about 300m east of Dunhuang museum. So, still within walking distance of night market main street, bars, memory box cafe, bus no.3 to Mingsha etc The bathroom is good quality with a glass enclosure for the shower unit, which has lots of space. The hot water system is responsive and strong, over 24 hours (-10°C outside). Good quality towels and a floor mat are provided and replaced each day by the effecient room service staff.who keep rooms spotlessly clean. The queen sized bed is super comfortable- not too soft or too hard. The double boutique room also has a coffee table, sofa and matching foot rest. I especially appreciated the gym on floor 7. Limited but useful equipment (treadmill, weights). Another useful feature is a laundry service - also on floor 7. I was fortunate enough to interact with the hotel manager, (who communicates in English very well) and she arranged a taxi late at night to Liuyuan. Overall a pleasant hotel experience in a great oasis town. Will definitely stay again and recommend.

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti al Runhu Hotel mentre visitavamo tutte le attrazioni turistiche nei dintorni di Zhangye, tra cui gite al deserto del Gobi, Ping Shan Hu (Grand Canyon), la valle di Alien e altri siti. L'hotel, pulito, spazioso e tranquillo, ha dipendenti motivati ​​che sono felici di soddisfare qualsiasi richiesta. Il ristorante è davvero molto buono con prezzi ragionevoli, anche la colazione a buffet era varia e di ottima qualità. L'hotel offre anche servizi come la consegna serale di latte caldo e una vasca per pediluvio con sali di Epsom senza costi aggiuntivi. L'hotel ci ha anche consigliato un autista con la sua auto molto bella e ben tenuta. Lui, il signor Li, è andato ben oltre le aspettative. Ha fornito snack, frutta, acqua e una specie di bibita analcolica locale e ha organizzato i biglietti in anticipo dove era richiesta la prenotazione e si è assicurato di adattare tali prenotazioni quando il maltempo ha chiuso uno dei siti. Anche i suoi consigli sul cibo locale nei vari siti o nelle vicinanze erano azzeccati. Mentre i posti erano semplici (e molto economici), il cibo era onesto e buono. Puoi contare sul signor Li per assicurarti che tutto vada liscio. Tutto quello che devi fare è dirgli cosa vuoi vedere, o chiedergli consigli, e lui farà il resto. In breve, splendido hotel per il prezzo con un servizio fantastico e se hai bisogno di un autista, il signor Li è il tuo uomo!

We got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly. Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also. Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area. The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out. I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator.

Questa bella boutique è stata il nostro piccolo cielo e rifugio per noi durante il viaggio attraverso la Cina, e ciò che ha reso il nostro soggiorno eccellente è stato il bellissimo benvenuto e l'invalutabile aiuto che abbiamo ricevuto da Suzy, il nostro ospite inglese e uno dei supervisori. Il suo inglese è sorprendente e ha risolto tutti i nostri problemi e soddisfatto tutti i nostri desideri. Rariamente ha avuto un ottimo sostegno, ha fatto il nostro soggiorno a Lanzhou uno che ricorderemo 🙏 Oltre a questo, l'hotel è di nuovo, bellissimo design (amo l'odore nel lobby!!) e aveva davvero tutto quello che ci serviva (anche una stupenda stanza di lavanderia!!). Ci siamo fermati molto più a lungo di quanto intendevamo. Grazie mille. Saluti dei “Italiani” ;-))

Ho apprezzato il soggiorno in questo hotel Holiday Inn. Il personale è super supporto che equivale al loro servizio eccezionale. L'hotel è vicino alla stazione di metropolitana, autobus e taxi. E 'molto pulito e ha una bella vista sul sole. Questo Holiday Inn nel cuore di Lanzhou City è molto consigliato!!

Best hotel experience in my trip in China! The staff are extremely friendly and do their best to meet the needs of the guests. The rooms are clean and tidy. As a non-smoker, I would suggest installing air fresheners in the rooms to neutralize the smell of cigarettes. I will definitely return to this hotel again when I have the chance. I sincerely recommend it.

First of all, the hotel accepts foreigners (as of June 2024). The room was large, with all the necessary amenities in good condition. The location is very good, with a bus stop and restaurants nearby. Also, note that you can leave your bags at the reception before check-in and after check out. Overall, a good option when visiting Jiayuguan.

L'hotel è in stile castello ed è molto grandioso. È molto vicino alla Shaming Mountain ed è raggiungibile a piedi. È pulito e igienico. Hanno anche dato un piccolo regalo (2 piccoli cammelli). Ai bambini è piaciuto molto il servizio dell'hotel molto e sono stati molto premurosi e ci hanno fornito tre paia di pantofole. La stanza è pulita e non ha odori. L'ho chiesto appositamente. Grazie al direttore Yuan. Abbiamo lasciato gli occhiali nella stanza quando siamo partiti. Il direttore Yuan è stato molto paziente nell'aiutarci a trovarli e a spedirli. Era molto accogliente. L'unico inconveniente è che è difficile prenotare l'hotel durante l'alta stagione. Dovresti prenotare in anticipo. L'hotel dispone anche di un bus navetta per il mercato notturno di Dunhuang. L'ambiente della colazione è oltre l'immaginazione
