This hotel provided great service and clean accommodations. I love that hotels in Japan provide pajamas and toothbrushes. This hotel had two public baths. It's nice that they have one bath where the water is not as hot. We had the dinner buffet. It included American and chinese offerings. You receive a ticket for one serving of the Hida beef. I thought the food was good. I like that the portions are small, so you can try a lot of things. We also had the breakfast buffet which included Takayama specialty items too. There is a large souvenir shop in the hotel, so you are able to pick up gifts. I thought the prices are comparable to other gift shops. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the train station. It is a 7 minute walk to the train station, so it's not so bad. They only have two shuttles that go to Takayama Jinya (government house) which is across the bridge from Sanmachi Suji. Otherwise it's at least a 20-25 minute walk. I wish they had more shuttles to that area. There is not much to look at on the way from the hotel to Sanmachi. As Takayama becomes more popular with tourists, most of the hotel staff and store owners are able to communicate in English. Overall, I enjoyed my time at the hotel and would stay there again.

I cannot recommend this ryokan enough!! We stayed for two nights end of March/start of April. The staff were so friendly and patient, taking time to explain aspects of the hotel, onsen, and how to wear the traditional clothes. They made the evening meal and breakfast so accessible to foreigners by explaining each element, and a menu in English also helped! The new ladies onsen nextdoor allows you try different onsen locations, and I would really recommend a massage! I lucked out by going over at 3pm and had the onsen to myself! You will leave feeling so relaxed and well taken care of! We luckily had a room with river views which was stunning and a balcony to enjoy a cup of tea from and watch the people below. What an amazing way to unwind from the travel and rushing around the big city. The walks around the town are easy to get to from this hotel, and their shuttle service to and from the station is so helpful, and the drivers are so friendly!! We absolutely loved our stay, and it has rejuvenated us for our onward travel. Thank you so much to all the staff!

Lo uso perché è vicino alla montagna di Jinhua, che è lo scopo del viaggio.Dalla finestra della stanza è facile vedere il fiume Changhai, la montagna di Jinhua e la città di Zhuang, rendendo l'atmosfera del viaggio più attiva. Sono felice di scegliere il lato del fiume, perché il prezzo è leggermente diverso. Non solo il paesaggio, ma anche la dimensione della stanza, la comodità del letto, la comodità del divano, il bagno è grande, la dimensione del lavabo può permettere a due persone di usare insieme, quindi posso passare un tempo molto comodo. Da quando sono rimasto nella zona commerciale per un po', la differenza è ovvia, che è davvero un marchio ”città”.Poiché sono in ritardo, ho chiesto alla reception di controllare il ristorante di cena e entrare facilmente nel ristorante quando mi sono fermato. Mi piace un buffet a metà punto in centro Italia, e tutti i gusti sono deliziosi.Il buffet include il giapponese e il vest. Poiché l'ho usato per il tempo più occupato nel mezzo di tre vacanze consecutive, è diventato un posto vicino al salotto, ma quando ho colpito, sono stato lontano dalla tenda del cantina, guardando il giardino sul divano spazioso e mangiando colazione. Sono felice di rilassarmi e godermi il caffè.Se hai la possibilità di rimanere in un bagno, voglio usarlo.

Io e mia moglie, siamo stati qui a maggio 2023. Era una delle nostre tappe del Giappone per il nostro viaggio di nozze. Devo dire che siamo stati davvero impressionati dalla cura e dalla passione che ha tutto il personale di quest'hotel. Hanno aspettato il nostro arrivo in strada per prenderci le valigie, mai vista una cosa simile. L'hotel è pulitissimo e bellissimo, l'esperienza ryokan è stata stupenda, dal dormire per terra (comodissimo) al vestire con il kymono, girando le vie del paese. Le terme, sono piccole e caratteristiche, ma molto curate.. rispecchiano fedelmente la cultura giapponese. Di questo hotel ci siamo innamorati... complimenti davvero!! Un grande ringraziamento va soprattutto a YUZUKA (spero tu lo legga), ci hai trattato con grande amore, nonostante le difficoltà che entrambi abbiamo nel parlare inglese... addirittura ci hai aspettato in stazione per salutarci, nonostante fosse il tuo giorno libero.. un grazie di cuore, un forte abbraccio ＜3

Yatsusankan is a traditional ryokan, well established in Hida. It’s located among narrow streets with picturesque Japanese style wooden buildings. Within walking distance of the JR station (they have a shuttle too) and shops. Our room was spacious and comfortable with its own bath. AC in the bedroom. Good wifi. Very clean and well stocked with toiletries, tea, coffee, and cold drinks. Meals are at set times and we enjoyed omikase and shabu shabu during our two night stay. We chose Japanese breakfast which was also delicious, although western style is also available. There’s a very nice communal bath, indoor and outdoor. One for men and one for women. The building has a long history so it’s worth looking around if you have time. Service is warm and attentive with guests being made to feel right at home. If you’re planning a visit to Hida or the area, then Yatsusankan would be a great choice to experience traditional ryokan with great service and a bit of history.
