Overall, this was a good stay with some truly special aspects, but also a few areas that could be improved. The hotel is quite remote, which makes it feel very private and peaceful, surrounded by nature such as the lake, forest, and mountains. Even though we visited other viewpoints around Qiandao Lake, this location felt more special because of its quiet and secluded setting. The hotel itself feels like a destination, with scenic viewpoints, a garden with a lake, a cave, and even trekking trails to explore. The garden area includes a swan lake, which is a nice idea. However, the swans are kept in a very small netted space. It does not look great visually and feels restrictive for the animals, which took away from the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed that was not too soft or too hard. Sound insulation was excellent, which made for great sleep. I also requested a firmer pillow, and it was provided quickly. The lake view room upgrade was a highlight. The view was stunning and made it hard to leave the room. If you stay here, I would strongly recommend booking a lake view room. The layout was nice, with both a balcony and a window view. The thick frame dividing the view slightly affected the overall feel, but it was not a major issue. The bathtub was also a nice addition. Cleaning was good overall. The AC did not work very well during the hot midday hours, although it was fine at other times of the day. Facilities such as the gym, yoga room, pool, and game room were nice additions. However, they felt quite standard for a five-star hotel, and I have experienced better quality in similar properties. One great feature was the free Tesla charging, but this was not communicated at all. We only discovered it by chance, which is a missed opportunity as it is a strong benefit. Breakfast was acceptable but not at the expected level. The coffee and bakery were the weakest parts. Ordering is done via QR code instead of in person, which felt a bit impersonal for a luxury hotel atmosphere. Service during breakfast also felt a bit off, as staff seemed focused on their tasks and were not very proactive in guiding or prioritizing guests, which made the experience feel less warm and not the kindest. Service was generally kind and friendly, but inconsistent at times. Some staff could benefit from additional training, as not everyone followed typical five-star service standards such as greeting guests or offering priority. Another disappointment was the welcome fruit, which was included in our package but not provided on arrival. After we asked, a staff member came carrying items for multiple rooms in a bag and handed us just one apple and one peach. This felt unprofessional although something very small. Another point worth noting is that the hotel was originally booked as an InterContinental, but about 1-2 weeks before arrival it was no longer part of the brand (somehow on Trip.com it still says intercontinental). Not sure if this impacted the experience, but overall it did feel slightly below what you might expect from that level, even though the stay itself was still enjoyable. The hotel also offers free Tesla charging, which is a great feature. However, this was not communicated at all during or before our stay, and we only discovered it by chance. This feels like a missed opportunity, as it is a strong benefit that could add significant value for guests I did not try lunch or dinner, so I cannot comment on those. Overall, this is a very peaceful and unique stay with amazing natural surroundings and a beautiful lake view. However, some service and operational details need improvement to truly match a luxury standard.

Chinese traditional style hotel room is quite cozy. Complementary service like taking a picture by photographer is to be made a reservation when check in, otherwise fully booked in case of weekend.

Il soggiorno a Banyan Tree Hangzhou si sente meno come un hotel urbano e più come la scomparsa in un villaggio privato d'acqua. Il resort si trova all'interno della fama riserva naturale Xixi Wetlands, circondata da canali, bambù, giardini, ponti e misty greeneryyet’s still’s relatively close to central Hangzhou and West Lake. L'architettura si basa sul tradizionale stile acqua-città Jiangnan: pareti lavate bianche, legno scuro, tetti involucri, schermi tagliati, cortile e sentieri di pietra. E' particolarmente bello in tempesta mattina o dopo la pioggia, quando le terre umide si sentono cinematiche. Le camere sono insolite e anche le categorie di accesso sono grandi suite, mentre le villa aggiungeno zone di soffitto all'aperto, giardini privati o piscina a seconda della categoria. L'elogio dell'industria della seta merita un breve saggio 1️⃣ Alloggio e servizi Naturalmente non c'è niente da dire sulla qualità dell'alloggio e degli altri servizi. Qualcuno dell'hotel chiamerà per confermare intorno alle 7 della sera prima del check-in. Verrà quindi assegnato uno steward e tutte le domande sugli steward riceveranno una risposta tempestiva nel gruppo. Il maggiordomo aveva già aspettato al centro visitatori prima di arrivare e si è avviato al trotto per condurre il veicolo al parcheggio VIP per organizzare il parcheggio. A causa del periodo del Festival di Primavera. Se ci sono troppi turisti, non organizzeremo il check-in in barca, ma arriveremo invece con l'autobus turistico. Stayed at Splendid Clubhouse for 2 nights, and it was truly one of the highlights of my trip to China. I highly recommend slowing down and fully enjoying the serene, scenic surroundings this property offers—it’s an experience in itself. From the moment I booked, the service was exceptional. My personal butler, Xiao Shen, reached out a day before my arrival to coordinate everything, including arranging for a seamless pick-up at the Scenic Area. Throughout my stay, Xiao Shen was attentive and thoughtful, ensuring every detail was taken care of—from daily arrangements to recommending great dining options. Do make it a point to dine within the hotel, especially at Jin An Si Fang Cai (锦岸私房菜)—the food was outstanding. I was also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, and the view from my room was simply breathtaking, overlooking beautiful spring blooms. Breakfast was another standout experience. It was incredibly delicious and thoughtfully curated, with multiple courses that were so satisfying I could easily skip lunch. Guests select their breakfast in advance, and everything is promptly served upon arrival at the restaurant, making the experience both seamless and indulgent. Overall, the impeccable service, stunning views, and attention to detail made this an unforgettable stay. I would highly recommend Splendid Clubhouse to anyone looking for a peaceful and elevated retreat.

It's a hotel for all kinds of people: couples, businesspeople, families, etc. The hotel is amazing. The staff was very polite but for a 5 Diamonds hotel,no one speaks English. However, everything was clean. The hot springs open from 14:00 to 22:00. Breakfast from 6:00 to 10:00. Dinner closes at 20:00 which is a little early for foreigners. But it is a big buffet so there will be always something delicious to eat.

Servizi e Cibo: I servizi in camera sono essenziali, ma più che sufficienti per un soggiorno semplice e confortevole. La colazione inclusa è stata una piacevole sorpresa: un'ampia varietà di deliziose specialità locali. 3. Posizione: Fantastica. Si trova proprio nel cuore dell'Area Panoramica Occidentale (Xi Zha), il che la rende la base perfetta per esplorare la zona. Il vantaggio principale di soggiornare all'interno dell'area panoramica è la tranquillità assoluta delle ore notturne e delle prime ore del mattino, ideale per scattare foto senza folla. 4. Servizio: Assolutamente eccezionale, si riceve un vero trattamento VIP. L'hotel ci ha contattato prima del nostro arrivo per fornirci informazioni e creare una chat di gruppo per rimanere in contatto. Il nostro addetto alle pulizie, Xiao Chen, ci ha accolti direttamente al punto di arrivo dell'auto e ci ha accompagnati fino all'hotel.
