Portogallo: hotel con servizio colazione nella provincia di Distretto di Porto

La posizione era buona. TUTTAVIA, Durante il mio soggiorno si è verificato un incidente e ho ritenuto che la gestione degli incidenti e il processo di ripristino del servizio fossero pessimi. Un tubo nella mia stanza è scoppiato verso le 22:00 e alcuni dei miei vestiti e la mia borsa da viaggio nuova di zecca si sono sporcati. Sono andato alla reception per spiegare immediatamente la situazione. Il personale non poteva spostarmi in una nuova stanza perché era al completo. Mi è stato detto che avrei dovuto aspettare fino al giorno successivo, quando il direttore si sarebbe presentato al lavoro, per parlare della questione. Mi hanno offerto una colazione gratuita, che ho rifiutato perché non ero interessato. Non hanno offerto alcun servizio di lavanderia per i miei vestiti e la mia borsa interessati e avrei dovuto lavarli da solo? Il giorno dopo verso le 16:30, sono andato al bancone della reception per parlare con il direttore e mi è stato detto di aspettare un po' (non so cosa?). Ho aspettato circa 10 minuti e ho chiesto cosa stessi aspettando, e mi è stato detto di aspettare ancora e che lei avrebbe parlato con noi. Poco dopo, mi ha spiegato la situazione e mi ha offerto di nuovo una colazione gratuita, che ho rifiutato. L'ho informata che le macchie sulla mia borsa nuova di zecca e inutilizzata erano ancora visibili. Poi ha detto che potevo portare la mia borsa in lavanderia a secco e che mi avrebbero risarcito se avessi mostrato loro la ricevuta. Ha pensato che avrebbero dovuto essere loro a portare la mia borsa in lavanderia a secco e a riportarmela invece di farmi andare da sola, dato che dovrei essere un ospite che esplora la città mentre sono qui per le vacanze? Ed era dovuto ai problemi con le tubature di cui avrebbero dovuto essere responsabili? Comunque, ho spiegato che avrei lasciato la città la sera successiva e ho chiesto se la lavanderia a secco sarebbe stata completata entro quella data, cosa che, a quanto ho capito, nessuno di noi può garantire. Quindi questa opzione non era così fattibile. Con ciò, si è offerta di rimborsarmi per una notte di soggiorno, cosa che ho accettato. Dopodiché le ho chiesto di trovare la lavanderia a secco più vicina per me e mi ha fornito l'indirizzo di una lavanderia self-service vicino all'hotel. Sono andato a lavare e asciugare la borsa e sono tornato con le ricevute per chiedere il risarcimento, ma mi è stato detto che era un'opzione ”o l'una o l'altra”. Ha detto che, poiché avevo già accettato il rimborso di una notte, avrei dovuto pagare io stesso i servizi di pulizia. Ero troppo stanco per discutere e il mio umore era già rovinato dall'intero incidente. Mi sono sentito così insoddisfatto dell'intero processo di recupero del servizio.

Strutture: questo hotel è il più soddisfacente del mio viaggio. Palestra, piscina interna riscaldata, bagno turco, tè pomeridiano, tutto a disposizione! Sembra che se sei in vacanza, puoi portarlo con te in hotel tutto il giorno senza uscire. Igiene: molto buona. Mi piace lo stile e l'a**osfera dell'hotel. Anche l'igiene è buona Ambiente: a pochi passi c'è il molo delle navi da crociera e la funivia, il che è fantastico e molto conveniente. E l'ambiente dell'alloggio è relativamente tranquillo, molto adatto per le vacanze Servizio: molto buono. Ti saluteranno quando si incontreranno. Forniremo tempestivo feedback su eventuali esigenze.

Heel fijn hotel! Top locatie. Dicht bij veel leuke ontbijt tentjes en restaurantjes. Ook heel dichtbij bij veel bezienswaardigheden. Top!

From the moment I landed, I knew this stay would be special. I was collected from the airport in a luxury Jaguar , (completely free) and transported again at departure, including complimentary trips to and from the city centre. Actual VIP treatment from start to finish .... something I have never experienced anywhere else. Because my flights didn’t match standard hotel times, the team kindly allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra cost, which took away all travel stress and made my stay even more comfortable. That flexibility meant everything to me. Every single staff member was amazingly warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Although I sadly didn’t manage to catch the names of the wonderful ladies at reception, they were absolutely incredible and deserve huge praise. Special mention to Tomas — such a professional, friendly, standout member of the team. I later found out his birthday was on Thursday 4th, and I wish I had the chance to say Happy Birthday before I left! The location is perfect — close to shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it easy to explore Porto while still enjoying a calm, comfortable stay. The room was immaculate — spotlessly clean, cosy, and beautifully prepared. And the amenities were next-level: Mini-bar, tea and coffee station with kettle, plush slippers, bathrobe, bottled water......everything thoughtfully provided. I was welcomed with a welcome drink on arrival, and a fresh fruit tray waiting in my room. Nothing felt standard, everything felt intentional. What truly sets this hotel apart is the attention to detail. There is a clear sense of care, love, and purpose in every interaction and every small touch. You’re not treated like just another guest , you are genuinely looked after. I honestly cannot fault a single thing about this stay. Hotel Jaguar Porto combines luxury service with real warmth and heart, a rare find. If you’re heading to Porto and looking for an experience that goes far beyond accommodation, this is THE hotel to book. 100% recommended. I will absolutely be back. ✨👏

Hotel d'affari che manca il contatto umano. Recep era freddo e non sorridente, che era una pena per un hotel così bello. Anche i pulsanti telefonici non funzionano e l'aria condizionata non funzionano. Dovevo andare a ricevere e chiedere aiuto. Il colazione era buono, tuttavia

Last year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

Mi piaceva assolutamente il mio soggiorno. Perfettamente situato con tonnellate da fare vicino. L'iscrizione era una brisa, e la mia stanza era elegante, moderna e con tutte le essenze. Per il prezzo, è un furto! Basta che si svegli – c'è un sito di costruzione vicino alla porta, ma non lasciare che ti fermi. Molto consiglia questo gem!

We were given a nice, clean room on an upper floor with a pretty view. The bathroom was on the right through a sliding door when you entered the room. It was spacious with a shower and a bathtub. Good breakfast! The roasted tomatoes were superb and it should be a dish available every morning at the buffet.

The least you expect from a five star hotel was a good service and cleanlinless. We stayed here for 5 nights and they did not change our bedsheet even though it was written that they will change it every 3 days, no refill of water, no refill of tissues and coffee and tea we had to request it. There’s a small cockroach in the bathtub. At the front desk they don’t even greet you whenever you passby I am not being entitled that I should be greeted I just compare it to other hotel where they always smile. It’s hard to call the front desk sometimes it will take 5 minutes.  On the positive side the food in the restaurant was really good and the drinks at the bar those who are working there was really nice and attentive too. I’d like to commend also Fabrizio who always smile and who helps us with our luggage when we check in and check out.

We had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay. One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience. Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel. The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal. Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!
