Ah, Baltimore, a city of rich history and eclectic charm. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of a stay at the Hotel Ulysses, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of this vibrant city. True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. The interiors seamlessly transition from the ornate influences of the Art Nouveau era to a more streamlined approach, evident in the hickory wood furniture adorned with Ash’s custom textiles. And oh, those hand-beaded lampshades and embroidered quilts! They added the perfect splash of color and quirk. A special shout-out to the carved flamingos that support the bedside tables, a delightful nod to Baltimore's own John Waters and his ”Pink Flamingos.” It's this mix of opulence and eccentricity that makes the Ulysses stand out. Booking through Trip.com was a new experience for us. A bit unconventional, sure, but it came through in the clutch. The $35 ”destination fee” threw us for a loop initially, but the $20 credit we received towards our bill at the hotel restaurant (Ash Bar) or the bar (Blooms) made it all worth it. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers. All employees were kind and helpful, even upgraded us to a corner king room on their own accord! I picked this hotel because it was in the center of everything we wanted to do on the rainy weekend we came out, it being a historic hotel was a nice bonus. Lobby was elegant with a bar and attached restaurant, room was clean. Only down side is the shower head being on the shorter side for my 6'2” fiance but he managed just fine. Valet is $50/night but I'll take knowing my car is safe and can use it whenever. Would absolutely stay again whenever we come back out to visit!

Era pulito. Ci siamo addormentati bene. Il servizio era bello, ma le strutture erano deludenti. Ho scelto sulla base di foto, ma la piscina era piena di goo verde e non c'era una tavola da piscina come immaginato! La colazione era buona, tranne che non ci sono uova e dovevi chiedere un yogurt! Quando ci chiedevamo di un secondo, ci fu detto: “no mas”!

I will start with the good. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Now the not so good. We chose this hotel specifically because they advertised, on the website, that there was a pool, hot tub, free breakfast, and coffee in the lobby. We were visiting our grandkids, and wanted the pool so we could bring them to swim. Well, weren't we suprised when we were told that both the pool and hot tub were closed permanetly, and the clerk even mentioned that they knew it was still advertised as having them on the website. When we asked about the free breakfast, we were told if we wanted breakfast, that was an additional fee, again, some false advertising going on. When my husband went to the lobby the next morning to get some coffee, well no surprise, there was none, just a plastic jug of water. There was a coffee maker in the room with 1 pod, so we did use that. When we asked about some compensation for the false advertising, we were told no. We would not have picked this hotel, if not for the fact they advertised the pool, hot tub, and free breakfast. Oh and just to put a button on it, we went to the bar for a 12 oz bottle of beer. $7.25 for 1 beer, 12.00 for a glass of wine, we thought that was a bit steep, especially since the bar was in the lobby with no atmosphere. So, if you are just looking for a place to sleep, you'll be fine.

Ho prenotato una prenotazione per la festa di compleanno di mio marito, l'intera esperienza era unica e semplicemente eccellente in ogni modo! Ci facevamo sentire molto speciale da ogni membro del personale con cui ci siamo impegnati. Siamo stati sempre accolti durante il soggiorno dalla persona che ha aperto la porta della macchina e ci ha salutati per nome ai concierge molto conosciuti, al personale di servizio in camera, al personale culinario, al telefono, al conducente, Lottie Dottie e a tutti! L'hotel è stato molto pulito e bellissimo decorato con immagini, libri, mobili, piante e oggetti che raccontavano la storia dell'hotel. Questo include un soggiorno molto accogliente con un comodo letto di canoa e un bagno ricco, spazioso e aggiornato. Ogni tono ci ha spinto a muovere le parole, indipendentemente da dove siamo stati e da cosa stiamo facendo. Qualche volta aveva un attacco a snack? Non preoccupatevi! La stanza era ben conservata con una varietà di dolci e bevande per calmare le urla. E, infine, mi consenta di lodare le scelte alimentari che ci sono state offerte al tempo del teatro e al colazione. Sono fatti a casa, burro di manzo, muffin, pipistrelli di avena, salsa di pollo, uova, e altro ancora! Questo era un bel bell'incontro! E, sì, lo faremo di nuovo!

Personale amichevole, zona molto bella piscina, bella caffè, bella colazione ristorante (prezzo, hanno ordinato male come altri quell'altro giorno), bella zona bar, bella patio e musica vivente, bella zona tiki e zona prato seduto, proprio sulla spiaggia, garage multi-story, diversi ascensori, buona negozio regalo (può usare più merci), grande servizio di guardia, grande entrata attraverso la strada, vicino a molti negozi, bar, ristoranti, amichevole e veloce personale di front desk, Le camere erano grandi (come casa) con frigorifero completo con ghiaccio, microonde, forno, smaltimento del bagno, lavastoviglie, caffè, pranzo, argento, tazze e pannelli, due TV a schermo piatto, porta a separare la zona di dormire dal soggiorno, divano involucro, due tavoli da pranzo, forniture di energia per dispositivi, a/c grande, balconi sono bellissimi e grandi viste, spa e massaggio al piano di sotto, bella sala di allenamento, wifi e internet buono, bagno ha asciugacapelli e shampoo condizionatore di corpo lavastoviglie e grande specchio con illuminazione condizioni, in camera sicura, zona lavanderia disponibile, . Potrebbe usare i documenti locali di eventi, cibo, divertimenti e coupons disponibili, più macchine di vendita necessarie, piscina necessaria per essere più pulita (in cui molti ospiti), può essere un po 'suono a volte sia dal corridoio interno che dal balcone vicino alla piscina.

When we were arriving, we didn’t have navigation so it was wonderful to see the big sign from the road. Check in is also 24hrs which really helped us as we were arriving late. The room had everything we needed and included 3 power points under the table lamps. It would’ve been nice to have brighter lights as it was a bit dim but the lamps helped to focus the lighting. All the staff and housekeeping were friendly but I wished the front desk had more knowledge for overseas travellers. It’s also conveniently located near a shopping area. We got our traveller eSIM cards from the nearby AT&T store. I didn’t get to use the amenities.

È stato un bel hotel, spazioso e pulito e ha molte opzioni alimentari vicino. Il personale era amichevole e il colazione era buona aveva molte opzioni per non- vegetariani ma meno opzioni per vegetariani. Rimarrà qui se necessario.

Due letti grandi, adatto a quattro famiglie.L'igiene è buona 👌 Il personale dell'hotel è molto bello e il servizio è molto attento.Raccomandazione 👍
