From the moment you enter Kokuya Ryokan, be prepared to leave the real world behind and fully immerse yourself in the experience. You swap your shoes for slippers at the door and don’t see them again until you leave. You will receive a warm welcome from polite and gentle-mannered staff, get taken up to your beautiful room, and once you’ve changed into your traditional yukata, it’s time to let the relaxation begin. The multi-course dinner will probably be one of the best meals you’ve had in your life, with many unusual textures and flavors to try. The futons are comfortable, and your room is kept toasty warm. There are even skincare products to keep you pampered and moisturized between soaks in the onsen. Honestly, you won’t even need to open your suitcase while you’re there. The staff will take you through all the logistics when you arrive, but there are some things that might be useful to know in advance. - The ryokan sends a shuttle to Yudanaka station at about 15:00 to collect new arrivals, so time your journey to take advantage of this benefit. - The ryokan also offers guests the opportunity to catch a shuttle to the Snow Monkey Park immediately after breakfast the next morning. - After you leave the ryokan, they will take your luggage down to the coffee shop opposite the station, so you don’t need to worry about those logistics. - Trains from Yudanaka back to Nagano leave at 12:30 and 15:30. - The ryokan itself has several private onsens that you can reserve for a 45-minute slot. Because the onsens are on the property, you can go in with your partner or travel companions regardless of gender. It’s a boutique hotel, so you don’t have to worry about not getting access to all the onsens you want. - The ryokan is on the main road of the Shibu Onsen town. The hotel will give you a key so you can wonder down the main road, visiting any of the public onsens you wish - however, with so many gorgeous and more private onsens in the hotel itself, you probably won’t have time or the desire for this. - Also, there is a coffee machine in the room! (I was worried about having to survive without coffee, and this turned out to be an unfounded concern). We had an incredible and totally indulgent time at Kokuya. Experiencing a traditional ryokan is a privilege that you should try at least once if you can. And adding the Snow Monkeys in give the trip a double purpose, making it that much more memorable. The only thing that would have made the trip better is if we had been allowed to linger longer over every course of our dinner.

Ho avuto una fantastica esperienza all'Hotel Indigo. Il servizio era impeccabile, con personale attento e amichevole che andavano sopra e oltre per assicurare il mio comfort. Le camere erano senza spot e l'attenzione ai dettagli era evidente. L'ambiente è stato delizioso, con un arredo delizioso e un ambiente ben mantenuto. Kudos al team per il loro servizio eccezionale e per creare un soggiorno memorabile. Sono ansioso di tornare in futuro.

Il bus dell'hotel è molto accogliente per l'ospite che potrebbe perdere il trasporto pubblico fuori dal calendario che l'ospite avrebbe chiamato l'hotel per il bus dell'ospite da prendere. Il miglior servizio è disponibile nelle selezioni di colazione e cena che possono scegliere molti ristoranti per essere nella proprietà dell'hotel e potrebbero richiedere la prenotazione in alcuni ristoranti. Se l'ospite si presenta per lo sport invernale senza apparecchiature proprie, il negozio è vicino alla porta di questa proprietà dell'hotel per poter fornire tutti i servizi; il noleggio, la struttura e la cera per tutti i tipi di apparecchiature invernali per essere pronti prima di andare a La montagna di Hakuba.

Uno dei due ex hotel Sunroute, uno a due lati della stazione Nagano, entrambi dove abbiamo soggiornato in precedenti visite, è diventato un Sotetsu Fresa Inn, l'altro la Courtland. A pochi minuti a piedi dalla stazione, e direttamente sopra un negozio di comodità e con diversi ristoranti molto vicino all'hotel, Fresa Inn è idealmente situato. Nonostante la prenotazione di mesi in anticipo, siamo stati molto delusi di constatare che ci era stato assegnato un fumatore al 6° piano, direttamente sopra la ricezione al 5° piano. Come due ex fumatori, riteniamo che la stencil acrilica di fumo di sigarette di stalla sia estremamente inconfortabile; chiesemo una stanza senza fumare, ma non era disponibile; l'aria condizionata/freschiatore portatile non ha potuto pulire l'odore inconfortabile. La stanza era ragionevole, con buone strutture e il buffet era molto buono, anche se la lenitudine dei due tostapane era un po' annoiante. Ottimo hotel in generale, ma purtroppo ricevendo una camera da fumo, davanti all'hotel, sul piano più basso, soggetto al rumore dalla strada sottostante.

Meno di 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione JR, la mia camera gemella è molto spaziosa e viene con un desk. Le letti sono molto comodi e sono disponibili molte attrezzature. Anche il servizio di cena a sera è complimentare. Non abbiamo potuto provare il colazione, ma sembrano grandi con molte varietà. Questo è un posto per stare a Matsumoto.

L'hotel situato nella zona di edifici governativi. È quindi molto buono per gli imprenditori. Hanno cinque ristoranti. Ma perché non abbiamo organizzato colazione alberghiero, era un po' difficile ottenere colazione intorno all'hotel. Ma c'è un negozio conveniente vicino. La stanza era pulita.La ricezione ci ha dato una stanza di piano alto con vista sulla città bella. L'hotel dispone di tre grandi parchi auto. L'ospite dell'hotel doveva pagare un canone di parcheggio di 1000 yen per tutta la permanenza, che credo sia ragionevole. L'hotel è in realtà ben situato - abbastanza vicino ai punti di vista nel centro della città.

Abbiamo soggiornato qui alla fine del nostro tempo in Giappone come trattamento e per l'esperienza tradizionale giapponese inn / onsen e non siamo stati sicuramente delusi. La stanza era enorme e la zona di seggio fu convertita senza saldature per dormire dal personale dell'hotel mentre noi mangiamo il nostro pranzo. Il cibo era fantastico - lo usavamo tre volte in una notte, l'amo e l'amo. Tutto in una grande esperienza e un bel posto per restare.

The front desk 竹村, on June 18th 10:50, she told us there’s no pick up service after check out (there is), without offering any assistance to deliver our bags to the station. We feel that the staffs are poorly trained when it comes to the hotel facility nor their communication skills. The hotel itself is highly enjoyable especially the hot spring! Everything is brand new and the surroundings are epic! I’m sorry to have to minus one star because of 竹村’s poor reaction to customers’ requests.

We were travelling to hakuba in the mid summer. Greeted with a very attentive staff helping with the luggages while I waited for my partner to park his car. Yet for another younger checkin staff, he did not explain anything about the facilities and while I was asking for more information, he kind of despised us for booking thru this platform during the conversation… as a Marriott member, this is not the Marriott standard as I would expect. The room was clean and spacious, and there were welcome snacks at the lobby. For the onsen, it smelled like a warmed swimming pool instead of the traditional ones. Saw a few visitors going in without taking a shower … not the hotel’s fault for these wild behaviours but perhaps sticking a more obvious sign with multiple languages explaining that shower is required before onsen may help.
