Regno Unito: hotel con bar nella provincia di Highlands

I asked for a quiet room and was placed on 1st floor however in a room closest to the main road with lots of traffic noise and there was construction going on nearby with constant drilling and noise until 4am so I never managed to sleep for most of the night, meaning that I couldn’t get up early to use the facilities. It’s not the staffs fault, but just be careful when booking.

On arrival we were met with a very run down looking hotel, which needed a fresh coat of paint and the missing letters from the hotel name replaced. However, the staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful and food in the bar was very good. Lovely swimming pool, which was an added bonus. Our room was however small and dark, with low lighting and we hardly had any channels on our tv due to poor signal. There is no lift at the hotel so not ideal for anyone with health issues. This was our most expensive hotel during our mini tour of Scotland and definitely our worst room

The spirit of the Highwayman is alive and we'll and to be found in Inverness! The Glenmhor is a good hotel, well appointed and in a very convenient location. Staff are friendly and while the breakfast is not the best, it is adequate. When I visited the food was not hot and only scrambled egg was on offer. Here's the main gripe. BEFORE BOOKING READ THE SMALL PRINT. If you are driving you will pay an extra £12 per night for the privilege of using the hotel car park which is not secure and open to the public. The cost is simple scandalous and blatant gouging. The very helpful reception staff pointed out that guests actually have a discounted rate! Umm? 🤔 Neither is it reasonable to blame outsourcing of the carpark to a contractor; the car park belongs to the hotelier! 😠 After discovering that another nearby hotel (The Craigmonie) had recently started charging £6/night, I decided not to use it again out of principle. Such charges for guests already paying exorbitant room rates is nothing short of daylight (or rather, night-time) robbery. I travel through Inverness frequently but I will not use the Glenmhor again, out of principle. Inverness hoteliers have simply become greedy. For an overnight bed, either go budget (Travelodge) or look outside of the city.

The hotel is situated some 20 KM south of Forth William in a small village, located at the loch with views across the water. The rooms are large and comfortable and clean but not modern, the hotel has a restaurant and pub. I used a room in the main building there are also pods outside near the water. Was disappointed that the London like rate did not include breakfast, if you charge £285 per night in the country side I would expect breakfast. Lovely place, beautiful area.

Personale adorabile, hotel incantevole, peccato dover fare ricorso per le tariffe del parcheggio, soprattutto dopo aver inserito i dettagli appropriati nel sistema di parcheggio….

Quando arrivammo, il parcheggio disponibile era pieno e abbiamo finito il parcheggio nella prossima strada fuori dalla casa di qualcuno. La stanza era compatta che ci aspettavamo, mentre avevamo prenotato una piccola stanza. Il check-in era molto veloce e ci sono state date informazioni sull'hotel e il colazione. La nostra stanza era molto pulita, se un po' datata. Quando abbiamo switchato sulla TV non avrebbe visualizzato alcun programma. Abbiamo chiamato la ricezione e hanno mandato qualcuno entro cinque minuti per risolvere il problema che si è rivelato un errore con il cavo aereo. La colazione era ben organizzata e la qualità del servizio e della selezione dei cibi era buona. In generale, l'hotel è stato conveniente e ideale per noi per un soggiorno di una notte sul nostro viaggio di ritorno dagli Ebridi e saremmo sicuramente rimasti qui se facessimo lo stesso viaggio in futuro

L'ambiente è ottimo, la posizione è facile da trovare, proprio in riva al lago, e la colazione è una tipica colazione inglese. È a soli tre o quattro chilometri dal centro della città e ci vogliono circa dieci minuti per arrivarci. È molto comodo e una buona scelta per un viaggio sugli altopiani.

La stanza era abbastanza spaziale per tre persone con bagagli. La vista dalla stanza era molto bella con il lago e le montagne. La nostra stanza era al livello del lago, quindi abbiamo avuto accesso diretto dalla nostra stanza all'esterno, che è il lago e è stato molto bello. ma manteniamo le porte chiuse ogni volta che sono state usate, come è vicino al lago e al livello del lago. (non velenoso) all'erba fuori dalla stanza, al mattino. Il ristorante ha bevuto bevande e cibo, anche se sono costosi. La vista dal ristorante durante il colazione mattina era bella. Puoi portare i vestiti di nuoto se vuoi usare la primavera calda in hotel. Non abbiamo avuto l'uso, ma sembrava bello. C'è una cooperativa vicino all'hotel. L'unica cosa che vorrei che fossero migliori durante il nostro soggiorno era l'atteggiamento di alcuni dipendenti.

La scuola si trova vicino alla stazione di treno Kyle Of Lochalsh, a circa 6 minuti a piedi, la camera da letto è calda, tranquilla, il proprietario è molto buon servizio, buon colazione, può camminare attraverso la spagna per viaggiare facilmente al lato opposto di Kylekin. È vicino alla fermata degli autobus, attraversando l'isola di cielo.
