Me and a colleague booked this resort for a 1 night stay on 18th September through MMT as part of a business meeting with a client based out of Kottayam. We were traveling from Bangalore and reached the resort at 12pm as per the check in time stated in the booking confirmation, but from reception it was told that they've recently changed the check in time to 2pm however it wasn'tcommunicated to us. After talking and waiting for about half an hour they've alloted the room. Below are our specific experience at Paradise Resort, Kumarakom: 1. Food options in the menu weren't available. Said that there is a party going on for another group, so cheff is busy with that and only limited items are available for other guests. 2. We were having a beer sitting at the varantha of our cottage. Then a staff came, said that he's the GM of the resort and told us there is a police officer and group of friends staying in the resort (two cottage after ours), so we cannot have beer in our cottage's varantha. But this group of people were enjoying drinks in front of their cottage and walking around the property with liquor. So we had a little bit of argument, and our point was ”the rule within the resort should be same for all guests.” The GM wasn't ready to accept that and behaved us in an unprofessional tone. He was often saying he's the GM, also said that they've contact with politicians, police and local leaders, so if you doesn't want to stay then you should leave. It was clear threatening and an unacceptable way of communication from a person who should be treating all customers equally. 3. Finally we complained at MMT and vacated the resort 2 hours after check-in. Even when we were leaving, the way staff and GM communicated was inappropriate. 4. After vacating, we've booked Abad Whispering Palms (a nearby resort) and stayed there overnight. It was an amazing experience at Abad and from all staffs. 5. Overall, Paradise Resort management should give some sort of hospitality training to their staffs. I believe some of the reviews they've on google or other booking platforms are paid reviews. At present this resort doesn't even qualify for a 1 star rating.

Questo posto è chiaramente passato il suo primo dall'aspetto di esso. La nostra sala di vista deluxe Lagoon è passato il suo ‘meglio per’ data. Il mobilio è spruzzato, lo specchio ha grandi tinture, la stanza ha un odore quando ci siamo accorti, l'aria condizionata funziona solo in un posto - 19 gradi. Il lavoro di legno è stato ripristinato sventolatamente, la porta di vetro è diventata giallo con grigio. La manutenzione e la manutenzione della proprietà, ovviamente, suscitano seria attenzione, ma purtroppo, quando ho cercato di mostrare alcune immagini della stanza alla casa, non ha causato alcuna preoccupazione. Mi è stato informato che la chiusura estesa di Covid - e il clima tropicale e l'aria umida, ha preso un enorme carico sulla proprietà. In altre parole, non possiamo davvero fare molto! Tuttavia, presumibilmente, una riqualificazione della proprietà è in corso - non ci aiuta comunque. Anche se la spiegazione era valida, la risposta nonchalante era gallante e completamente inaspettata. E comunque, perché non ci aspettare meglio, come ospiti paganti? Alla colazione questa mattina, il papaya era non maturato, la pineaccia era sovramatura e dicolorata. E il meglio. - Non potevano trovare banane locali decente, fresche e mature per servire! Al pranzo, il curry verde thailandese era speziato - così speziato e nessuno di noi quattro poteva mangiare più di una limone. Noi rifiutammo di mangiarla e li chiesemmo di riprenderlo. Ma sorprendente, apparve sul nostro conto - nessuna scusa offerta. Naturalmente, abbiamo rifiutato di pagare per il piatto. Molto evento per le prime 24 ore.

Il supporto di prenotazione è meraviglioso da Gayathri e il brillo. È meraviglioso dettaglio della proprietà di Vinaya e lei ci ha curati all'arrivo alla partenza. Pradeep ha fatto un servizio di manutenzione meraviglioso casa, shaju con il calore buggy guida attraverso la proprietà. L'esperienza di mangiare da colazione a cena e tutta l'equipaggio da cuoco a servizio è davvero in alto.Specialmente uno chetante che ha sorpreso portando una torta per celebrare il compleanno delle mie figlie.

Rhythm, kumarakom is a very homely and beautiful resort. Its pool is huge and very well maintained. Entire staff of rhythm, kumarkom is very polite and efficient. They always carry smiles on their face whenever you come across any one of them. I would like to mention mrs. Sheryl (hope i have spelled her name correctly) in vembanad restaurant ***** with their entire kitchen n serving staff have been excellent. Overall our experience has been wonderful. Food is very tasty. We tried almost everything from their menu in our 6 nights stay. Cuisine from south to north to continental to italian, all dishes were well prepared. I would give 5 stars here for entire experience and food, service. Talking about room, their pool side cottages are excellent. Very clean and well maintained. Their house keeping staff is very efficient and prompt. I would give 5 stars to them as well. Thank you!

Athithi devo bhava! Team KLR has literally executed this phrase. My family and I were on a 4 night package which involved 2 nights at the Lake resort, one night on the house boat and a night at their Forte Cochin property. And we have not been able to stop ranting about the exceptional service we were presented. At every step, we were made to feel like we were the only guests there, so much attention and one- one special treatment. And I can say that we noticed all guests were meted out the same treatment. It was an unforgettable experience for us and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of the staff there. Starting with Sreelakshmi who assisted us with the reception/ checking in to the concierge guy from Patna who helped us to transport our luggage. Sarat, the bakery chef hand held us through every meal and was so selflessly explaining some tips on his special sour dough eggless croissants (one never sees that with a world class chef). Saji the sous chef attended to every detail. A big thanks to Sarat and Saji who organised the Onam sadhya specially for us despite it not being on menu and we were still a few days away to Onam, the harvest festival. We only enquired about getting the Onam sadhya in Cochin and lo and behold – they organised it for us then and there. Kavi, who is the travel guide within the resort was truly an expert at everything one needed to know about the place and insisted we do the sunset cruise which was so beautiful accompanied by talented musicians who performed on the cruise. The houseboat was a surreal experience, a spic and span boat with an experienced crew transported us to another world entirely. Even the drivers Mahesh, James and Johnson took care of every detail for us and going out of their way to make our travel between the airport/ hotels comfortable. Last but not the least – the managers at both resorts Vishnu, Gerin and Sajish took extra care to make our stay enormously memorable. Sajish even took us around the 300 year old Forte Kochi property to explain some of the very old parts of the Dutch bunglow like the Jewish mikueh. I have never made the effort in any of my holidays to note the staff’s name because no one has ever gone that extra mile for me to even notice it. Here, every staff was strikingly helpful. All in all, we cant stop singing praises of the fabulous experience we had at KLR. I would highly recommend this and would request the Chairman Mr John Paul (whose whiskies are wonderful too) to continue to keep the staff motivated.
