Hotel a 2 stelle in Prefettura di Nagano, Giappone

I had a wonderful stay at Amagawaso in Shibu Onsen. The ryokan is run by an elderly couple who don’t speak English, but they were incredibly sweet and welcoming. With the help of Google Translate, communication was easy enough and actually added to the charm of the experience. They provided yukata and geta for exploring the town, as well as the key that gives access to the nine public onsens in Shibu — an amazing and unique experience. On top of that, the ryokan offers a free 40-minute private onsen session, which was a lovely touch. Our room was very spacious, and shortly after we arrived, the hostess came in to prepare complimentary matcha tea for us. She also gifted us steamed buns filled with red bean paste, which felt incredibly thoughtful. The location is also very convenient for visiting the Snow Monkey Park, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. Overall, the hospitality was genuine, the onsen experience was fantastic, and the atmosphere felt authentically traditional. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Shibu Onsen or planning a trip to see the snow monkeys.

Anche il personale è thailandese, gentile e fornisce ottimi consigli.

Il personale si è davvero spinto sopra e oltre per rendere due turisti canadesi ignoranti estremamente benvenuti ad un tradizionale Ryuken giapponese. Anche se c'era una piccola barriera linguistica, non ci siamo mai sentiti incapaci di comunicare le nostre esigenze. Il ronzio caldo e freddo è stato molto raffreddato dopo aver camminato nelle città postali lungo la strada Nakasendo. Il fiume vicino all'hotel ha fatto per una relaxante esperienza e un profondo sonno. In qualche modo, ho perso l'opzione quando prenotavo per scegliere l'opzione cena, non ci sono altre opzioni alimentari in zona, e il cameriere (proprietario) ha detto che avrebbe messo insieme un ”simplificato pasto” per noi per un piccolo onere che ritenevamo accettabile. Il kaiki che ci ha seguito è stato uno dei cibi giapponesi migliori e più autentici che abbiamo vissuto nelle nostre due settimane in Giappone. La donna che ci ha servito era una gemma assoluta e il gatto che ha correto l'istituto era adorabile. La nostra camera era molto confortevole e aveva un bel posto a sedere con vista sul fiume. Solo punti di contenzione sarebbe che è un po' fuori strada se non hai una macchina, ma è convenientemente accessibile con autobus con ~10 minuti a piedi. Le strutture sono un po' date, l'aquila è scolorita, ma io presumo che sia da minerali naturali, c'è stato un odore di fumo nelle stanze che è un po' fuori uso per non fumatori. Sembra che il fumo sia consentito in un impianto che potrebbe essere un plus per alcuni.

Fukashiso could be one of the loveliest accommodation that I have ever stayed at. The staff were very polite, attentive and extremely helpful and courteous. The place itself is so beautiful and quaint. Traditional garments are provided as an option if you want to dress up for dinner. Made for great photo ops! The Kaiseki was the most beautiful equivalent of a degustation I’ve tried, and it was served in a lovely separate intimate dining area. During dinner Nobu-San a fourth generation family member of the owners greeted us which was a lovely touch. Soba was freshly made at the accomodation. We stayed two nights and the Kaiseki menu was different each time. Breakfast was a nice assortment of Japanese and Western options and the coffee machine was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the onsens, there are two public ones that switch locations for men and women and a private one. They were well equipped and relaxing. Our room was on Level 1 with a private bathroom, seating area and little garden view. Overall this place is highly recommended. For a traditional ryokan experience, it was so nice. Even after we checked out, the receptionist gave us a little gift, and even walked us outside to where our car was parked. Such a warm and lovely place. Stay here for sure!

I’m so excited to share a review for this amazing couple. Kazuo-san and his wife were very kind and caring throughout my entire stay. They had the right amenities for a Bed and Breakfast that caters to ski lovers and snow boarders. The B&B is also a more traditional and heritage kind, preserving the authentic looks through time, they’ve been running this for 35 beautiful years. If you’d like, dinner is also available as an add-on, nothing beats a high value home-cooked food, made from the heart. I’ll highly recommend this location, Kazuo-san also goes the extra mile to drop you off at the pick-up points if you don’t have your own car. Beyond that Kazuo-san is also very knowledgeable and informed with the latest news, so he’s able to recommend good ski resorts, summer activities or even delve into the history of surrounding areas like Kurohime and more. I was quite shocked to see some earlier reviews by other foreigners that rated this location quite poorly when they don’t understand what they’ve booked. This is a bed and breakfast inn and it’s every inch authentic as it should be. So if you’re looking for a fuss-free stay with friendly authentic folks, this should be on your list.

La mia revisione del GF: Il mio soggiorno a Meiji Onsen Ryokan è stato il mio primo soggiorno in un ryokan, e non mi sono mai sentito più benvenuto in nessun altro luogo di ospite che ho mai avuto prima, di cui ci sono molti. E anche dopo il primo giorno, sono abbastanza sicuro che rimarrà in questo modo per sempre. Sono molto grato per il vostro benvenuto e sono sorpreso dal lavoro svolto in questo luogo dall'equipaggio del vostro hotel.Tutto si sente naturale e bella, e l'atmosfera è così tranquilla e speciale. Le persone che lavorano qui sono appassionate per il loro lavoro, e come persona appassionata mi sento energica e felice di vedere gli altri divertirsi così per quello che fanno. Ricorderò sempre il mio primo soggiorno e confronterò altri ryokan che vado a Meiji Onsen Ryokan, perché penso che sia il miglior ryokan in Giappone. Grazie mille per questa esperienza meravigliosa. E Okami-chan è la ragazza migliore di tutti i Nagano! Sono molto fortunato di prenotare l'ultima stanza di sabato. Anche se la valutazione di viaggio non è alta, la valutazione di Google Map è molto buona, anche migliore di quanto pensassi. Sono rimasto con i miei amici dopo aver bevuto. This ryokan and onsen sits on a hillside above the town of Obuse, with a good view of the town.  We were greeted by a most gracious and kind hostess.  Our room was spacious and clean.  The dining room prepared an excellent and reasonably priced dinner without previous notice from us.  Our hostess was helpful at getting it ordered for us, since as naive Americans we didn't know the food well.  Pictures posted on the wall of all the dishes also helped.  Later, the onsen was simply wonderful.  The water was sulferous, and both stimulating and relaxing on the skin.  The water was a special treat; chemical composition was posted so that we could see what we were getting.  And it was blissful.  We slept well on futons, and woke to an excellent Japanese breakfast (be sure to get the breakfast, well worth it).  Our hostess made everything easy for us, with her gentle and attentive kindness.  We would love to return, but for a much longer stay.
