The accommodation is very close to the Xiamen International Airport T3. If you have an early flight to catch, it is definitely a very convenient location. We took about 4 minutes from the apartment to the airport.
The rooms are big enough to stay up to 4 people. The boss provided us with simple amenities. The apartment is near a residential area, very accessible to markets and eateries

Great stay. Clean, pristine room. Very responsive host. I don’t know if they speak English because I spoke Chinese with them.
Easy to find location, but once you’re there, you need to call them, so please make sure your phone works.
The only slight complaint I have is that the ceiling in the bathroom is low so I had to bend my knees to shower. I am over six feet tall so maybe this won’t be a problem for others.
Will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

Near airport so no complaints. Took a DiDi cos it's damn affordable. Bus is even more affordable but have to walk slightly further. Either free pickup or drop off only. I choose drop off cos I had a early morning flight. Anyway there was a sign saying no drop offs after 8am. Dunno why.
I reached early and the corridor was like a battlefield, linens all over the floor. At least it showed they really changed the linens in every room.
My room has this frosted window pane and another clear transparent pane on top just outside the toilet. There were no curtains at the window but there is one nearer the bed so I suggest not walking naked from the bed to the toilet.
Receptionist/?boss/driver is the same man. I'm not too sure if I should complain that he was without a smile throughout my check-in process.
Oh and no elevator, for those carrying luggage. The reception is on the 2nd floor.
But lots of nice food in the vicinity!

È bello svegliarsi e tirare fuori le finestre e vedere il sole. Purtroppo, non ho visto il sole la mattina in cui vivo. Mi dispiace davvero che la prossima volta che avro'la possibilità di andare a Fuzhou, dovrai vivere di nuovo in questo negozio!E'veramente un popolo caro! Il giorno dopo, devi andare all'aeroporto per arrivare al volo. Il capo è molto vicino. Il capo attenderà prima di andare all'aeroporto. Una gente molto buona. Vive molto comoda. The hotel owner was very responsive via WeChat. He'd come in his minivan to fetch you even if you're the only party. He'll also send you to the airport no matter what time.
The hotel is in the suburbs and the surroundings look kinda dodgy but it's super near the airport, it's convenient if you're transiting, which we were.
It's right beside an unassuming eatery which had fantastic food (really underrated) so you can just pop downstairs any time for food. We were out past 1 am and there was still food.
The hotel owner was very friendly and helpful. He gave us slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste.
The toilet had toiletries and a hairdryer too. All expected.
Aircon/heating is decent, room was clean and simple.
WiFi provided, water pressure is decent, mineral water and kettle available too.
We had a bit of a plumbing issue because we didn't know you can't flush toilet paper down the toilet in China but the hotel owner came quickly with his plunger and saved the night.
I have nothing to complain about and only gratefulness!

Sono rimasto a Shanghai per un giorno, ha fornito un camion gratuito e un'invio all'aeroporto, quindi è stato molto comodo. La stanza era spaziosa e pulita, quindi ho dormito molto comodamente.Capo.Devo mettere una nuova cortina di bagno nella stanza che sto soggiornando (non ricordo quale stanza è, ma è l'ultima stanza sul corridoio del 5° piano). Ero un po' deluso di questo 🤭

UUtente ospiteFrom my experience at 4 different accommodations in the Jinjiang/Quanzhou area, I have come to learn that the cleanliness (or rather, lack thereof) at this hotel is typical of this area at this price range. So I don’t want to make it sound worse than it deserves.
That said, the first thing I saw when I entered the room was a gross-looking tangle of hair on the floor. I sent a WeChat message to the person managing it, and to their credit they were very apologetic and sent someone to clean it up, which they did (I was gone at the time). When I got back, though, I was disappointed that although that particular tangle of hair had been cleaned up, the rest of the floor still had visible dust and who-knows-what on it. I ended up seeing a broom and dustpan in the hallway against another door, and I decided to briefly borrow it and quickly sweep my own floor so I didn’t have to feel like it was gross. After that it was ok.
Also, there was a sort of dank, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which I believe is from the drain. The toilet is the kind that you are not supposed to flush toilet paper down (instead put it in the bin next to the toilet), so it’s also possible the smell was the result of that system after the previous occupant’s stay. There is a water problem in the bathroom such that when you take a shower, water ends up sitting in a kind of puddle on the floor near the sink, so it’s hard for the bathroom to ever be entirely dry, which no doubt also adds to the difficulty of keeping the bathroom smelling fresh.
The room itself was big and included a washing machine, which was very helpful! There was a little kitchen area and a kettle and such. Water bottles were supplied every day. The bed was comfortable and clean.
There was a sofa and a coffee table, and another sort of recliner seat near the window. Unfortunately the coffee table looked dirty (some sort of sticky residue on it) from the last occupant, so I didn’t want to put anything on it.
The location is right next to the Jinjiang airport, which is of course convenient for arriving or departing by plane. Checkin was done via WeChat - I just told them I had arrived, and they sent me a code for the door. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived, but I can’t say for sure that no one is ever there. Possibly if I had waited longer someone would have come, I don’t know.
For all the negative comments I had above, I want to repeat what I stated at the beginning - this level of cleanliness is apparently fairly normal for this price range in this area. I still think more effort could and should be put into making it a cleaner and more inviting space for customers, and things like the standing water problem in the bathroom should be fixed to prevent mold growth and such, but it’s also possible I just need to suck it up and spend more money on a better hotel room if I feel that my standard of cleanliness is so important.

Servizio: il servizio del negozio è molto buono e vengono forniti anche i pasti. C'è anche un servizio di ritiro e riconsegna dopo l'arrivo alla stazione dei treni ad alta velocità. È un servizio unico per viaggiare a Pingtan.
Dotazione: praticamente tutti gli elettrodomestici necessari ci sono (purtroppo non c'è la TV), tutto il resto è perfetto

UUtente ospiteReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently.
Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.

AAnh-BaoThe apartment is located inside a modern high rise building (with four elevators) in the middle of what appears to be a middle class neighborhood.
The building is within walking distance (I estimate 10-15 minutes tops) of the Fuzhou-South railway station. However. When me and my friend arrived there we decided to take a cab due to heavy rain - and we got yelled at because the driver was unhappy about the destination being so close to the railway station We yelled back and the driver apologized. We later realized that it would have been smarter to order a DiDi as cab drivers have to wait in line long time to get a railway customer and it is understandable that they want a customer who wants to go to the city center. Still. He had no right to yell at us. This is what the minimum fee is for.
Anyway. It is one of those high rise buildings that is built around a huge mall. Plenty of shops, drug stores, markets, restaurants (outside the mall) are within 5 minute radius. A mall entrance is within 3 minute walking distance. Very very convenient location. Not only so. Every day after 10:00pm there is a night market down the street where you can buy all sorts of delicious snacks even grilled oysters and steak.
Me and my friend had no issue locating the apartment because upon arriving at Fuzhou-South we got in touch with the owner. The owner then befriended me on WeChat, sent us the address, pictures of the entrance, description of how to open the main apartment door and the key lockers. Piece of cake. TBH I initially did not understand how to enter the code into the electronic door lock and so the owner came to assist. She was there within minutes after we asked for help.
The apartment is basically a bedroom with huge screen, beamer, queensize bed, workplace with sink, water cooker, washing machine, dining table and a nice, big fridge. Naturally you also have your own bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Everything was very clean and me and my friend were super happy with our choice. I initially thought that the mattress was too firm but then I slept very well on it. You have to take a cab or DiDi to the city center but its not far so it is not expensive. The A/C works very well. The view from the 18th floor is amazing.
Would I stay there again? Given the good location, hygiene and price I would absolutely stay there again.

PPK WOttima posizione. Viste davvero belle dal 53 ° piano con vista sull'acqua e sull'isola. L'appartamento aveva 4 camere da letto, una delle quali senza finestre. Per una famiglia il layout non era molto intuitivo rispetto al modo in cui le cose erano divise. Il soggiorno non era molto accogliente. Non c'erano lampade da comodino con solo un'illuminazione forte nelle camere da letto, nessuna sensazione casalinga. Nessun vero asciugamano in offerta, solo carta come asciugamani da usare. La cucina non è proprio user-friendly. L'intero posto ha bisogno di cure amorevoli per renderlo più invitante. Buona posizione con il centro commerciale e i ristoranti nelle immediate vicinanze.

L'uscita è buona strada (la propria negozia locale) buona non è ancora costosa. La madre di Stan è al 50's di lama. La porta è a cinque minuti a piedi per la strada occidentale e aprire il palazzo, Il piano di gioco della carta, il piano di orologio, è su una rete, non perderò!15 minuti a piedi.Esci per prendere un piccolo auto bianco, arriva a Hangzhou per trenta minuti, scende a Hangzhou per cinque minuti, è molto consigliabile andare a piedi nella città di Hangzhou, prendere una carta da sola, tornare a casa molto sicura più tardi della notte. Non c'è bisogno di andare a West Street troppo, è in questa strada che si possono mangiare tutti i tipi di cibo caratteristico localmente a Hangzhou, pratica economica! Perche'non ho lasciato il Yuancheng molto vicino, sono andato tre volte, mattina e sera, e ho suggerito di andare al mattino e alla sera. Tutti sono persone, pomeriggio e pomeriggio. Sei venuto dove vuoi venire. Il fuoco tra le persone della cultura di Yunnan e la gente è in tutto il mondo!

BBeatrizThis hotel has the great advantage of being located near the subway and train station. Easy access to shopping centers. Our room and bathroom are spacious and exceptional clean. The beds are very comfortable and we liked the good quality new cotton sheets as well as the towels. The reception staff does not speak English but they did a big effort to make our stay pleasant. Initially we had reserved it for 2 nights but then we decided to extend our stay for 4 nights. Before choosing this hotel, I had read comments from previous guests and I am very happy to have chosen it. Breakfast is buffet, very good and the staff of dining room is adorable. In summary, I give it 5/5 points.

SSonnySideUpI recently stayed at Desti Youth Park in Xiamen, and overall, it met my expectations nicely.
The location is a strong plus – tucked in a convenient part of Siming District, it’s within walking distance to several local attractions, eateries, and even public transportation. Despite being in the city, the hostel maintains a quiet and laid-back vibe, which I appreciated after a full day out exploring.
The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, suitable for solo travellers like myself. Staff were helpful when needed, and check-in was smooth. The room was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities well taken care of. It’s not a luxury stay, but it delivers what it promises – affordable, functional, and safe accommodation.
The common areas were well-maintained and inviting, ideal for catching a breather, planning your day, or having casual chats with fellow travellers. I didn’t use the kitchen or laundry facilities, but they were available and seemed well-organised.
One thing I appreciated most was how Desti Youth Park kept things simple but thoughtful. Sometimes, that’s all you really need.
Would I stay again? Yes – especially for short trips when you want a balance between comfort, convenience, and affordability.
