The location was the best part for us. It was very central in Queenstown and surrounded with many good restaurants, bars and shops. If you are planning on skiing or doing an excursion there are many pick up spots and tour operators near the hostel as well. The room was a good spot to sleep. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and they provided a nice small space heater to keep the room warm if needed. We didn't have any body wash on our first night in the shower, we reported to the front desk and they gave us a couple of bars and we were told that they would replace in the morning but when we came back it was unfortunately not replaced but we did get another small bar of soap. The remote in the room was disgusting and covered in what I imagine was at one point part of some good fried chicken or possibly pizza but everything else seemed to be fine. Check in was a little tricky because there is self check in/check out tablets at the entrance. We couldn't figure out the right combination of booking reference number and name because we had received Jucy's confirmation code in a separate email. The attendant did offer to help us out but we got the right combo at that very moment. You can pick your cards to activate them and we had no issues with this part but later that evening my card deactivated and I went to the front desk a second time to get it working on our first night. The hotel has some very good signage and arrows to tell you where your rooms are and the amenities (rooftop bar/restaurant, laundry room and kitchen area). The hotel seems to be more of a party hotel and when we arrived there was lots of drinking and people having a good time. This went well into the night and the noise seemed to travel well down the hallway from the rooms that were hosting. We could also hear our neighbour coming and going throughout the first night but it was relatively quiet between 12-6. We picked this hostel for the location and to save a little bit of money for excursions. It did get very busy in our area the first night we were there but after that we had no issues with the traffic. It was a 15 minute ride to the airport in the Uber and the bus stops at the nearby Stanley St bus hub and only takes about 25 minutes to go to/from the airport with limited traffic.

The welcome was very pleasant and the room we were allocated was indeed the quiet room we’d requested upon booking. We were upstairs with something of a lake view in a room that looked as though it had recently been re-furbished. The room was clean and comfortable and access to the car park via a set of stairs from the corridor made loading and unloading much easier than if we’d had to access our room from front reception, in what is quite a large building. There is a bar adjacent to the front entrance and a restaurant at the rear (which was closed during our stay) and I don’t know what impact they would have had upon our desire for a quiet room had they been going full swing of a weekend.

Forse ero fortunato e rimasi al momento giusto, ma se l'hotel può mantenere standard coerenti in tutti gli ospiti, sono sicuro che si muoveranno molto più in alto nelle classi dei viaggiatori. Durante il mio soggiorno, ho avuto il privilegio di rimanere in metà della camera della Regina. Non è certo lo standard che era quando la sua maestà si è rimasta qui nel 1954, ma era innegabilemente comoda. Il bagno mostrava segni di indossamento e lacrime, ma era pulito. I letti sono stati anche fatti ogni giorno e la mattress era estremamente comoda. Deve essere fatto un po' di lavoro per provare il suono della stanza, perché il traffico può essere sentito dalla stanza. È questo che sono stati forniti i piatti d'orecchio! Centralmente situato a bar/restauranti. Il luogo stesso si sente un po' innamorato e senza amore, mentre le lane erano pulite, i mattoni/baseboard non erano. Cucine e bagni sono buoni. Vibe un po' fratt/party, il ragionevolmente tranquillo e nessun malcontento. In generale, perfettamente ben e adeguato, l'albero di esecuzione della mill.

L'hotel è pulito, il servizio è anche molto buono, molto vicino al centro della città e molto conveniente.L'unica insufficiente è dare una stanza più vicina alla strada, e il rumore della macchina è molto forte.

Rimasi qui per una settimana. Era un po' preoccupante per le strutture di condivisione, perché non sapete mai come gli altri ospiti sarebbero stati, ma mi sono piaciuto di essere sorpresa. La cucina era immacolata e così era la camera da bagno/ducheria. Un cubico di bagno aveva una chiusura rotta e le porte di cubico di vetro erano un po'scivolate. Tuttavia, le docce sono in un cubico di chiusura. I puliziari sono venuti quotidianamente e raffreddati i tovaglioli in cucina/bagno. Le camere sono grandi. Abbiamo un letto doppio e un letto con un sacco di letti, anche se era solo un letto con entrambi, ma era bello avere qualcuno che metteva le nostre cose che non erano solo sul pavimento. The rooms were very average condition, but our kids enjoyed the big deck to play on. Staff werent very helpful and seemed noone knew what was going on, slack communication it seemed. I had also requested our family rooms to be close (twice) yet when we arrived we were on different floors! The man at the desk had no explantion or idea how to fix this issue. Eventually I called for the manager and she changed the rooms for the following night. The restaurant was unimpressive for the high prices also. Had much better meals in town.

We stayed here two separete nights. We booked in advance and we were nervous to book the same hostel in case we didn't like it, but fortunately we did and it didn't dissapoint at all. The recepcionist was nice and welcoming to us, everything is clean, it has several kitchens and the common room is like a huge family room with sofa, covers, TV and board games all super cozy which is the perfect enviroment to NOT have a heart attack when you find out that the borders where you are connecting home are all closed and probably you'll have to stay in NZ forever (not a bad thing tho, but I was pretty poor at that point, lol). Anyway, the people is nice, the dorm room has its own bathroom inside which is a massive YES! The lockers are huge plus there are tiny lockers with outlets inside to put your devices (genious). The bunks are hardly bunks because they are pretty solid wood-made so even if your bunkmate moves a lot you won't notice. It has a courtine which is awesome for privacy, its own night light and outlets by your bed. Maybe the only downside is that the parking lot is really (really) tiny, which makes it very difficult to maneuver, specially when you have never driven in the left before, jaja. Other than that, awesome stay, if I ever go back to Queenstown, definetely would stay here again! :)

Questi bagagli hanno fatto davvero molto memorabile il nostro soggiorno invernale a Queenstown. Ci siamo trasferiti in una delle camere familiari di secondo piano con fantastiche viste sulle Remarkables. La stanza era sempre calda con letti confortevoli, un sacco di spazio di magazzinaggio e un frigo. Ci sono state alcune cose che ci hanno detto: personale molto utile e amichevole (nessun problema era mai stato), bagni molto puliti, cucina pulita con molte cucina e cucina, cibo gratuito mercoledì sera, noleggio di biciclette gratuite (biciclette di qualità!), La zona spa e a pochi passi da tutte le principali attrazioni della città.

Right in the center of Wanaka, only a few minutes walk to the lake and restaurants, with a huge supermarket right beside the motel. Beautiful wood interior, but you must be aware of the downside as they can create wood cracking sound during sunrise when temperature gets higher, so don't be alarmed by that. The beddings are comfortable, wifi is fast and shower is strong. Overall this is a great value and convenient place to stay in Wanaka

Per un soggiorno di 2 notti non mi aspettavo di tornare dopo un lungo giorno di passeggiata il nostro primo giorno per trovare l'intera unità pulita e letti nuditi - questa non è la prassi ”normale” del motel, Ma era qui. Matt era anche super utile con la guida locale, la camminata e l'intel ”indoor”. Situato a un km o due fuori dalla ”città”, ci preoccupavamo di andare in e fuori per cena, ma non era una questione una volta che Matt ci ha detto di l'eccellente stanza Stoaker 400m sotto la strada, che era favoloso. Amanti della carne si rallegrano! E se non volevi guidare in Wanaka correttamente (solo 2 minuti di guida o un 20-30 min passo) allora ti lasceranno li' e si può taxi a casa. Un nuovo sviluppo, costruito nel 2017, si sente sia nuovo che ben stabilito al tempo stesso. È un posto fantastico per soggiornare, e tutto intorno a uno dei miei motel preferiti in un giro di 6 settimane del paese - e si', ho soggiornato in molti ... Volevo tornare in un battito cardiaco e non posso raccomandare abbastanza. Ragazzi, grazie, siete stati eccezionalmente bravi.

Very accommodating and friendly host. We were on two motorcycles and he kindly let us have the front unit with hard standing parking. He pointed out places of interest and things to do in the area. The unit was clean and tidy with plenty of space. Comfortable bed, shower over the bath but great pressure.

Chiunque legge questo recensione mi mette un brutto feedback su questo motel,ho fatto una prenotazione con loro al telefono,ma è sempre meglio per ottenere quell'e-mail di conferma che non ho mai passato a chiedere,io resterò lì per quasi una settimana, Poi ho dovuto tagliarla a due notti dovevo essere in Invercargill ho avuto qualcosa di importante, stavo parlando con una signora al telefono e mi aveva detto che era stato prenotato, quando sono arrivato lì il lunedì 15 Nov 21, Una donna non sapeva di cosa stavo parlando, quindi la mia famiglia mi è rimasta tornata a casa, ho avuto un tx quella notte dicendo che la chiave era sotto il mattino, ho detto a questa donna che ero già andata, ha cercato di dirmi che sono andata al motel sbagliato e non ho mai controllato Il segno, una cell a non è arrivata con il nome del motel, mi aveva mentito, non il miglior motel per rimanere al

There were lots of great things about this place, and at the same time it's the strangest place I have stayed in! First the great things - immaculate, amazing bed and super amazing shower. Large room, All of that was perfect. Then the not so great - nothing in the room to read about where to go for food, whether any place might deliver, wanted to order breakfast and it didn't seem to be an option. Ended up googling, then not finding the place I was looking for in Mosgiel (maybe it's shut down? It was all dark) so was happy to find Countdown and a soup for dinner with some food for breakfast. Then the terrible - they say they are contactless, which is all fine in this new world. I didn't know this before I came. As a result I didn't see a soul and as a traveller from out of town who was on her own I felt a little unsafe at having no contact with anyone (even at a distance would have been OK!). It felt a bit post-apocalyptic. I was wondering if they are scared to see people! This is New Zealand and there is no COVID in the community, so it seemed a bit over the top. I had trouble locking the door (it's a European lock and the instructions weren't enough for me), so went looking for help. Rang the door bell. No reply (there was a car outside and the lights were on). Then saw a notice saying I should phone. Did that and the recorded message said no one was available to talk to me Then got a text saying ”Please text me”, did that saying I can't lock the door. No reply. I texted again asking if someone could please help me. Then I got a text back with better instructions which worked. That was the sum contact I had. If I had a serious problem would anyone have helped me? I didn't feel safe, as it felt like there was no one who would help out at all. In this regard I found the place quite unwelcoming. If they had reading material in the room with helpful info and including some warm and welcoming words, and so I could know that someone was there and actually cared, it would have helped a lot. I would have been quite happy not to see anyone, but to know they were there in the event of an emergency. So the summary - this was the most comfortable place I have stayed in for a long time. But as a single female traveller who needed some help with the room and a pointer as to where to get food on a winters night, I didn't feel safe.

A Dunedin local, stayed here a few times in the dorms over the past few months during a separation. Great location friendly staff, so friendly. Good kitchen facilities, clean bathrooms. Love the pool house and bar downstairs to relax and chill out in. Every stay has been super comfortable and I’ve met some great travellers and have enjoyed pointing them towards Dunedin’s best attractions.
