Hotel a 3 stelle in Prefettura di Yamagata, Giappone

What a gem of a place! The special thing about this place is that there are 5 private outdoor onsens as well as a gender-segregated public bath and one mixed gender outdoor bath (for this one, you need to wear a bathing suit). If you are shy of exposing yourself or like taking photos, then those 5 private outdoor onsens are just perfect. I went in the autumn, which is cooling already and I can imagine what a treat it will be in winter with all the snow. The hotel is located almost to the top of the hill. Either drive or call them ahead and they will pick you up and drop you off in the vicinity. My room is quaint and Japanese-styled. I didn't pay for the meal package as I knew I'd would be busy trying out all the onsens available. They are all open 24hrs. By the way, private onsen number 1 and 5 are the best and most picturesque!!! I'm doing all a favor and posting all the pictures of the private onsens.

The trip was planned few weeks ahead, accommodation options in Zao Onsen are scarce. If there were other options, I probably would not go with this hotel again. - Before arrival, I called the hotel twice using trip.com but no one answered. - There was only one front desk staff handling check-in. I have waited for 20 minutes for check-in and the Indian family has it waited for 35 minutes. There was another staff coming out from the office and acknowledged the queue. However no action was taken despite the long wait by guest. - I inquired about shuttle bus service but the staff at the entrance said “No shuttle bus”. I saw shuttle bus having the hotel name around the Zao Onsen area. - On the first day of room cleaning, the cleaning lady has not replaced the used porcelain cup and Japanese cup. Also no replenishment on tea bags and toilet amenities. At this price point of over USD500 per night, I was quite surprised. - There are 2 onsen places, one outside the hotel and one on the 1F. The outdoor onsen inside the hotel was not opened and the reason is “snow accumulation”. Overall, the room is spacious and clean but the service did not meet the expectations.

Buona posizione, hotel pulito e bello tranquillo. Connesso con il centro commerciale S e ha una stazione di autobus fuori. Vicino alla stazione di Tsuruoka a piedi. Il bagno caldo o il bagno caldo era ok, un po' obsoleto. Il bagno caldo esterno era chiuso e la sauna secca era calda. Colazione va bene.

La posizione è in collina, ma un autista è sempre disponibile a venirvi a prendere ovunque sulla strada principale. L'autista è molto attento e vi confermerà il vostro arrivo nel punto esatto, anziché abbandonarvi e andarvene. L'unico inconveniente è che potete chiamare l'autista solo per tornare in hotel; non potete programmare un orario e un luogo per il viaggio di andata. Senza un numero di telefono giapponese, dovrete chiedere all'hotel di chiamare per voi. Se vi affidate a un noleggio sci convenzionato, lasciate semplicemente gli sci all'ingresso dell'hotel dopo aver sciato e verrete a ritirarli. L'hotel dispone di una vasca idromassaggio all'aperto molto confortevole.

Un posto meraviglioso per stare dentro.Il servizio era fantastico.La stanza era enorme, troppo grande per un solo viaggiatore come me, ma sarebbe stata perfetta se avessi portato mia moglie e mia figlia. La qualità del cibo era grande, anche se gli accessori della zona doccia erano un po' vecchi. Il cibo era incredibile e aveva un grande prodotto locale. Sinceramente, c'era troppo per una persona per finire! Mi piaceva soprattutto che avessero una stanza separata sul primo piano dove, se fosse troppo presto per entrare, potresti lasciare il bagaglio, cambiare e poi prendere il tuo attrezzo e la testa alle corse. Lo stesso vale se vuoi caricare un po' di più le corde il tuo ultimo giorno, lascia le tue cose nella sala di magazzino, colpisci le corde, torna e cambia, colpisci l'arco per l'ultima volta, poi vai via. Definitivamente raccomandare questo posto ai miei amici che visitano Zao.

Nice and friendly staff, within 10 minutes walk from Yamagata Station. The natural public hot bath is small but nice and serves the purpose of relaxation. Limited choice of food served in breakfast but the food is nice. Free alcohol drinks during 6-9 pm. We selected a room with a loft bed, and if you use it you need to put the bed sheet yourself.

Abbiamo avuto un soggiorno assolutamente sorprendente a Tedoso. Prima di tutto, la primavera calda è sorprendente. Non ci siamo mai sentiti così rilassati in una primavera calda prima. L'acqua calda e il tempo freddo sono completamente in armonia. Secondo, il servizio è gentile. Ci hanno sempre accolti e usciti in un sforzo molto più grande di quello che avevano bisogno. Located on the top of a business building linking to the Yamagata station. You won’t have to be worried even if it’s snowing or raining. A side note to travellers from the hotter climate, the hotel doesn’t supply air conditioning during winter. Instead it has a small webbed facility that allows outside air to flow into the room. This slight chills the room. However during the day, the room will be super hot. Initially we had a room facing the sun and when we checked in, the room is super hot. Called the customer service only to find out they didn’t have air conditioning during winter and we have to rent a fan from them. After a slight communication, the customer service is kind enough to upgrade us to a bigger room which is slightly cooler. Big props to the customer service lady! 5 stars service !

Hotel economico pulito e carino molto vicino alla stazione ferroviaria Yamagata. Situazione è il top notch! Hotel di base con tutto quello che avresti bisogno. C'è un argilla artificiale sul 14° piano, che è stato buono per un sock dopo un lungo giorno. Il buffet del colazione era di base ma delizioso.Alimenti caldi come riso, zuppa di miso, bacon, erbe di stear fritte, eccetera erano disponibili oltre a alcune pasticcerie e pane con burro e giovenche. Rimarrà certamente quando nella zona Yamagata.

Cercavo un ryokan per rimanere durante le mie vacanze in Tohoku, Giappone, e mi sono stumpato su questo ryokan, situato in un piccolo villaggio di onsen della prefettura di Yamagata. Il viaggio a questa posizione non è così conveniente come la linea di JR Riku East ha sospeso il servizio, ma JR East fornisce invece il servizio di autobus. Questo ryokan è gestito dalla famiglia Ogawaya. Sono molto amichevoli e molto attenti. Non parlano bene l'inglese, ma questo non è un grande problema per me che non può parlare giapponese. Offrono colazione e cena con un costo aggiuntivo, ma devono essere prenotati in anticipo. La posizione non è vicina a nessuna città grande. È adatto a chi cerca un posto tranquillo per rilassarsi. Molto consigliato se si desidera stare lontano dalle aree turistiche.
