From the moment I stepped into its soaring lobby, I knew this would be one of those stays that redefines what luxury hospitality means. Arrival and Reception First impressions matter, and the reception team at the Mandarin Oriental understands this with an almost intuitive grace. Jason Zhu greeted me with the kind of warmth that felt less like a rehearsed welcome and more like being received by an old friend who just happens to have impeccable professional instincts. His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty. The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort. The Mandarin Club Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people. Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. I returned to the lounge far more often than I had planned, not just for the excellent food and drink,

Il servizio è stato eccezionale. Dal momento del check-in a quello del check-out, non ho praticamente mai dovuto portare i miei bagagli. Il personale era molto cordiale. A parte un po' di confusione al check-in a causa della folla, non c'è nulla di cui lamentarsi. Hanno offerto un servizio di couverture e ho dormito così bene che il giorno dopo non mi sono svegliato per la colazione. La stanza aveva un design lussuoso ma discreto, e sebbene le strutture fossero un po' datate, erano ben mantenute. La sorpresa è stata la vista sulla Canton Tower dalla mia stanza. Gli unici due difetti sono stati l'isolamento acustico pessimo – anche ad un piano alto vicino alla finestra si sentivano i rumori del traffico e si percepivano chiaramente le conversazioni dalla stanza accanto, il che è stato molto spiacevole dopo cinque ore di treno ad alta velocità e una nottata insonne – e i capelli trovati nella vasca da bagno, che non sono stati un bello spettacolo.

Il mio soggiorno è stato il secondo a questo hotel. Solo due cose che vorrei dire sono: la connessione a Internet non è molto forte, poiché continua a disabilitare ogni pochi minuti, anche se si usa il telefono, l'altra riguarda il ristorante. Quando ero stato in questa posizione l'anno scorso, c'era un avviso nella camera da letto che diceva che il luogo del colazione è cambiato, quindi dovete cambiare gli ascensori per andare al quarto piano a causa di un riparazione. Considerando quanto velocemente si possa fare in Cina, mi ha sorpreso che questo sia ancora il caso. La colazione è una scelta molto grande e molto diversa, ma preferirei davvero un posto più semplice per la colazione senza dover navigare attraverso i diversi ascensori.

Il mio soggiorno al The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen Star River è stata un'esperienza fantastica! L'hotel si trova nel distretto di Futian, con ottimi collegamenti di trasporto, a pochi passi dalla stazione di Futian dell'HSR. Nelle vicinanze ci sono anche molti ottimi ristoranti, quindi non avrete certo problemi a mangiare. I servizi dell'hotel sono eccellenti, soprattutto la piscina all'aperto, e la vista sul centro città è impareggiabile. C'è anche un piccolo minibar in camera dove è possibile ordinare un drink in qualsiasi momento. Il personale è inoltre molto cortese. Ci tornerò sicuramente la prossima volta che andrò a Shenzhen.

Da quando siamo arrivati, l’ospitalità era calda, autentica e molto pensativa.La stanza era ben preparata, e la sorpresa di compleanno mi ha completamente toccato la guardia un bel toccamento che rendeva la celebrazione ancora più significativa. Viaggiare da questa posizione è anche conveniente con Didi. Ogni dettaglio, dal servizio all'esperienza generale, riflette tale cura e professionalità - veramente 5-star servizio in ogni senso. Acquistato con un voucher turistico e culturale del Guangdong da 1200RMB, che includeva biglietti illimitati per due giorni al Chimelong Ocean Kingdom e in più biglietti illimitati per due giorni al Water Park e un biglietto di sola andata per la barca. Si può dire che è stato un ottimo affare. Arrivati alle 12:30, la hall non era affollata e ci sono voluti circa 20 minuti di coda per fare il check-in e avere la camera. Dopo un breve riposo, siamo andati al Water Park nel pomeriggio. Gli scivoli interni erano divertenti ma non troppo estremi. Per il fiume lento bisognava noleggiare dei gommoni, un noleggio doppio costava 60RMB. Abbiamo soggiornato nella zona dell'ippocampo, molto comoda, e la camera era piuttosto grande. Ho apprezzato molto la vasca da bagno, è stato molto rilassante immergersi e guardare serie TV o chiacchierare la sera. Dal 10° piano si potevano anche intravedere i fuochi d'artificio. La mattina successiva siamo andati presto in spiaggia per vedere l'alba (anche se era nuvoloso e non l'abbiamo vista), i delfini (4 delfini molto vivaci) e i fenicotteri. Le barche turistiche partivano ogni 15-20 minuti, e con il vento non faceva caldo, permettendo di ammirare il paesaggio lungo il percorso. Anche le navette erano numerose e convenienti, partivano appena piene senza dover aspettare. Il personale dell'hotel era molto cordiale, ci salutavano sempre con un sorriso ogni volta che passavamo. Forse perché Guangzhou è anch'essa molto umida e calda, non abbiamo avvertito umidità in camera. L'aria condizionata era facile da regolare e raffreddava rapidamente. Anche il deposito bagagli era molto comodo e la chiave della camera era adorabile.

Our stay at Angsana Zhuhai Phoenix Bay honestly felt like a peaceful escape from busy city life. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm, private, and relaxing. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and blends very naturally with the seaside surroundings, creating a quiet luxury atmosphere that immediately makes you slow down and enjoy the experience. The room was spacious, modern, spotless, and very comfortable. We especially loved our room location because it was incredibly easy to step outside anytime and enjoy the fresh ocean air, privacy, and relaxing ocean view. Sitting outside during the morning and evening became one of our favorite parts of the stay. The outdoor patio and soaking pool made the experience feel even more special and peaceful, especially at night when the atmosphere became even quieter. The room amenities were excellent, including complimentary minibar drinks, coffee machine, tea selection, bathrobes, ironing equipment, quality toiletries, and many thoughtful details that made the stay feel complete and comfortable. Everything felt carefully prepared and very well maintained. Breakfast was honestly amazing every morning and became one of the highlights of our stay. The fresh colorful fruits, delicious noodles, healthy dishes, fresh juice, and calm dining atmosphere made every morning enjoyable and relaxing instead of rushed. Even though complimentary fruits mentioned in the booking were not provided in the room, we honestly did not mind because the breakfast fruits were incredibly fresh and delicious every day. We also understand why check-in may sometimes take longer because once we entered the room, everything felt perfectly prepared, safe, clean, quiet, functional, and comfortable. We genuinely could not find anything negative during our stay. Thank you and appreciation to all the staff for their warm hospitality, professionalism, kindness, and effort in making our stay memorable, peaceful, and truly relaxing. We would absolutely love to return again in the future.

Lo spazio era confortevole e spazioso, il servizio eccellente e al di là di ogni aspettativa. Il soggiorno è stato davvero piacevole e abbiamo apprezzato molto le strutture dell'hotel. Peccato aver soggiornato solo una notte! I bambini si sono divertiti un mondo in piscina e non volevano più andarsene. L'alloggio dispone di due camere da letto (una padronale e una per gli ospiti) e la disposizione del soggiorno e della sala da pranzo è eccellente! Cenare e chiacchierare con gli amici nell'area salotto della camera è stato così piacevole che non c'è stato alcun bisogno di uscire a mangiare fuori. La prossima volta che verremo a Guangzhou, soggiorneremo sicuramente per più giorni. Hanno persino assistito nel rispedirci un oggetto dimenticato in hotel, un servizio che merita assolutamente 6 stelle! 😂 Un grazie di cuore a tutto il personale dell'hotel, il cui servizio è stato impeccabile e premuroso!
