From the moment I stepped into its soaring lobby, I knew this would be one of those stays that redefines what luxury hospitality means. Arrival and Reception First impressions matter, and the reception team at the Mandarin Oriental understands this with an almost intuitive grace. Jason Zhu greeted me with the kind of warmth that felt less like a rehearsed welcome and more like being received by an old friend who just happens to have impeccable professional instincts. His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty. The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort. The Mandarin Club Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people. Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. Il soggiorno al JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai Changfeng Park è stato fantastico! La posizione dell'hotel è abbastanza buona, vicino alla stazione della metropolitana, raggiungibile in 2 minuti a piedi. Ci sono 4 linee della metropolitana direttamente, rendendo i trasporti convenienti, specialmente la linea 11 per l'aeroporto, che impiega meno di un'ora. Accanto c'è un centro commerciale, comodo per lo shopping. Questa volta ho soggiornato in una camera executive, il layout e il flusso di movimento erano molto ragionevoli, i dettagli delle strutture della camera erano ben pensati e il servizio in camera era tempestivo. La colazione aveva un'ampia varietà di piatti e l'esperienza culinaria è stata buona. Il Cheong Fun e i ramen venivano preparati al momento, e c'erano dei cartellini sui tavoli per evitare che troppe persone si affollassero in fila. Il team di servizio ospiti è stato cordiale, premuroso e reattivo. La palestra e la piscina erano entrambe abbastanza pulite. Nel complesso, un'ottima esperienza!

Ho soggiornato a Estandon Hotel a Guangzhou diverse volte, e è diventato il mio andare ‑to luogo ogni volta che vengo per la fiera di Canton. La combinazione di posizione, comfort e valore lo rende uno dei migliori hotel che abbia visitato nella città. La posizione è molto conveniente per partecipare alla fiera cantonale, con il complesso solo una corta guida o un facile percorso tram, quindi arrivare e uscire dall'esposizione è veloce e stress ‑free. L'hotel si trova in una parte moderna del Distretto di Tianhe, con facile accesso ai trasporti, alle aree di business e alle attrazioni vicine, che è ideale dopo un lungo giorno alla fiera. Le camere sono pulite, spaziose e confortevoli, con un design moderno che ti fa sentire rilassati non appena entra. Le grandi letti, buoni bagni e ben ‑ strutture mantenute creano un soggiorno molto piacevole, e le viste della città dai piani superiori aggiunge all'atmosfera generale. Ogni soggiorno, ho trovato la configurazione della camera pratica per il riposo e la cattura al lavoro. L'atmosfera generale dell'hotel è tranquilla e accogliente, che è qualcosa che apprezzo davvero durante i giorni di festa occupati. Il personale è amichevole e utile, e il servizio in aree come la ricezione e la custodia è efficiente e professionale, rendendo l'esperienza senza problemi da controllare ‑in a controllare ‑out.

Pros - Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre. - Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far). - Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes. - Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too. - Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do. After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services. - Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly. - Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi. Cons The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms: 1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms. 2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking. 3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time. It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard. I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself. Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

A heartfelt thank you to the Marriott Zhuhai team for making my birthday so special and memorable 🤍 I actually booked Marriott just a day before arriving after my original hotel contacted there's renovation on going and with kids we wanted a quiet surrounding after tiring walk. It turned out to be the best last-minute decision. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was warm, genuine, and truly thoughtful. The room was beautifully prepared, and the birthday surprise completely caught me off guard — such a lovely touch that made the celebration even more meaningful. Travel around from this location is also convenient with Didi. Every detail, from the service to the overall experience, reflected such care and professionalism - truly 5-star service in every sense. The team went above and beyond to make not just me, but my whole family feel welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay. Grateful for the wonderful memories created here. Direi che questo è il miglior hotel per visitare i parchi di Changlong a Zhuhai. I bus navetta gratuiti sono molto comodi per raggiungere i parchi di Changlong e il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. Il sistema di hotel e resort è ben sviluppato se si utilizza l'app WeChat. Il parco acquatico è un bel vantaggio per i bambini che giocano con l'acqua durante il soggiorno, soprattutto se si ha poco tempo a disposizione. La colazione e la cena a buffet valgono il prezzo, anche se potreste voler provare qualcosa di diverso se rimanete più di due notti. Nel complesso, io e la mia famiglia abbiamo apprezzato il viaggio in questo hotel e, se dovessimo visitare Changlong a Zhuhai, continuerò a considerare di soggiornare qui di nuovo. Un'altra cosa che vorrei sottolineare è che gli spettacoli qui sono belli quanto quelli di Guangzhou Changlong, ma i prezzi sono più ragionevoli.

Stavo due volte quest'anno a Angsana Zhuhai. Ricompensante esperienza e grandi colazione selezioni. Il concierge è stato più utile durante il nostro check-in all'hotel con richieste fuori. 👍👍 Il servizio in camera è stato il più reagente alle nostre esigenze. Il personale della valletta e della porta anteriore è stato più rispondente durante la nostra arrivo e quando abbiamo dovuto andare a cena durante la pioggia, ci offre anche l'hotel ombrello immediatamente. Fantastico sotto ogni aspetto! Ho soggiornato in quattro hotel a Guangzhou in questi giorni, e questo è stato di gran lunga il più confortevole. Inoltre, c'è una piscina. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è ottimo. Offrono anche un servizio navetta aeroportuale gratuito. Assolutamente consigliato a chi deve prendere un volo il giorno dopo! La stazione della metropolitana è proprio nelle vicinanze e ci sono moltissimi ristoranti dove gustare ottimo cibo.

È stato un soggiorno davvero sorprendente all'Hotel Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Futian! La receptionist è stata super cordiale e affabile, con un sorriso dolce e un atteggiamento molto disponibile. Ha risposto pazientemente a tutte le mie domande per tutto il tempo, facendomi sentire davvero a mio agio. La sorpresa più grande è stata l'upgrade gratuito della camera: un ambiente spazioso e luminoso con una vista mozzafiato dalla finestra, che ha immediatamente dissolto tutta la stanchezza del viaggio. Ho anche accennato che le tende della camera potevano essere migliorate per un migliore oscuramento, e l'hotel ha prontamente mandato del personale ad aggiustarle lo stesso giorno. Questo tipo di attenzione e miglioramento tempestivo mi ha davvero conquistato! La prossima volta che verrò a Shenzhen, sceglierò sicuramente di nuovo questo hotel. Merita assolutamente un punteggio pieno!

L'hotel è in una posizione strategica. La stazione di Taojin è a 500 metri di distanza. C'è una fermata dell'autobus all'ingresso dell'edificio della stazione televisiva accanto ad essa. Anche Taotaoju e Diandu sono raggiungibili a piedi, il che è comodo. Sebbene si tratti di un vecchio hotel, le camere sono grandi, le strutture sono ben tenute e il servizio è buono.
