Hotel a 3 stelle in Somerset, Regno Unito

The hotel was really great. It was very clean, The room have iron,hairdryer, TV, an electric kettle, and plenty of coffee and tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only problem the two days we were there the lift didn’t work , but we are Lucky our room was in first floor It was close to touristic area of bath and the train station was about a 15 minute walk away. and they have buffet English breakfast I definitely recommend

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Comfortable Stay and Great Location I stayed at the Holiday Inn Taunton and had a very comfortable experience. The hotel is easy to access, just off the M5, which made it a convenient base for exploring Somerset or stopping over during a longer journey. The room was clean and quiet, with everything I needed — a comfy bed, a good shower, and a desk area. Wi-Fi worked well, and I appreciated the tea/coffee station. While the decor is slightly dated in some areas, everything was well-maintained. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional from check-in to check-out. The breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold options, and the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere in the evening too.

Abbiamo prenotato 2 notti per un weekend di relax. Basato su essere un hotel di spa. Abbiamo pianificato di rimanere all'hotel per tutto il weekend.  Quando siamo arrivati ci è stato detto che non c'era nessun ristorante o bar che possiamo usare come è usato solo per eventi.  Abbiamo cenato nel bagno, cibo era buono, servizio era terribile.  Poi siamo andati in camera quando potevamo controllare. Il puliziatore era ancora lì. Molto scusante, molto gentile e carino. La camera era assolutamente meravigliosa. Grande bagno e soggiorno.  Siamo andati fuori e abbiamo trovato un pub per il cibo. Quando siamo tornati a rilassarci nella stanza abbiamo trovato la festa era direttamente sotto di noi e in piena vibrazione. Molto alto e rumoroso e la zona di fumo era proprio fuori dalla finestra. Sono felice di dire che tutto è finito a mezzanotte.  Abbiamo fatto colazione al 9.30. Non molto a sinistra e il colazione pieno era freddo. Quando ci siamo chiesti, ci siamo appena detto ”bene è stato là da 7” aveva appena seduto sul lato in tasche d'argento per 2.5 ore, nessun riscaldamento o opzione per ricaldare. Non era comestibile.  Abbiamo lasciato il colazione che abbiamo pagato il secondo giorno.  Poi pensavamo di passare un po' di tempo nel bagno. Ha! Beh, la piscina è piccola, non dove rilassarsi solo un paio di sedie in plastica, non un bagno di tutto. Ha una sauna molto piccola e una stanza a vapore. Il jacuzzi non ha funzionato, è solo una piscina di acqua nuvolosa con poche bolle.  Non lo consiglio, sembra che sia stato e potrebbe essere un posto meraviglioso, ma è stato preso e perso il suo solo.  Devo aggiungere il personale di pulizia e la signora alla ricezione erano meravigliosi, benvenuti e amichevoli.

Amazing value for money; simple selections of food, compact no frills chalets: could do with a bit of attention to detail with deep cleaning; decent bedding and towels, fantastic and varied entertainment generally throughout the day and late into the evening; most acts are really good. Nice to be able to set up to work remotely in the ballroom during the day and take in the fun that holiday makers are having. The Blue Coats are an engaging team. Drink prices are OK for a setting like this. We are 53 and 58 and on the younger scale of most holiday makers but whatever age, this adult only holiday park delivers quality for money hands down. Bus travels from the road outside the site to Weston Super Mare hourly during the day; beach is just a walk away down the site entrance. Taxi's are affordable if a comfi trip into town is wanted. Can imagine how amazing this establishment will be in summer (and they don't seem to hike the prices to eye watering levels during the warmer months). The range of themed weekday stays (4 days Mon-Fri) and weekend (Fri-Mon) are varied. We need to be in the WSM area for a couple of months - staying at various hotels / establishments, but now we have found Sand Bay, we have chosen to book here for several weeks back to back. For that reason, we have brought our own bedding with us, to personalise our chalet and make it more homely for our extended stay. Reception team are generally welcoming and efficient and Jade the holiday booking team member is ever so helpful. Well done Sand Bay!

Non ci aspettava. Non siamo più arrivati in nessuna parte del Regno Unito con grandi aspettative. Il re non si è deluso! Arrivò il domenica per un soggiorno notturno dopo la semifinale di sabato sera in Inghilterra. La stanza era buona, il bagno era buono. La posizione è eccellente. Andate al bar per un piatto e sedetevi nel ”giardino” della birra Foto mostra quello che abbiamo incontrato. Cottura calda, nessun tavolo posto fuori e solo un parasolino posto. Come camminare in un forno. Deciso di andare in strada. Aveva un grande pasto nel piccolo tacchino, occupato e pieno al momento che lasciamo (sotto copertura, sotto parasolini) e li diede i nostri 70 sterline. Andava a camminare e sedeva in uno dei numerosi bar del lago marino per un drink di sera. Ancora occupato, pieno e ombreggiato. Passato attraverso i Wetherspoons, ancora molto occupato e tornato al re. Vazio nel bar!! Nessuno fuori. Spero che si siano divertiti sabato sera, vergogna che non potessimo mangiare li' domenica. Molto deluso che l'hotel non abbia pulito e riposto le tavole per domenica, devono aver perso una fortuna. Poiché abbiamo lasciato lunedì, il rumore dovuto a mettere le tavole a terra e a rimettere le tavole, un po' tardi per noi. Entrambi i receptionisti erano utili, ma usavano la scusa per il calcio di sabato, non sembrava capire perche' siamo stati infelice. Se non fosse per il fatto che ti chiedono di pagare il premio, probabilmente saremmo andati via. Non siamo felici di lasciare i dettagli della nostra carta se ”spazzammo” la stanza! Veramente? Un coppia di 66 e 70 anni? Ci siamo fidati del re, chiaramente non ci hanno fidato.

Stayed at Wentworth House for one night. The location was handy — only about a 6 or 7-minute taxi ride into the centre of Bath. Parking on site was free, which is always a bonus, though spaces were limited. The shower worked fine with good hot water, and at £120 a night for three people, the price wasn’t unreasonable for Bath. On the downside, the place is very dated and could do with some serious modernisation. Our room had a noticeable damp smell and the single-glazed windows didn’t help keep the room warm or quiet. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, but overall, it’s an okay option if you just need somewhere for a night and aren’t too fussy — though a refresh would really lift the place.

This is a splendid Hotel and Spa set in the Somerset countryside near Winscombe. The Pool and Spa Facilities are very good indeed. There is a small sauna and a steam room that can comfortably allow 6 occupants. The Gym facilities are excellent and extensive. The Pool looks great though I didn't swim on this occasion. All the staff speak good English.The Bar is very comfortable with plush sofas in the Lounge area. I didn't dine, but the Dining area is large and looks comfortable. The outside area gives a beautiful view of the landscape and Brent Knoll. Nit Picks... Check in is strictly at 3pm and not before so there might be queues at that time. The corridors are confusing and first time guests might get lost. In the bathroom the Shower gel and Shampoo dispenser are in small bottles fixed to the wall by the shower and pressing once dispenses only a tiny amount. The service at the Spa was not quite right on the first night and very little was explained. It was better in the morning. My room was small, but very clean. The TV remote needed a very firm press to change channels of volume, but you get the hang of it eventually. I will stay again. The room rate by Trip com was amazingly good and better than any other Online provider. Well done Trip com. Below a picture of the landscape from the road below the hotel.

Questa è una splendida casa storica con un grande carattere; mentre le strutture sono un po' date, il panorama esterno e esterno sono super bello. Il parcheggio gratuito rende perfetto per i conducenti, è solo una corta auto dal centro della città di Bath. Il bar hotel tradizionale era tranquillo e piacevole, rimane aperto fino alle 11:00, permettendoci di godere di un drink anche dopo il ritardo da pranzo. La camera era ben grande e il riscaldamento funzionava bene; la camera di bagno aveva un bagno, anche se ci voleva un po' di tempo per l'acqua calda iniziare a fluire correttamente. Purtroppo, una falsa allarme d’incendio si è svolta a metà della notte, che ha disturbato il nostro sonno, ma poiché stiamo solo restando per una notte e usciamo presto, non ho sollevato la questione. Era una classica esperienza ”vecchia hotel” come previsto, e l'atteggiamento eccezionalmente caldo e amichevole del personale di front desk costituito per i hiccups, anche se le mie aspettative potrebbero essere più elevate se rimarrei per un periodo più lungo.

Il personale era utile e responsabile, se non sorridente. Ma, e questo è un grande ma, il letto (una materna su una piattaforma) era duro anche dopo che mi hanno dato gentilmente un piatto extra. Non ho dormito un colpo tutta la notte.
