Malesia: hotel con spa nella provincia di Penang

Le strutture, il personale, il cibo sono tutti fantastici. Ma l'unico lato negativo sono le troppe formiche Charlie, il che è piuttosto pericoloso per noi. Nel complesso è buono, con margini di miglioramento per quanto riguarda il problema delle formiche Charlie.

Adoro le vibrazioni dell'hotel. Adatto a chi ama la calma e il posto tranquillo. Tuttavia la mia esperienza negativa che ha rovinato tutto l'umore è stata quando mi hanno addebitato il check-out posticipato senza informazioni sulla ”tariffa” del check-out posticipato. Di solito alloggio in tutti gli hotel a 5 stelle a Feringghi (ho già provato tutti gli hotel a 5 stelle a Feringghi) anche a parte Feringghi gli hotel a 5 stelle non ti fanno pagare 1 ora per RM54 come Lone Pine. MI HANNO ADDEBITATO RM108 per 2 ore di check-out posticipato dalle 12 alle 14 per l'hotel Marriott. Questo è inaccettabile. Voglio sottolineare il servizio di un hotel a 4 stelle come il tuo che non consente il check-out posticipato, deve essere puntuale alle 12, deve essere informato in anticipo l'ospite. Ho fatto il check-out posticipato fino alle 14 perché prima mi metto in camera. Di solito la receptionist chiama dalle 12.30 alle 13 per informare se è possibile o meno il check-out posticipato e se è disponibile la tariffa. MA PER LONE PINE. NON chiamare e NON dare informazioni sul check-out posticipato. Quindi ho pensato che fosse ok come altri hotel a 4-5 stelle e per gli hotel sotto ”MARRIOT”. Mi dispiace perché non ho ricevuto informazioni sulla tariffa per il check-out posticipato. Il mio consiglio è per le persone che di solito hanno familiarità con i servizi a 4-5 stelle. Questo hotel non li fornisce. Riconsiderate questo hotel che non vi consente di effettuare il check-out posticipato dopo le 12:00. Dovete partire prima delle 12:00. ALTRIMENTI VI FARANNO PAGARE RM54/ORA.

Soggiorno incantevole ma da migliorare ❤️❤️❤️. Gli articoli da toeletta non hanno un rasoio, una sorpresa, il giorno del check-in non è stato preparato alcun gel doccia, bisogna chiamare la reception per riempirlo, niente bevande omaggio nel frigo (omaggio come ha detto la reception), bisogna dire al personale di mettere le bevande, la stanza in cui ho soggiornato potrebbe avere problemi di perdite, il water ha sempre avuto acqua sul pavimento, bisogna chiamare il servizio di couverture ogni volta dopo la doccia. Ho letto nella recensione di qualcuno che avevano i sali da bagno ma io non ne ho ricevuti, e li ho anche richiesti 3 volte, hanno promesso di metterli ma niente fino al giorno del check-out. Il cibo era buono, il personale era gentile, forse è solo il momento di punta per il loro hotel, comprensibile.

Unfortunately, my stay at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang was disappointing, especially considering that I paid around RM3,000 for two nights in the Rasa Wing. The hotel is clean and the staff are generally friendly, but the entire property feels extremely outdated — from the exterior and lobby to the rooms. The room had a very hard bed, an old non-Smart TV with no YouTube or modern features, and the toilet blind was not working properly, leaving a gap where people outside could still see in. Overall, the room felt like an old hotel room with very little modernisation. The Rasa Wing benefits were also disappointing. The afternoon tea and evening cocktails were average, with limited variety and quality that did not feel up to a five-star standard. The evening cocktail selection in particular was very limited and boring. Service was friendly but extremely slow and disorganised. I had requested and reconfirmed a complimentary birthday cake/decorations for my father’s birthday before arrival, but nothing was ready when we entered the room. The cake and decorations only arrived later in the evening while we were already in the room. Even the minibar was empty and only stocked later. The check-in and escort to the room were also confusing and slow. For comparison, I paid a similar amount for my stay at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, which is also an older hotel. However, the experience there was completely different — the hotel is beautifully maintained, comfortable, updated and truly feels like a five-star property. The service, room, food and overall experience were exceptional. Being an older hotel is not an excuse for feeling outdated. If Shangri-La Rasa Sayang is not planning to renovate and modernise the property, the price should be reduced. At around RM3,000 for two nights, I honestly did not feel that this stay was worth the money.

Everything is so great, the room, kids club, pool, breakfast. Eventho I only took the deluxe king lower floor, it is still absolutely nice. Room is so spacious, it is just that the toilet is a bit small. All the facilities are top notch, really suitable for family travelling with kids. Breakfast has alot of choices. I will definitely come back and stay at higher floor and maybe for longer stay.

I had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable. The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes. Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

La stanza era assolutamente bella, con un bagno spazioso e un bagno. La piscina era enorme, e tutto su questo posto era sorprendente. Ci erano anche molti specchi nella stanza, che mi piaceva. Certamente un posto dove volevo tornare.

Location: Convenient and central, near to eateries and 1st avenue shopping centre. For other, you need to Grab out. Grab is easy to anywhere. Staff: Friendly and approachable, able to provide advices when asked. Room: Reasonable size, however, I would love to have better lightings. Toilet comes with basic toiletries.

“An Absolutely Magical and Timeless Stay for the Family!” We stayed in a Family Suite at the Heritage Wing for two nights this June, and it was a flawless experience. Upon arrival, the hotel staff personally escorted us to our room and gave us a wonderful, detailed introduction to the suite. The sheer scale of the room was incredible—immensely spacious, featuring a proper living room, a cozy side lounge, two grand double beds, a massive private balcony, and that classic clawfoot bathtub. The entire decor exuded a magnificent, nostalgic vintage charm. Even the vintage lotus-shaped showerhead was exceptionally stylish! Thanks to the generous space, we felt completely relaxed and at ease throughout our stay. The food was another major highlight. The buffet breakfast offered an amazing spread of authentic local delights, including Char Kway Teow, Nasi Lemak, and Fish Ball Kway Teow Soup. We also thoroughly enjoyed the elegant canapes. It was a perfectly leisurely two-day getaway, and we will definitely be coming back next time. Highly recommended!
