The location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around. In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two. This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby. We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed. In terms of things that could do with improvement: Cleanliness The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection. The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus. Service Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way. Facilities The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side. There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub. Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered. Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

Il servizio all'hotel era eccellente, il personale era molto amichevole e accogliente. Ho avuto un snack (Fried chicken wing starter) che era anche molto buono. Non ho usato il spa per non commentare. La posizione era eccellente 9 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria. Se fossi tornato a Chester, mi fermerò di nuovo.

The picturesque setting truly enhances the overall experience. **Arrival and Service:** Unfortunately, my arrival experience was somewhat disappointing. The service upon check-in felt slow and not particularly welcoming. There was no offer of assistance with my luggage or guidance on where I could take Stanley, which left me feeling a bit lost. I expected a more hospitable reception, especially given the hotel’s reputation. **Room Quality:** On a positive note, the room was clean and well-appointed, featuring a lovely spacious bathroom that included a plush robe and complimentary toiletries such as shampoo and soap. I appreciated the mini bar, which had complimentary water, adding a nice touch to my stay. **Room Service:** One downside was the room service hours, which ended at 10 PM. I arrived at 8:15 PM and was informed of this limitation, which felt a bit early for a hotel of this caliber. It would have been nice to have more flexible dining options during my stay. **Dining:** The hotel itself is stunning, and the grounds are a joy to explore. I had breakfast at the brasserie restaurant, where the attentive staff made a significant difference. The breakfast was wonderful, with a variety of delicious options that set a positive tone for my day. **Overall Impression:** While my stay had its ups and downs, the beautiful setting and the quality of the accommodations were highlights. I hope that the service experience can be improved for future guests, as that would truly elevate the stay. I would consider returning, especially for the lovely grounds and excellent breakfast, but I would hope for a more welcoming atmosphere next time.

Questa è la seconda volta che abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel, e la nostra scelta è dovuta principalmente alla sua comoda posizione e al buon colazione. È molto vicino all'aeroporto e molto tranquillo di notte, circondato da fattorie e prati. Il buffet non è un tipico, ma è un menu con una grande varietà di opzioni, tutte di buon gusto. Ho preso mia moglie qui per il suo 60° anniversario, sorprendente receptionista di personale Charlotte era calda e conosciuta, molto gentile dandoci un segno per il compleanno. La piscina infinita è sorprendente e pulita, Shrigley avrebbe fatto molto di più se servissero bevande mentre era nella piscina, ma saremmo ancora qui. Le camere sono adatte sono pulite, la doccia è sorprendente, il pranzo per cena è stato ancora eccellente, il servizio è 11/10 e ho avuto un numero di spa il prezzo del pasto è stato davvero buono con un ottimo cibo. La colazione mattina è di nuovo pianificata per scegliere da e di nuovo gusto con grande scelta. Welcoming staff, comfortable bed and spacious room, excellent leisure and spa facilities including a relaxation suite which was true to its word, plus a jacuzzi cave, like something from Alice in Wonderland, topped with the hottest steam room ive been in for years. Pool long but jot that wide for serious swimmers.

I had a good stay with my girlfriend at The Tytherington. The only thing we were unhappy with was the food. It took about 1 hour to receive our food, and we were also told different information about the Kitchen closure time. Likely, we could give our order on time, but someone who was served after us was not able to. It seemed that on the day we visited, the kitchen staff was either short-staffed or had other issues. The staff behind the counter looked inexperienced, with only 1 or 2 who knew what to do, though they had too much to do already and couldn't assist. The view from their garden was great, over their golf pitch.

Was a fab stay from start to finish. Staff were very warm and welcoming , nothing was too much trouble. The bar and sitting area by reception is spacious. Rooms are roomy and very clean. Room are high quality and spa which you use with stay is Amazing. Was a lovely relaxing break and will definitely be staying again 🤗
