Portogallo: hotel con piscina nella provincia di Distretto di Coimbra

A superb historic property under private management and ownership - actually, in the ownership of the same family for over 400 years altho’ now a member of the Small Luxury Hotels marketing system affiliated with Hilton. The property in its adjoining Gardens are a destination in themselves, along with the nearby (400m) Santa Clara monastery. They may be sufficient for some visitors, but it’s about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Coimbra and it’s main historical area. Arthur Wellesley - aka Viscount Wellington - was a visitor during his Iberian campaign, so you’re in good company.  Staff are superb and obviously hand picked by the owner. The receptionist when I arrived (Evening of Sunday 16 February) was simply the best I’ve ever experienced, Singapore, Bangkok and Tokyo included.  Genuinely fascinating to talk to about the history of the building and some of the previous guests (famous but  ‘passed’ celebrities so no confidence is breached).  Best to stay in the rooms in the main building if possible, if tales of the previous occupant intrigue. Although the spa Is impressive – up to best Thai standards - and I guess the adjoining spa rooms may be equally good. Overall, an absolute gem that far exceeded expectations.

L'hotel è accogliente e familiare, il reception desk è amichevole e benvenuto, Fatima al reception desk è stato grande. Il buffet è intercontinentale e ha una varietà di opzioni oltre al buon gusto, il pranzo è un menu A LA carte e il cuoco è eccezionale. Non abbiamo usato la piscina all'aperto perché è così fredda, ma il Spa e la piscina all'aperto erano molto buoni ، il Jacuzzi era fuori ordine. In generale, la posizione e i servizi erano piuttosto grandi meritano sicuramente un'altra visita.

The hotel reception was poor, no effort was made to inform us of the hotel’s amenities or location of the amenities. The port wine at the reception was on display but was never offered to us or the other guests. The cleaning staff were very friendly, congratulations. The heating unit was located outside near the window of the room and was surprisingly loud. The worst of all was a male guest using the sauna and steam room while completely *****! Shocking lack of hygiene!!!

Questa è la nostra seconda permanenza all'hotel, ed è stata così favolosa come la prima. La zona di benessere con la sauna, il freddo ‑acqua dip, e la piscina calda all'interno rendeva incredibilmente rilassante. Il buffet di colazione era così buono come ricordo, e in questo viaggio è stata anche la nostra prima cena a Raiz, il ristorante dell'hotel per cena, e l'esperienza è stata meravigliosa. Questo è sicuramente il nostro hotel quando siamo a Lousã!

The hotel is clean, looking amazing. Room was big and very comfortable with great bath. outdoor pool is big with great scenery clean water - really a treat. Breakfast is OK - the usual hotel breakfast, nothing special, no vegetables but big variety of breads, cookies, croissant. This place has playing rooms (Billiard etc.), tennis court, and a LOT of public space. You need a car to go there. Recommended!

Hotel molto ben situato, davanti alla spiaggia e vicino a tutte le attrazioni turistiche pertinenti, così come intrattenimento, negozi, bar e ristoranti. Hotel con grandi strutture, spaziose camere, zone comuni ben decorate in un'atmosfera molto accogliente.

Hotel in prossimità della spiaggia, con un ottimo colazione, personale super amabile e professionale, piscina, sauna, idromassaggio e palestra. Il pranzo nel ristorante dell'hotel era top. La selezione dei vini è attenta e il vino bianco la selezione della Santa Vittoria è molto piacevole. Excelente rapporto qualità prezzo.

Voor de t****e maal voor mijn bezoek aan mijn zoon in Benfeita, heb ik met veel plezier, wederom, in Quinta da Palmeira - Country House Retreat & Spa overnacht. Ook nu weer met veel genoegen overnacht en ontbeten. Uitgebreide ontbijt en fijne service. Graag tot een volgende keer! Ap Lammers

Acolhimento agradável, simpático e eficiente. Parque para carros dos clientes próprio. Instalações modernizadas. Quartos com WC moderno e bem equipado. Sala de pequeno almoço com boa vista sobre o exterior e pequeno almoço com muito e variadas alternativas. A voltar e recomendar. Com pena e culpa minhas, não estava preparado para experimentar a piscina! Parabéns.
