One of the best modern hotels in Quito. Both for business and leisure travel. I love how they have literally thought of everything, in topics where other hotels may still fail: huge amount of electricity outlets that accommodate all types of plugs and even USB outlets, an electricity outlet in the bathroom (cannot count the amount of times I have tried to do my hair in other hotels where there is no outlet next to the mirror), the entire system of lights, curtain etc is incredibly efficient, air conditioning is silent and works like a charm, huge safe that fits an entire bag and more, the reception is welcoming, breakfast is more than ample and the rooftop has an amazing view. Last but definitely not least: the spa and fitness/pool area is a dream. When staying here, definitely book a massage at the spa! Irene is extremely professional. I have stayed at this hotel three times now and always book a treatment with her to rejuvenate after a long flight. Highly recommended!

Our small tour group styed at this hotel for 3 nights while exploring Quito. It's nowhere near the Old City but convenient to many things including a large grocery store within walking distance, a craft market and many banks. There was only one quirk with the room: it was set up so that the power was shut off unless you put your room card in the slot by the door. I'm a firm believe in not squandering resources by leaving a room with all the lights on and the A/C at an arctic setting but it also meant that anything plugged into charge did not charge when the room was vacant. Yes, I tried the travel hack of putting in a credit card instead. The maid pointedly took it out and tilted it a bit so that the power stayed off! Breakfast variety was amazing- I thought I'd dished up some yogurt and it was marshmallow cream (I should have realized it with cones nearby). Yogurt WAS available at another station. Overall a very good stay but I wish they'd find a way to keep the power to the outlets on when the room is vacant. Our tour guide recommended that we use the ATM in the Swissotel across the street- more private and people passing on the street won't see you. I HIGHLY recommend the jewelry shop in the Swissotel building (Ariu Studio, all pieces hand-made by a well-known indigenous jeweler whose very nice daughter runs the shop).

Il giorno dopo abbiamo avuto colazione, e abbiamo lasciato. Dovevamo andare in fretta all'hotel come pensavamo che abbiamo lasciato il nostro passaporto e la giacca. Abbiamo trovato il nostro passaporto profondo nel nostro bagaglio, ma abbiamo lasciato la giacca all'hotel. Erano così accoglienti. Rimanerebbe qui. Ho visto un milione di piloti a colazione!

Hotel was empty, super quiet, and very pretty. Comfortable beds. Lots of minor irritants make the stay unpleasant. If the hotel had more guests it would probably be loud - all windows open to the courtyard so you hear anyone talking there. The bathroom was designed by someone who doesn't use a bathroom. The counter overhangs the toilet so that the toilet lid cannot open all the way, it falls down if you try to open it, etc. The shower is cute, but to reach the valve you have to put yourself below the rain-type shower head. So you have to get sprayed by cold water to turn on the shower. These minor irritants degrade the experience and are not what one expects from a hotel that costs 2x other options. The included breakfast was awful. Scrambled eggs are more like an egg soup with some oil added. They had spaghetti with clams one morning that looked like leftovers from the night before - who eats that at 7am? Most of the bread baskets were empty, juices were empty. You'd think that no one was tending the buffet except there were 2-3 people standing around talking to each other. Again, perfectly reasonable for a hotel that costs $20/night. Not at all reasonable for a hotel that costs this much. Dinner was fine, but the menu is very limited and expensive for relatively simple food. Lots of waiters, not many guests. The dining area is set up in the open patio/courtyard which makes for a kind of weird experience of everyone being a little too close. One night there was a big table for a group that seemed to really enjoy itself - everyone else just watched and listened them as they dominated the room. The restaurant seems to cater to local events like family gatherings, which is great unless you are a hotel guest. All-in-all a nice-ish hotel that costs far more than it should. Clearly someone put some effort into the original remodel and since then the interest has waned. TV remote turns on the cable box but not the TV, you have to walk through the construction zone of the bar to get to your room, breakfast is gross, bathrooms were designed by aliens, etc, etc. There have got to be better options in this price class. Not sure why all these other reviews are so glowing. Perhaps first-time visitors to Ecuador who are just glad that they were not robbed?

Non abbiamo prenotato l'aereo dell'hotel. Ho incontrato l'auto dell'aereo dell'hotel per caso, e l'ho mandato indietro all'hotel.La signora è fortunata.L'aeroporto è molto vicino all'hotel. Ho seduto un aereo per decine di ore ✈️ Volevo andare in hotel per riposare. Il personale dell'hotel è molto entusiasta e amichevole. Il hall ha un grande fascino di fiori 🌹 È molto bello. Penso che resterò di nuovo a Wyndham.Prima ho vissuto anche a Hainan, il servizio è anche buono, la gestione del grande gruppo è fantastica! Per noi andare al ristorante per cena, il personale di servizio è molto entusiasta di introdurre. Il pranzo è buono 👍. Si siede davanti alla grande finestra di terra, mangiare piatti deliziosi, è un momento molto felice della vita.Spero che il miglior hotel lo faccia.

Molto personale utile e amichevole e molti parlano inglese. La nostra stanza era nella ”ala moderna” che aveva postato segni nelle hall che chiedevano di mantenere il silenzio. L'acqua filtrata era disponibile da 5-gallon gigli in molte località nelle hall. La stanza stessa era molto comoda. La zona della bagno aveva due cuscinetti, un sacco di controspazio, e separate ”sala” per la toilette e la doccia. La stanza aveva anche una cassaforte. Non c/c ma le finestre si aprivano... e c'era un fan di testa. Puoi chiudere la finestra quando dormi e bloccare gran parte della Il rumore di velivoli. Ha avuto due set di ciechi per bloccare qualsiasi luce. Il terreno era ben manicurato e attratto vari uccelli, per includere il magnifico Vermillion Flycatcher (vedi foto). Almeno tre Llamas roamò il terreno e il cazzo amico, Sylvestre, fermato dicendo il saluto più volte (lo cercammo la seconda notte). Il ristorante ha un grande menu da pranzo e ha offerto una bella selezione di piatti locali freschi.Mangiavamo due colazioni - stile buffet: frutta fresca, cereali, pane, carne fredda e formaggio più oggetti caldi (uova scrambled offered every day). Alla fine del parcheggio c'è accesso a una bella pista e alla fattoria vicina - abbiamo camminato intorno a questa zona e ci siamo sentiti al sicuro in ogni momento. Anche se abbiamo organizzato il nostro trasferimento aeroportuale, l'hotel dice che offrono questo servizio. È circa un'auto da 20-25 all'aeroporto. Per gli osservatori di uccelli c'è un'emittente eBird chiamata ”Hosteria San Jose de Puembo”.

First experience with Swissotel chain and it was quite good. They have arranged pick up at the airport. Since I got into the hotel late I did not have to wait for room. Room was a suite with a living area, large bedroom, and spacious bathroom with a walk in shower. View from the fifth floor was acceptable. Breakfast buffet was slightly better than average. They have 2 other restaurants and a bar. The hotel also has a deli and a fitness center with a pool and a sauna. Bed was comfortable. Housekeeping kept the room clean daily. Downstairs they helped arrange tours, cabs etc. Safety is a big issue in Quito and I was trying to decide between this hotel and JW Marriott. Based on other comments this was the right choice as this hotel seems to be in a safer part of town.

My husband kept raving about this hotel. Ignore any negative reviews you might spot here. Front desk staff were attentive and pretty fluent in English (although it’s presumptive to expect that wherever we travel). The hotel is on a quiet street for Quito and had double-glazed windows (unusual in this temperate climate) so it was super quiet. I got there at night and closed the heavy drapes; only in the morning did I discover there were blackout shades, too — a nice touch. Abundant hot water (not always a given in Ecuador) and a spacious room. This hotel felt very luxurious to us. The pool and workout area, which we did not have time to use, was amazingly well appointed. Breakfast buffet was pretty varied and phenomenal as well. We felt pretty spoiled staying here. When we were there the English Ambassador and his entourage were also staying there, so I think it’s considered to be a pretty good place.

It is in the middle of everything. Pamela met me at the front desk. She was helpful since she knew I had just traveled for 24 hours. The service throughout the hotel was superb. Grethel, Roberto and Germathia were all delightful with meals and directions. Daniel attended to my room needs every day. There is a shuttle to the airport which is about 15 miles away from the hotel. Fabulous hotel.
