Cina: hotel con piscina nella provincia di Fujian

This place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

This is a duplicate of my review for dates from 6 to 8 June 2026, as I extended my stay for one night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again. The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy. The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning. The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere. I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance. This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

Dopo il check-in abbiamo anche offerto uno spuntino alla frutta ai bambini. Inizialmente avevamo programmato di rimanere per due notti, ma era abbastanza confortevole. La nostra ospite Polly ha prolungato il nostro soggiorno per un'altra notte, quindi siamo rimasti per tre notti. Quando visiti Fuzhou, puoi dare la priorità a Sandi Hilton.

La camera era ottima e la ragazza alla reception è stata molto disponibile. Si poteva fare colazione a buffet e c'erano due pasti leggeri. I pasti leggeri erano noodles fritti, riso fritto e una zuppa. Per il servizio lavanderia, un robot veniva a ritirare i vestiti, un'esperienza piuttosto interessante!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. Every staff member I met was warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help, which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. A special thank you to my butler, Merry, who went above and beyond throughout my stay. Merry was incredibly attentive, helpful, and always made sure everything was taken care of. I enjoyed my stay overall. While the hotel isn’t perfect, it offers great value if you’re looking for a relaxed beach holiday away from the busy tourist areas. Location The hotel is in a peaceful area close to Huangcuo Beach and Xitouxia, with plenty of small local seafood restaurants and traditional Chinese eateries nearby. If you’re not into seafood, there are still a few other dining options within walking distance. It’s about a 30-minute walk to popular cafés like Oncebook Coffee and Snow Peak Café. Further along the beach you’ll also find beach bars such as Breeze Bar and Amoy Beach Bar, where you can enjoy drinks overlooking the ocean. Most of Xiamen’s major attractions, including Shapowei, Zhongshan Road, Gulangyu Ferry Terminal, and MIXC, are around a 20–30 minute taxi ride away, making them easy to reach. Facilities The highlight of the hotel is definitely the swimming pool. It’s clean, relaxing, and has two sun loungers, making it a nice place to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast or have its own restaurant, but there are several places nearby where you can eat. Room The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide beautiful ocean views. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, with soft memory foam pillows, and the air conditioning works very well—something you’ll definitely appreciate during Xiamen’s summer. The bathroom is modern, with a large rainfall shower that has excellent water pressure. There are a few downsides, however. The room could be cleaner, and the hotel provides disposable towels instead of regular bath towels, which wasn’t my favourite. There’s also no minibar or mini fridge, which would have been a welcome addition. Service The reception staff deserve special mention. The gentleman who checked me in was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. His hospitality left a very positive impression. Final thoughts If you’re looking for a quiet beachside stay with comfortable rooms, beautiful ocean views, and don’t mind taking a taxi to Xiamen’s main attractions, this hotel is a solid choice. Just don’t expect luxury facilities or a full-service resort experience.

Il centro di Dublino è stato molto vicino al centro di Dublino, dove si trovano le camere aperte e il colazione è molto ampio. E' stato bello che servissero la piastra di frutta e il dolce dolcezza nella mia stanza, e hanno il proprio centro spa intorno all'angolo, anche se l'ho scoperto solo alla fine della mia stanza. Allo stesso tempo, il posto di massaggio individualmente gestito presso il lobby dell'hotel era altrettanto conveniente. Molto consigliato se si soggiorna a Shishi!

Il servizio di piccolo tavolo della reception è eccellente, tutto il processo sorridente, paziente e professionale, gestire il soggiorno super veloce, e aiutarmi a aggiornare attivamente, giocare intorno, ricordare attentamente le cose, c'è una risposta al problema secondi e i dettagli sono pieni. L'ambiente dell'hotel è elegante, la stanza è pulita e confortevole, le strutture sono complete, la zuppa di salsa è molto confortevole, il servizio di Xiao Xiaogang rende l'intera esperienza più calda. Deve essere elogiato da cinque stelle. La prossima volta che vengo a Fuzhou, scegliere qui!

This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers. Definitely we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

【Recensione breve】Atmosfera sud-est asiatica vecchia scuola; snack e bevande locali tipici; prodotti da bagno Byredo con lozione per il corpo (c'è un negozio al piano B1 di MixC. Ma mi sembrava fosse La Bottega prima?); l'hotel ha una palestra, piscina all'aperto, attività artigianali del sud-est asiatico, punti per foto instagrammabili, lobby bar, happy hour, ecc. Le attività sono piuttosto variegate, e MixC è proprio accanto per shopping, film o per far sfogare i bambini, quindi è ottimo anche per una staycation. Se il budget lo permette, nel complesso è consigliato. 【Servizio】Nel complesso è rimasto eccellente. 1. La reception è stata molto gentile e ci ha fatto un upgrade a una camera ai piani alti con una bella vista; 2. Che si tratti della reception, del lobby bar, della lounge, del ristorante 101, della palestra (aperta 24 ore con card della camera), della piscina (temperatura perfetta, peccato sia all'aperto)… tutto il personale incontrato è stato molto attento, anticipando la pressione dell'ascensore, indicando proattivamente la strada, chiedendo se si aveva bisogno di aiuto se si avevano molte cose in mano, ecc. È impressionante che l'intero team riesca a mantenere questa qualità anche durante l'alta stagione estiva quando c'è tanta gente. 3. La cosa che mi ha sorpreso di più è stata che la lezione di artigianato del sud-est asiatico era al completo al momento della prenotazione del check-in, e inizialmente ero solo un po' dispiaciuta, ma il personale ci ha dato gli strumenti, quindi anche se non potevamo farla in loco, potevamo farla in camera. Questa attitudine e approccio alla risoluzione dei problemi mi hanno piacevolmente sorpresa. 4. Le cose esaurite a colazione vengono rifornite, il che è molto meglio rispetto ad alcune esperienze passate in cui erano tirchi… 【Ambiente】1. Adatto per fare foto, con un design ricercato, si possono fare foto a lungo senza nemmeno uscire. Quindi la personalizzazione è davvero importante. 2. Una volta chiuse le tende della camera, l'oscurità è perfetta, ideale per dormire. 【Ristorazione】1. Forse per motivi di contenimento dei costi, le cose nel minibar della camera sono cambiate (prima c'era anche il tè Basao, era forse un'edizione limitata?), e anche le cose nel lobby bar e nell'happy hour sono diminuite e diventate più semplici, ma la qualità è comunque buona… 2. La colazione al ristorante 101 mi sembra meno buona di prima… La zuppa di sha cha mian ha un sapore simile a quella del laksa e la consistenza delle tagliatelle non è giusta, e chiamano ‘bian shi’ qualcosa che in realtà è un piccolo wonton, e la zuppa di arachidi ha solo le materie prime ma il sapore e la consistenza non sono giusti, anche la consistenza del mian xian hu non è giusta, il che mi ha fatto desistere dal provare anche il riso salato, e ci sono anche l'hali jian e il man jian gao che, sebbene il sapore sia buono, non sono in realtà la stessa cosa… (fortunatamente ci sono sha cha mian, snack bar, bancarelle di cibo, ecc. nelle vicinanze come alternative)… Se non avessi mangiato fuori prima, questi “snack speciali” a colazione sarebbero troppo fuorvianti… 3. A dire il vero, i piatti occidentali sono tutti buoni, pane, dolci, ecc. 4. C'erano piccoli insetti nel ristorante, ne ho incontrato uno appena seduta, e poi un altro è volato dentro mentre prendevo i wonton… 【Altro】1. Spero che gli snack speciali a colazione possano essere migliorati; 2. Spero che i piatti e i nomi corrispondano (dopo aver cambiato alcuni piatti, le etichette con i nomi sono rimaste indietro. Guardare gli altri prendere cose simili a curry puff e dire ai bambini che è ‘wu xiang’ è un po' strano; l'etichetta accanto al pollo popcorn dell'happy hour diceva un altro prodotto, ma è stata cambiata più tardi); 3. Il mio amico è arrivato prima a colazione, io dopo, e quando mi sono seduta mi hanno fatto qualche domanda, e poi mi hanno seguito fino al tavolo del mio amico prima di andarsene, mi sono sentita non fidata… Qualcuno è venuto a scroccare la colazione qui prima?… 4. Su Ctrip 5 è oltre le aspettative, 4.5 è soddisfatto, 4 è abbastanza soddisfatto. Sento che 4.25 o più sarebbe abbastanza buono… Purtroppo ora tutti sono troppo 'competitivi', e capisco le difficoltà degli operatori del settore, prima ho dato un punteggio che pensavo fosse buono ma inaspettatamente ha causato problemi ad altri… Ora, senza grossi problemi, do 5 stelle di incoraggiamento…
