Very good deal for Ski in ski out!!
Room in building 4 is smaller than expected but no complaints with such discount.
Restaurants inside are nice, but heading out to the village once a while is good too. The walk to village is like 10 mins and very do-able!
We stayed here for 1 night but unfortunately the aircon in my room was spoilt, we informed the hotel staff and instead of fixing they told us to live with it and tried to struck off the matter… seriously even though we stayed only 1 night we shouldn’t be treated like that
Grazie mille.
We’re very happy to stay in this ski resort, it’s easy to access from Echigo-Yazawa station by their hotel shuttle bus. It also has direct access to ski garden/ ski centre for the ski patrons. Would like to stay here next time.
1. There’s pickup and dropoff for Echigo stn
2. No shoes allowed beyond the hotel entrance
3. Front desk have a local Japanese staff that can speak English. Pretend to be nice not. Anything else , he will tell you don’t know. Go find yourself. Besides selling tickets that he will earn money. You’ll get no information from him
4. 1st day check-in, my in room hot spring tub is slimy n dirty stained wil algae. I scrub a lot out and took video. Same Japanese man came and nothing. Till I show him the algae I’ve scrub and the video, he kept quiet. Housekeeping do scrub off within 30mins
5. Breakfast is same everyday
6. Dinner, slight changes but still 99% same.
7. Child meal is hopeless.
Stayed for 5nights, same meals daily.
8. Want to bring a cake to dinner to celebrate my Daughters Birthday, we were forbidden to do so. Nothing besides what they bring to you.
9. Onsen was good
10. Basic ice cream treats.
11. Simple ramen in the evening
Hotel is too rigid. It’s really expensive during our visits. The rules at dining and the same meals daily, it’s unbearable. Kids have nothing much to eat
For the price, I’ll not stay in this rigid property. Many other Ryokan resort for lesser price and better options. It’s not ski in ski out and yet price are too high.
Bella giornata all'aperto.
The hotel is located about 10 minutes from Yuzawa interchange by car, have variety bathroom and Japanese-style room with out-side bath are very popular.

UUtente ospiteThe hotel is on the East side of the station which we hadn't stayed before. Its quieter then the West which was nice but still close to some restaurants and the main bus stops for ski resorts. Its about a 5 min walk from the station. We arrived and nobody was at reception and even dinging the bell we had to wait a while. It is a bit of a mess downstairs in reception with the owners clutter but that has nothing to do with your stay so not to worry. We did request a Japanese room if available but nothing was ever mentioned about that and we just got a western style twin. The owner didnt know much english so we didn't want to bother trying to explain. It was clean, neat and every day we got new towels, yukata, new tea, bed made etc. There is a dry room downstairs for your skis and boots and gear and everything was toasty and warm in the morning. You leave the key in the box when you leave each day and get it back from reception once you return, though if we went out for dinner again later or to the konbini we would just keep it on us. You have your own bathroom but they also have 1 Japanese Onsen and you can use it for private and lock the door. It was so nice to have private Onsen as we have rarely been able to have Onsen together in Japan as a couple. It is also a close walk to a Lawson so you don’t have to fight the other tourists for food at the 7 Eleven on the west side. Or you can go to Matsumoto KiYoshi at the station East side. The hotel was quiet when we were there. Perhaps there wasn't many guests or maybe they were just considerate and quiet people. I would stay here again for sure but would like to get a Japanese room next time.
UUtente ospiteTravelling with my mom. Had a brilliant stay even though there were super strong winds on that night. There was perfectly delicious restaurants nearby, only 2mins away was ootoya- excellent food and service. The man who was running the hotel reception was so kind and friendly and went to extraordinary lengths to help us with our luggage and shipping to our next hotel. The breakfast was also yummy, simple flavors but wonderfully traditional japanese fare. My mom has some mobility issues too, so we were glad to see the relatively spacious room and wider than normal bath tub. 100% recommended!
One small issue with trip, not the hotel, I would have appreciated a more obvious flag out that the payment made online was a DEPOSIT. The man was quite flustered when I said I paid online already because you have to pay again when you get there then get a refund from trip after checking out. Please be aware of this when you book! But it was my oversight - although trip PLEASE emphasise these things a little more!

Uno con una grande piscina all'interno e 2 caldi e 1 freddo piscina all'aperto.
UUtente ospiteStaffs are very friendly, even though they don't speak much English, they would try their best to communicate with you.
The hotel is located on a little hill side, so there's a lovely view, one side of the room has the ocean view (see image), the other side of the room has the spectacular snow mountain view (didn't take image).
The hotel building itself believe is a bit old, so the rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated, but you can tell they try to modernize as much as they could, like very new aircon, new hairdryer (there's one old one attached to the wall which doesn't work, but the new one is in the drawer), TV etc. Bathroom is a little rundown, but it still function fine. The room key was really a ”key”, which you also have to insert into the wall and turn it for lights and electric in the room, it's quite retro and interesting, and it's the first time I've came across this kind of system.
Hotel restaurant was the same one as the we stayed in an other city, and food standard was the same - which was good.
Breakfast was superb, we loved it.
Overall the experience was good and we were happy with our stay.
UUtente ospiteThe lady at the counter was so accommodating. Provided everything we needed and was happy to help in any other way. Spoke a little English but used google translate to help. We couldn't use the dining room for dinner, I think that had to be booked in advance. There was only one or two other places open in town at 7.30pm for dinner. So wasn't many options. The room had stains all over the floor, but otherwise the beds were clean, and comfortable being on the harder springy side, and the bathroom was very clean. The onsen was amazing. The room was a good size, and had extra toilets down the hall if we needed them. The Japanese breakfast that was provided was fantastic. We only stayed one night because we were walking the next day just near there otherwise would have stayed in a bigger town, because of the limited outside facilities. But for the price and it was convenient it was good. Would stay again if I had to, but otherwise would go for a bit nicer place.
UUtente ospiteThe hotel is atmosphere with a nice blend of the old and new. It is located not too far from Uonuma no Sato and have a complimentary shuttle service to and fro Hatago Isen opposite Echigo Yuzawa Station. The room is big and there is nice heated table area. The bathroom is nice but as with traditional lodgings such as this, it can be pretty cold especially at the bathroom area in winter.
Dinner was served in a bento format at our room. I was a little disappointed that it is a not a proper sit-down meal at the main dining area instead. The bento includes two generously sized onigiri, appetizers, and four main items including a meat patty, grilled fish and braised wagyu.
The onsen bath is also quite nice and loved the bath with the snowy landscaped garden.
Service is generally good and there are snacks and drinks available at the lounge for guests. In the evening, there is also sake and umeshu available for guests.
