Un soggiorno perfetto con una grande esperienza disappunto a causa di un personale dell'ufficio frontale ”Chi*ra Bu**her”. Se volete visitare Engelberg, consiglierei davvero questo hotel, l'unica cosa su questo hotel è che non è così flessibile con alcune regole e servizi. - Un incidente! Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte in questo bellissimo hotel, abbiamo raggiunto il FO per il check-out tardivo, e abbiamo pagato 90CHF per il check-out tardivo (3:00PM) perché abbiamo fatto un sci e saremo tornati più tardi. Quando siamo arrivati intorno all'hotel 3:15PM, e vorremmo estenderlo un po' perché vogliamo pulire noi stessi e passare attraverso uno dei punti. Ho chiesto a uno dei Fo e li ho chiesti se il check-out tardivo consisteva fino a che tardi, il tipo ha risposto che è 18:00- per essere onesti con qualcuno di un HORECA, so bene anche che di solito quando paghi un check-out tardivo, è fino a tardi pomeriggio. Ma questo personale del Front Office ”Chi*ra Bu**her ha messo in e dice che il 90 CHF che paghiamo è solo per fino alle 3:00 PM. Ecco perché prima di tutto, così come il ragazzo ci ha informato che ogni ora di prolungamento dovrebbe essere 10CFH Io rispetto questo. Ora abbiamo chiesto di nuovo, quindi il 90 CHF che abbiamo pagato è per quanto ore. Ha appena detto 30CHF per ora. (Spero che sappia meglio come spiegare le cose come un FO professionale che mi aspettavo tanto come SWISS è davvero noto per la migliore scuola hotel.) In genere, nel mio sapere il checkout tardivo è calcolato sulla base del 50% del prezzo dell'hotel, ma sì forse è sbagliato quello che ho fatto. Non posso accettare come l'ha fatto. Era già in programma di tornare qui ogni anno prima del giorno del nostro controllo prima dell'incidente, ma si', per ora, cambiamento di piano.

Nominally a 3-star hotel, I believe, but a 5-star bedroom was the star attraction for our two-night stay over Christmas; definitely worth paying extra for the 'de luxe' room, very spacious with sofa and armchairs, and a stylish, well-designed bathroom. Surprising that other rooms, it seems, and all the ground floor public areas, haven't been modernised in decades, giving downstairs a quite appealing sense of faded glory. We had two excellent dinners on the good-value half pension arrangement (the first out at the nearby Engelberg Hotel as the Schweizerhof kitchen closed for Christmas Eve). Friendly service throughout, and a decent breakfast. Everything in this appealing resort town is on the doorstep, and the overall effect with snow-covered streets at Christmas is delightful.

Looking for a relaxing break in the Swiss Alos, close to the slopes, I found this little gem: a hotel, pretty rustique in the traditional Swiss way! Not far from the heart of Engelberg but far enough to contemplate the sky, see the stars and hear only the heartbeat of nature. Clean, very very clean, with comfortable rooms, not big, just comfy, most with a balcony overviewing the village. Staff, super nice and polite, ready to help and advise: had a 10% discount in my ski rental and anytime I wanted to go skiing they got in the minivan and took me to the resort! The restaurant was also nice, with delicious dishes and a savvy wine list. Not to miss! Only point I would like to note, the breakfast buffet: every day the same, not always fresh fruits available. Would like some variety and some chocolate croissants, please! Overall, a must go!

Mi pregio di recensire il Youth hostel di Engelberg, che ho avuto l'occasione di visitare durante una gita scolastica. Purtroppo, devo constatare che le camere erano intrise di una sgradevole fragranza, il wifi risultava fuori servizio e ho trovato profondamente disgustoso il fatto che i piumini e i cuscini non venissero lavati ma fossero coperti unicamente da federe di dubbia igiene. Nello scostare la federa del piumino, ho avvistato una macchia dalla strana colorazione che pareva essere un'affermazione di poca attenzione alle pulizie, per cui ho deciso di dormire senza. La puzza, purtroppo, ci ha costretti a tenere le finestre aperte durante la notte, rendendo l'esperienza ancora meno confortevole. La qualità del cibo non ha soddisfatto le aspettative, in particolare la carne consumata da me e dai miei compagni di stanza ci ha causato fastidi intestinali. L'unico aspetto positivo del Youth hostel di Engelberg è rappresentato dalla vista del paesaggio che si può ammirare dalle finestre. In conclusione, non consiglio questo alloggio a nessuno, poiché esistono certamente alternative di gran lunga migliori.

L'hotel è situato proprio al di là della stazione ferroviaria con fermata di autobus (schi) e fortunatamente ha finestre di prova sonora. Il hotel è stato ristrutturato ed è stato molto elegante, conservando il vecchio patrimonio. Il parcheggio dell'hotel è 15 - per notte, tutto bene. The management has chosen to implement 2G rule (German shortening for vaccinated/recovered), although according Federal Covid-19 order, this only applies for hotel’s restaurant/bar. This should be more clearly stated on the booking site.

Nous avons passé six jours dans l’hôtel et ont été ravis! Les chambres sont pas tout neuves (mais des jolies rénovations en cours) mais beaucoup de soin à été pris, donc parfait. Tout fonctionne super bien et la propreté est impressionnante. Les lits super confortable. Beaucoup d’attention aux détails. Le Wellness est bien soigné aussi. Mais le plus impressionnant est la gentillesse de tout le personnel. Sans exception! Impressionnant. Le restaurant sur place est très bon, les prix sont corrects. Très bon acceuil, gentils avec les enfants. Nous allons y retourner.

I booked this hotel as the price was good and reviews were very good. After staying for 5 nights I can honestly say the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much for them and every single time you see them they always would smile and speak to you and see how you are doing. I cannot praise them enough especially the lady on reception (sorry I did not get your name). The room was extremely clean and although the decor was dated (which fit the theme for the hotel so not a complaint) you could see the cleaning was extremely good and always done daily. The beds were comfy but 1 small suggestion is the sofa bed to have a matress topper as it can be a little too firm in areas. The hotel is in a great location, shuttle bus nearby to titlis or brunni or even a very short walk to the local monastery. The only feedback I would give is the hallways at night got very dark and sometimes the lights would not illuminate the stairs or hall very well. I have to say during the stay though the staff corrected this but it took a few days. Breakfast was lovely small spread but very nice. Again staff were fantastic there and would always happily greet you Thank you to the team for our stay and for sure I would recommend and stay again

Auf der Durchreise haben wir ohne Reservation zu dritt einen schönen Tisch am Fenster bekommen. Wir haben je zwei Vorspeisen bestellt. Die Kürbiscremesuppe und die Süsskartoffelsuppe mit Riesencrevetten kamen sehr heiss auf den Tisch und waren geschmacklich hervorragend. Die gedämpften Spinatknödel mit Bergkäse wie auch der Rettichsalat mit Feigen waren eine wunderbare Geschmackssymphonie, kaum zu übertreffen. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und obwohl sie viele Tische allein betreute, sehr freundlich und schnell. Das nächste Mal kommen wir mit grösserem Hunger! Die stilvolle Einrichtung hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen.
