The Lodge Red Hook

After reading some of the reviews, I will admit I was concerned. But wow. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were exactly as promised. We had a great nights sleep before walking the few blocks to the cruise terminal to start our vacation. Zero complaints. Also wanted to add, we walked up the street to Wraptor for a cocktail and what a great place as well. You can see the people are trying to revitalize the area. We will definitely be back anytime we cruise out of Brooklyn.

I was given room C14. Unfortunately it is right opposite the elevator and the storage room. Whenever the staff would collect the carts and cleaning supplies they would talk to each other loudly. I personally didn’t care because it only happened during the day. It was really quiet at night. I’m mentioning it because I think some people might be bothered by that, so if you get C14 keep it in mind. The breakfast was okay. It’s from 6:30 - 9:30. I went at around 6:40 am and it was not too crowded. Definitely got more people around 8 am. The breakfast area is on level C so it was another noisy area. I got lunch at the Wraptor Bar and Grill. It’s very close to the property. The prices are okay and the food was good. There are other dining options within a 5-10 minute walk. The biggest reason I liked this place is the proximity to the cruise port. Took me about 14 minutes walk to get to the cruise port. If I sail out of Brooklyn Cruise Port again I would definitely come back to this place.

Cruising out of the Brooklyn cruise port which was a short walk from both the subway and the port. Staff was courteous and helpful on dining and enjoyed the continental breakfast. Nice as always to have coffee and water provided!

The property was quiet and my family and i felt safe. Convenient parking. There was no iron in the room, had to contact front desk to obtain one. Hotel wasnt walking distance to the subway station. Had to uber to the station. Overall nice accommodations.

I loved staying at The Lodge! Red Hook neighborhood is one of my favourites of the five boroughs! The staff were friendly and accommodating and the location and price was excellent! Only a 15 walk to Subway! Will be booking again!

We booked this hotel to be close to MSC port that was the only good thing about it. It is away from everything so nothing close to walk to. Our room wasn't ready at 3 many of us were waiting for room. Breakfast was ramen, dry cereal, few breads. For the price it wasn't truly worth it. I would rather stay in Manhattan.

Staff were awesome and so helpful. Nice quick breakfast. 15 min walk to subway system into Manhattan.

The best part was that it was walking distance to the cruise port. As long as the weather is decent and you can reasonably manage your own luggage for about a 10-15 minute walk, you can save so much time compared to the gridlock traffic of cars dropping off passengers. The hotel was nicely appointed, comfortable and friendly front desk staff. We had filled out our registration ahead of time and downloaded the app for keyless entry. We requested an early check-in since our flight landed at noon and agreed to the $10 upcharge. To our surprise, they had real keys waiting for us, and we could head right to the room! Breakfast was basic, but got the job done. Shortish walk to a subway station if you want to check out the city. We Ubered back since we were not looking forward to a long train ride and then more walking after a very long day. We would absolutely stay here again if cruising out of the Brooklyn terminal or have business in the area.
