I stayed here while on a business trip. The staff are friendly and professional. The location is very convenient and although the hotel is next door to the theatre being renovated there is very little inconvenience to hotel guests. I think they should have a fitness centre. There are parks nearby ideal for a good walk or run. The hotel is older but clean and comfortable.

The rooms need some renovation . Housekeeping was poor—during our 4-day stay, the room wasn’t cleaned and toiletries weren’t replenished. Overall, the experience could have been better.

This is a very good place and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery place. Quiet, clean and well equipped. Staff members are very helpful & friendly. Highly recommended!

I had a very pleasant 1-night stay at The Waterloo Hotel in Tasmania. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the bed was extremely comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning sea view from the balcony. Waking up to the beautiful waterfront scenery was truly relaxing and made the experience even more memorable. What stood out most was the excellent hospitality and service from the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The hotel has a warm and relaxing atmosphere, and everything was well organized and thoughtfully managed. Although my stay was short, it was a memorable one. I highly recommend The Waterloo Hotel to anyone visiting Tasmania and would be happy to stay here again in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended!

Not bad hotel. But there were no tea bags, no milk. Cutlery looks extremely poor. All was from different set, some from hiking set. Also a lot of dust on the bathroom lights. To fix these problems will cost almost nothing, but it will improve the impression. And the final problem is parking. If you return late, there will be no parking place for you.

The location was so close to Port Arthur Historic Site. We had an early night after having dinner there as they have a bar and restaurant on site. Dinner was good, service was great. Food came within 30 to 45 minutes wait time. We needed to use the laundry service onsite, and the cost of 4 x $1 coin to operate washer and same price for tumble dryer. There was not enough site parking near our room so we had to go right to the end and park at overflow parking. Internet wifi was available but very slow. The shower was a very tight space with a shower curtain enclosure. Toiletries like hair shampoo, soap bar, body wash and conditioner were supplied. Beds and towels were all clean and up to standards. Great for a one night stay for family.
