Receptionist asked for our parking ticket, but because of the language barrier I couldnt tell if he was going to offer us a subsidised rate for parking. Also that was after we had already parked in a multi-storey carpark directly beside the hotel. Might be worth asking them where to park beforehand and what the rates are.
Molto bel posto, molto consigliato:
- personale polite
- molto carini animali dell'hotel
- bella e privata primavera calda
- hotel vicino ai luoghi di vista
- cena e colazione molto piccoli
- prezzo ok
- abbastanza parcheggio
The location was great, near the Miyazaki JR Station. Clean and big space however I noticed the sofa pillows are not in good smell. It’s like a sweat smell. Their amenities are in the lobby and you need to get on your own. Overall it was nice staying in this hotel. Maybe I’ll book again.
The room was small but serviceable and immaculately clean. The staff was friendly and helpful overall in spite of a severe language barrier. None of them spoke much English and I don't speak any Japanese. The only disappointment was that I asked them to call a store to confirm something on my behalf and they refused. They were not busy at the time and it would have taken all of two minutes to assist me with that. Breakfast was pretty basic, but good and filling.
Love Ryokan ShinSen very very much, we are very very enjoyable! All staff are very friendly and helpful. Amazing Chef Cooking on dinner and breakfast. Very full each meals. Nice room with Spa. This price all worth it. I would recommend to friends if they go Fukuoka

Molto buono
NNoah Shi HernI got the private onsen Japanese style room. It was the most pricey option, and was a little dusty, but it had an amazing view and was spacious. They provided a total of 4 sets of futons, and came to set them up for me every evening. I was personally a little creeped out by the (harmless and common) bloodworm larvae in the private onsen, but it didn't take away much from the amazing experience of soaking in the onsen with the view of the Pacific ocean and Aoshima Island (also you can set the temperature of the Onsen to your liking by mixing the hot and cold spring water)
The service in the hotel is good! The staff are helpful and tidy up the rooms very well, even refilling my room's ice cold and hot water jugs and all toiletries daily.
I don't understand what the others were saying about the basement onsen being musky and mouldy, because it looked and felt really clean and comfortable, I think it must have been recently renovated, from how new and clean it looked! The rooftop onsen was as good as the reviews say they are :)
The hotel is located in Aoshima, which is located in between the city area and the southern towns of Miyazaki (such as Nichinan, where you can see the beautiful Udo Jingo shrine), it's about an hour's journey via public transport, but travelling around the area will be much more convenient by car. There are many food options nearby, but as mentioned, only a few will be open past 8pm!
Overall, the private onsen room is a great experience for the cost, and if I have a chance, I'd book the same room again!
TTatianaK.From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all staff of the hotel. My 11-old son and I stayed there for just one night, because we were on our way to visit gorgeous Toungenkyu hydrangeas park in the other town, so we chose to stay in Hyugashi, and that was definitely the right decision! I didn’t know that there was no public transportation assess to the park, because it’s located far upon to the mountains. But I never give up So, I decided to get to the park by hitchhiking! And one of kind managers of the hotel wrote the name of the park in Japanese characters on a big sheet of paper to be seen from far apart for drivers. Besides, he told us where it could be possible to stop a car. So we did it! First, we went to the nearest town by train, and tried the hitching there. There was a nice lady who took us to the park and back to Hyugashi, we were so grateful to her!!! The local people were kind to us everywhere whenever it was a restaurant or a station. We will never forget the kindness of the local people!!!
We liked that izakaya on the first floor in the building. Moreover, we liked that nice quiet town Hyugashi because of its people! We wish you all the best!!!
MMeiDeeServizio amichevole e alloggio pulito.
UUtente ospiteI only stayed here one night passing through Miyazaki so I can’t say much about the location. It wasn’t too far of a walk from the train station & there is a convenience store close by. Easy check in process & lots of amenities. My room looked clean but had a really bad smell I couldn’t get over & it kind of turned me off to staying here. Besides that everything was good.

UUtente ospiteAmazing location with spectacular view of aoshima. 3 mins walk to the beach, 10 mins to aoshima shrine. Bus stop to sun messe and udo shrine is right outside of the hostel. Value for money. Very good customer service. Gave guest a room tour on arrival. Female dormitory available with a separate key to lock the door and guest can use their locker. Feel very safe and secure. All the facilities are very clean and well maintained. The hostel also comes with onsen at 700 yen per admission. This is not related to the hostel but a tips for travelling. Dinner is tricky at Aoshima because almost all restaurants would require reservation. Book early.
