I had a pleasant stay at Art Hotel Kagoshima. The hotel offers a beautiful view of Sakurajima, especially from the rooms facing the bay — waking up to that scenery was truly memorable. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the overall service felt professional and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was cozy, and the room layout made good use of space. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a nice selection of Japanese and Western dishes, and the restaurant had a lovely view as well. The hotel’s location is convenient — just a short drive from the city center and ferry terminal. Overall, Art Hotel Kagoshima is a great choice for travelers looking for comfort, good value, and beautiful views of Sakurajima. I would be happy to stay here again.

Hotel in ottima posizione, vicino alla stazione di Kagoshima-Chuo e al molo dei traghetti per le isole; il tram passa proprio di fronte. Hotel molto elegante con servizio a 5 stelle, personale attento. La camera è compatta (non adatta a bagagli di grandi dimensioni) ma molto ben arredata, con tutti i comfort essenziali. Colazione di ottima qualità a un costo aggiuntivo, ma un po' cara (2200 yen). Biancheria da letto di buone dimensioni e confortevole. Camera perfettamente insonorizzata e climatizzata. Nessuna finestra in camera, tranne in bagno (che non si apre). Bustine di tè disponibili alla reception.

Questa è la mia prima gita di svago nel 2025, una gita di buona esperienza con mia moglie. Una moderna e confortevole sala lobby ha offerto un bel posto di caffè per un facile colazione prima del mio viaggio di giorno. Il giorno finale ho goduto del colazione a buffet completo e la staffa è stata molto utile con questo dato alle persone un bel giorno di inizio. Ossen mi ha dato un rinfresco quotidiano e mi ha reso energico, mi ha rilassato anche come un fine felice. Ho dimenticato il personale femminile che ha ricevuto il mio frutto la 14Jan notte. Lei e il suo collega ci aiutano a preparare il frutto che ha comprato fuori. Era il mio bel dolcetto quella notte. Un altro signore memorabile su 13Jan durante la notte, mi occupavo di qualche business durante la notte improvvisamente. Quindi, sono sceso al lobby per completarlo. Mi ha avvicinato per assistenza e mi ha offerto aiuto per il servizio WiFi. Per la progettazione del lobby, questo è molto grande per localizzare il desk front verso l'ingresso principale e la linea più avanti per accogliere gli ospiti. L'equipaggio di FO deve prestare i servizi più professionali e coerenti. Soprattutto il clima freddo, mantengono un'immagine buona per mantenere professionisti. Il conducente di autobus è stato gentile a prenderci cura ogni sera all'hotel. Per la prenotazione della stanza, abbiamo scelto la stanza con una bella vista Sakurajima e potrei godere il mio caffè per vedere il sole sorgere. Raccomando questo hotel ai miei amici.

So surprise the entrance of hotel is inside the station. This is even nearer than JR hotel at Oita. So convenient!! Their breakfast is good too but a bit expensive at 1980 yen which is same at Oita. With lots of eating places around and of course the ferry wheel not to be missed. Got the CUTE pass at tourist centre to take bus to City Aquarium / port for ferry to Sakurashima to view volcano. Spent around 4h from hotel and back to port for the trip only as we didn’t stop at all bus stations in the Sakurashima. Glad to try the longest leg bath there. Watched few mins of free dolphin show at the canal of the port too. Took tram back to hotel to rest. Then went for ferry wheel and took bus to tenmonkan to visit donki. Back to kagoshimachuo for dinner at 7pm and rested for the day. Really very super convenient place / city. By the way only 2 washer and 2 dryer in the hotel North Wing, so if you need to do laundry do plan else long queue.

I like this hotel. I've stayed here for 2 times. They provide a free transfer from and to Railway station and a city centre. Very good onsen with a scenic view on Sakurajima. You can also rent a bike here in the hotel for a reasonable price. Convenience store is right by the hotel.

A new hotel with excellent location. It’s just next to the shopping streets with lots of restaurants & souvenir shops. Got amenities such as bath salt, tea bags, drip coffee & cleansing oil/ lotion at hotel lobby for you to pick up. The restaurant where you take breakfast commands a stunning panoramic view. Will stay here again.

Excellent stay. Location is perfect, directly opposite Kagoshima-Chuo station, with views over the station plaza. Spotlessly clean, and excellent service, as you would expect from a good business hotel in Japan.

Bel posto ma le strutture sono buone ... Non il migliore, ma non si lamenta del punto di prezzo

Questo hotel perfettamente per le nostre esigenze - però la stanza era piuttosto sporca, soprattutto il bagno! consiglio alla squadra di pulizia di guardare un secondo la prossima volta che puliscono i bagni, spero che non tutte le camere sono come questo!

Questo hotel offre un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Lo consiglio vivamente alle persone single. Nelle vicinanze si trovano minimarket, supermercati e centri commerciali. Anche i trasporti sono comodi. Le camere sono pulite e al primo piano troverete un'area fumatori e una lavanderia.
