Il personale di sera dove non c'era nulla da vedere la sera, che avevano un segno alla ricezione che dicevano che erano al bar e un segno al bar che dicevano che erano al ricevimento. La sera dopo siamo andati a bere al bar, mentre le finali di rugby erano in corso. Molte persone cercavano di bere, ma il personale del bar/ricevimento non era ancora intorno. Finito di lasciare aspettare senza essere servito e tornare in camera nostra. Molto deluso dal servizio. La stanza e la posizione avevano tutto quello che avete bisogno, ma non abbiamo avuto lamentele in proposito.

A last-minute getaway for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. A friendly and helpful welcome from Laina and Dennis awaits you. The rooms are immaculate, the bed is comfy, and we were lucky enough to have a bay room that looks right out over, well, the bay. The breakfast is excellent, tasty, well cooked, a good variety (including fried bread!!), and it really sets you up for a day of exploring. Our only downside is that we only got to stay two nights and wish it could be longer. We will certainly be returning and look forward to staying for longer next time. Thank you to all the team, Darren and Gill.

This hotel is in a desperate state. Rooms are in need of a complete refurb . The carpets are threadbare, bathrooms dirty and damp , lounge looks like something out of the sixties. Breakfast was awful with eggs floating in oil , bacon half cooked and one poor waitress trying hard to cover the whole dining room. I had no sleep due to the noise off the Main Street and single glazed windows in rotting frame. Also had a window cleaner banging on the windows at seven in the morning. In summary an absolute tip .. don’t waste your money.

Thank you to everyone at The Royal Esplanade Hotel for a lovely event. We had my Dad’s 80th birthday party there yesterday & it’s was perfect. We had the large room, alongside the bar, plenty of space & great layout. The food was good & loads of it. But what really made it was the people working, who made everything run smoothly, thought of the little things, even providing some decorations, sorting out a speaker for music & cake stand etc and most importantly were super friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Dad had a great time, so thank you. I would definitely recommend it for a party venue.

The breakfast was really good, our room whilst small was comfortable enough and most importantly clean. I was pleased that the shower had decent power and warm water. The room was quiet, although on a Saturday night you have to accept that a pub with entertainment is going to have some noise and the drag queen was very good and finished at a reasonable time). Location is great, we got the No.5 bus from Newport (15mins and literally stops at the pub door!) and literally cross the road to Osborne House. Evening food is not available but they recommended the Victoria Tavern which did tasty food with friendly service about 15mins walk away. A few things we would suggest for improving is teaspoons in the room and it to be clear that the pub is actually closed until 3pm in the week, rather than just this being the check in time. This is totally on us for not getting in touch, but we did try to leave our bags around 1130 before going to Carisbrooke Castle (understanding we wouldnt get to go to our room) but it was locked up. Not their fault, but something to be aware of if you want to do the same.

Arrived Thursday evening went to the bar and booked in. There is no Inn parking and the best I found was on West Cowes promenade which is only a minute from the Inn. Tip - while you have to pay a surcharge to use the PaybyPhone app, if you buy parking on it before 6pm and it expires after 6pm, you AUTOMATICALLY get overnight parking until 10am added on. Nice! The barmaid wasn’t busy and happily took us up to our room and answered questions we had. We asked if they were serving food and yes they were however we didn’t end up eating there during our stay. The room was really nice and quiet. Most rooms have a second door off the landing further ensuring noise is at a minimum (was in room 1). Clean and well decorated with the odd signs of use you would expect. The bed was enormous and took up most of the room, but was comfortable to sleep on with clean linen, double pillows and additional al cushions. The draws and other furniture were ‘vintage’ but worked well and did what it was supposed to. The bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water. In the room was a small fridge with milk in, juices and bottled water. Tea and coffee were available along with a small kettle and some chocolate wafers. There were all topped up daily, free of charge. Large tv on the wall. We did have problems with the TV but managed to sort it by turning it off at the plug (above and behind the TV) for a few minutes. WiFi was available however we were not able to get it in our too. But was available on the landing and in the bar itself so no big deal. The room was serviced to a high standard every day by the due sly housekeeper. I don’t know why people complained about breakfast on here, yes it’s all laid out on the landing table, but there were at least 5 types of cereal, fresh bread, crumpets, and poptarts (if they’re your thing) for toasting, various breakfast bars, jam, fruit etc. more than enough for a filling breakfast and you can help yourself to as much or as little as you’d like. There was also a tassimo machine with a range of coffees, just may have to fill it up at times. No big deal. For the price of the room and a continental breakfast I was more than happy to stay and would return again if staying on the IoW.

Erano amichevoli e utili, felici di condividere informazioni su ciò che doveva fare sull'isola, e hanno preso il disturbo di organizzare il nostro traghetto - anche di arrivare a un passaggio successivo quando abbiamo deciso di rimanere un po' più. L'hotel stesso era in un ambiente così bello, la vista è incredibile e il sole splendeva in tutta la nostra stanza, quindi abbiamo fatto uso dei giardini per bere il caffè al mattino e la piscina all'aperto al pomeriggio. La nostra stanza includeva l'accesso alla vicina China Shanklin, che ha dato una bella e facile (a prescindere dai passi) percorso verso la spiaggia. La stanza era pulita, i letti erano confortevoli e la decorazione era buona. La TV ha avuto opzioni per collegare le piattaforme di streaming, che era utile. Potrebbe essere stato bello avere un frigo e una sicurezza nella stanza. Colazione è stata grande, con una selezione di cereali, pasticceria e frutta, così come colazione cucinata. Il Benedetto delle uova era particolarmente delizioso. Il pranzo era buono, anche se si sentiva un po' prezioso per quello che era. La serata era da una macchina e purtroppo non era molto. In tutto, ci piaceva davvero il nostro soggiorno e ci consigliereremmo molto.

Good and bad, booked nab room for my birthday and anniversary, when we arrived at 4.pm ish went straight to nab room, omg it was freezing, couldn't work heating, husband went and asked how to work it and they didn't know but 30 minutes later heating came on, well slightly, 2 thirds of radiator didn't work, room very big and lots windows, never have I spent the evening in my coat and scarf in a hotel. We were both very cold. Went for booked meal which was good and had glass of free procecco each for our celebration, which was nice. Got back to room and still very cold,still cold in night and morning. Room was OK but needs a bit off TLC. Great views. Good breakfast but ordered poached eggs and crispy bacon chef forgot bacon and had to wait. Think the place are concentrateing on bar and food. Staff and manager tryed but not sorted, not really good enough or of place to go in winter time.

Medehamstede Hotel,we knew it was not the best,but it was very clean, and had good hard working pleasant staff.Great food with large portions and variety.Rooms were a bit dated and the p.v.c. windows were badly finished.The bathrooms were new with a good shower. Entertainment was good but only for two of our 4 nights.Girls were not happy with no bingo,every night we were there.Barman was quick and polite,but prices were on the dear side.We will go there again.
