I had a lovely big room and huge bed , which was comfortable.
Large picture windows with view of river & town over the bridge next to the hotel.
Room had all the usual amenities- kettle, mugs,, tea, coffee, sugar & milk. Shampoo & bodywash in bathroom, hairdryer. Box of tissues in bathroom.
The bathroom has a good size cubicle and good pressure in the shower.
I did not use the in house restaurant, so cannot comment.
The bar was good and there was a water dispenser on the counter..Great for filling up my water bottle for the day.
So lovely to walk out of the hotel and over the bridge to the town, including the excellent museums, or walk along the paths on either side of the river.
Only slight downside was the route down the stairs was a bit convoluted, but there were lifts of course.

No issues checking in. Clean and tidy place. No issues with room, beds very large and comfy. It was very quiet when we stayed family of 4. I requested 2 rooms next door to each other and request fulfilled. Water pressure excellent for showers. Have pool sauna, gym, unfortunately we didn't try these facilities. Do check breakfast times, we thought breakfast was served until 11am but was mistaken. Got to restaurant at 10am and were closed. Luckily, a staff member from reception managed to get us some pastries and yogurts, very kind! Accommodation is within the Cranfield University campus and near Cranfield Airport.

I had a fantastic stay at Thistle Express Hotel Luton! From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that made it easy to relax after a long day. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary refreshments and the strong Wi-Fi, which made my stay even more convenient.
The location is perfect—right in the heart of Luton, close to shops, restaurants, and transport links, making it ideal for both business and leisure travellers.
Overall, Thistle Express Hotel Luton offers excellent value for money with great service, comfort, and convenience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Luton!

Alloggio eccellente e conveniente. Tutti grandi alcuni aggiustamenti per rendere questa posizione eccellente sono in grado di modificare la mia prenotazione invece di nessuna politica di cancellazione anche check out tempo estensione a 11.00am invece di 10:00am anche il domenica anche colazione Domenica mattina il servizio termina alle 9:30 a questi pochi aggiustamenti aumenterebbero la popolarità per questo alloggio.

Personale gentile e disponibile, letto comodo e camere di buona qualità. Ottima posizione per raggiungere la stazione DART di Luton Airport, a soli 2 minuti a piedi da Luton Airport Parkway e dalla stazione DART di Luton.

Tuttavia, l'hotel deve essere un po' più trasparente con la situazione lì atm come io lo capisco completamente e lode loro per farlo, tuttavia non rendere i clienti pagatori consapevoli che questo è perché i bar non sono aperti o servizi di colazione / cibo non sono disponibili Il Parlamento europeo ha deciso di ridurre il numero di persone che hanno lavorato per la loro occupazione, ma non ha potuto ridurre il numero di persone che hanno lavorato per la loro occupazione.

Room clean and tidy. Unfortunately a couple of lights were not working in the bathroom so made for a bit of a palaver trying to shower in almost darkness.
The breakfast was good with lots of choice, sadly the coffee in the machine wasn’t of good quality and was very bitter.
The staff were very polite, friendly and professional.
Overall, would choose to stay again.

Great location for a early escape to Luton airport or late flight in. Have used them a few times because they have the best food on site compared to other local hotels so I find them the best overall value and experience. Reception staff very helpful and offering room close to lift or quieter away from it. Pleasant room and good value for money. Highlight is their breakfast, incredible buffet breakfast and the top choice if you have a late flight arrival and time to stay and enjoy it in the morning.

Ottima sistemazione. Comodo come punto di appoggio appena arrivati a Luton, soprattutto arrivando in tarda serata. Gentilissimo lo staff, essenziale ma completo nei servizi. Vista la vicinanza dall’uscita dell’aeroporto, lo abbiamo raggiunto tranquillamente a piedi.

UUtente ospiteI booked and paid for a superior room based on your offer, as I have stayed in this room before. However, I was given a shabby, small room, number 14. It seems rooms 14 and 15 are reserved for guests you no longer wish to see. The explanation from the friendly receptionist was that the hotel was fully booked, which was not true. She tried to make up for the situation with a practical gift from Champneys, but the claustrophobic room and the difficulty of accessing it with a large suitcase after a long journey were unpleasant. The hotel incorrectly judged me based on my attire, even though I intended to use their facial massage services, which were very professional, as were their massages and the products they use. Everything that was old seven years ago is now seven years older and even more worn out. Breakfasts are modest but healthy. They could use more fresh herbs, which they once grew in the spa gardens, now overgrown with weeds. Guests leave their plates and glasses on the lawn, and no one picks them up promptly. The spa lacks organization, except on weekends when older women step in to help, solving problems more quickly and efficiently. I am disappointed because it is not fair to deceive customers regarding room types. While the room lacked nothing and was regularly cleaned, it was next to a smelly toilet, and I was promised a superior room but given a standard one, as indicated on the temporary card received upon arrival. However, I must commend the lady who has diligently worked there for 30 years. It would be nice if she were friendly even when not promoting their services. If improvements are not made to the facilities and surroundings, there is no reason for me to return specially after the room switch and no difference in the price.

The staff at the hotel are exceptionally friendly and helpful. When I first checked in, I realised I had accidentally booked an accessible room — which was enormous and very, very clean. However, because it had a connecting door, someone in the neighbouring room tried to open their side, which completely startled me.
When I went downstairs to mention it, the staff didn’t hesitate at all. They immediately offered to move me to another room where I wouldn’t have the anxiety of hearing someone try the connecting door. It was clearly very safe, but I really appreciated how quickly and kindly they responded.
I had dinner at the hotel restaurant — the food was fairly average and a little on the expensive side, although the atmosphere was lively and, again, the staff were very friendly.
One downside is that the walls seem quite thin. Around 12:30am a group checked in and were talking loudly in the corridor for about half an hour, which woke me up. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend bringing earplugs. In fairness, I didn’t call reception at the time — and based on how helpful they were earlier, I suspect they would have dealt with it quickly.
Checking out was easy, and I walked to the airport in the morning. It’s actually a very straightforward walk — especially once you get past the roundabout and go under the road. I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you have an early flight from Luton.

UUtente anonimoWe loved our stay here! It’s a very well designed hotel, with a special history and lots of unique touches throughout. Our room overlooked the river, and had all the usual things you expect from a nice hotel plus some excellent artworks. The only thing to note is that even though this is a spa hotel, the spa isn’t included in the hotel rate- we hadn’t realised that that needed to be booked separately. There were no issues fitting us in though!
