Great experience. Enjoyed the friendly chats in the morning and the room was so comfortable. My husband and I stayed in the restoration suite which was perfect for us with ample closet and drawer space. Very good sized bathroom. The breakfast consisted of instant oatmeal, yogurts and cookies or muffin tops. Not a bed and breakfast fare but perfect for us as we wanted to head right out the door in the morning. Chips and cookie snacks along with tea and coffee in the dining area. The best part ---- location! We parked the car and didn't need it again till we left. The Colonial area was a 10 minute walk and a 15 minute walk to the art museum. Plenty of restaurants and ice cream parlors all around! Can't wait to go back.

Il manager di questo hotel era meraviglioso. Mia moglie ha lasciato i vestiti nelle tasche per errore. Abbiamo scoperto quando siamo tornati a casa e abbiamo sbagliato il bagaglio. Ha chiamato il manager e era così gentile. Egli è andato in camera nostra e ha preso i vestiti e ha usato UPS per rifornirli. Non posso dire abbastanza buone cose sulla sua generosità e la sua disponibilità a fare il chilometro extra per i suoi clienti. Il nostro soggiorno era anche grande. Non ho mai affrontato niente di simile prima. Controllato venerdì. Nessun parcheggio disponibile. La persona del dipartimento frontale consigliava agli ospiti di parcheggiare nella pista di incendio. Risci di costruzione, contenitori e attrezzature in parcheggio. Lavoratori di costruzione bevono (partite) in parcheggio. Le scale sono piene di utensili da costruzione e mobili d'albergo. La carta trasparente è stata incastrata sulle finestre della stanza che non hanno bloccato il parcheggio e segnato illuminazione dall'esterno. L'ascensore ha fermato il lavoro e la persona di manutenzione ha dovuto aprire la porta all'area di manutenzione in modo che l'apparecchiatura dell'ascensore non si sovrariscaldasse perché non era adeguatamente raffreddata. Il doccia non funzionava sabato mattina. Tornò sabato pomeriggio e la doccia non era stata riparata. La persona del servizio frontale è venuta in camera e ha verificato che non funzionava. Ha detto che mi avrebbe contattato per una risoluzione. Non lo è mai stato. La prima domenica mattina, e mi ha detto al dipartimento che la questione della doccia non era mai stata risolta e non avrei pagato. Credo la nostra carta per il pieno importo. Poi mi ha pagato la carta per un altro importo. Eravamo li' per un torneo di calcio. Non essere in grado di fare la doccia o di dormire tranquillo è stato un problema enorme.

Because we enjoy golf, this was an excellent place to stay. We golfed the gold course twice and the green once. We enjoyed a few meals at the course as well. The timing for the other on site restaurants didn’t match our needs. The staff is very polite and helpful. Everyone greats you as you explore the grounds. It was nice staying in the center of Williamsburg and having that open access. I would have enjoyed a pool with the hotel, though, instead of a shared property pool.

Wife and I Stayed over the Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our recent anniversary. We have stayed at most of the Historic Williamsburg hotels and this one several times in the past. We love the historic area and it is so nice to be close and be able to walk around the area and to Merchant square without having to search for parking on a busy weekend. The Lodge is very nice and the rooms well appointmented and decorated. This weekend we paid over $400 per night. The most consistent and disappointing problem we encounter every time we stay is the mattresses are terrible. This weekend was no different as it was a king bed which sagged deeply in both sleeping sides and gave little to no support. My wife and I both developed back pain after the first night and it only got worse the second. Again we have stayed at most of the properties in the historic area and even the colonial houses and this has more often than not been a problem. I think they just don't switch out the mattresses for new ones often enough and they get very worn and uncomfortable. We love the historic area very much and always enjoy our walks through the area, but this might be the last time we stay at a colonial property. You would think being a Marriott property it would be better now, but it is not.

I was totally disappointed with this stay and really surprised that Wyndham would carry such a property. It started that the door did not lock on the room, at which time of telling the front desk they just told me that I needed to slam it to get it to work. We finally had to have them repair it so we could lock it. The sheets were stained on the beds and there were no blankets at all. Towels were also stained. The sink was stained red along with the cabinet. The shower drain was so clogged that there was three inches of water in the tub before you could finish not to mention the black things that would rise from the drain. The chair in the room at the desk had a broken arm and was dangerous to sit in. Lounge chair was also appeared dirty and did not want to sit in it. This was a quick trip, but you at least expect the property to be clean. I will need to weigh my choices of hotels in the future. Breakfast was all but nonexistent
