This hotel is in Wattala which is only 7km from the Fort train station but feels ages away. Service - excellent. As in all areas of Sri Lanka the staff are very friendly and helpful. All say hello and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. There seems to be an army of cleaners and wait staff and again, all are friendly with very good English. The doorman was my favourite with a massive smile and great personality! There were some issues with the half-board deal I was on regarding when and where you can have the half board - which is only breakfast and dinner although on Trip it reads like you have a choice of when you can have your two meals a day. So just clarify when you arrive to be sure. Facilities - big open ground, big swimming pool which you could do laps in if you wanted but also with decent steps on the side so younger children can play. There is also a small children's pool too which is adjacent to the big pool and next to the sun bathing area which has around 10 sun chairs in pairs with an umbrella and small table around the grass area, with more chairs and beanbags set up on the higher area. I have seen big groups playing team games, cricket, football, some weird waterpolo/volleyball/handball game in the pool and even a few keen cricket players today. Restaurant - the floor level open air restaurant is well staffed, nicely proportioned and the buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner is extensive (if a little repetitive after three days). On some occasions there was live music which was nice and not overpowering, playing mainly English music. Bar - The Fishery is the outdoor restaurant for al e carte food service and some drinks. You can choose to sit under the roof bar area or under trees next to it, on big picnic style seating. Gym - this is located next to the pool/restaurant and although it is a bit tired, it has everything you need. The running machines are a bit clunky but at least they work, the weight machines are a little stiff to move but again they are functional. There are free weights and area to work out - even a small space for yoga or stretching if thats your thing. There is also air conditioning - and in 30+ heat, very much needed! Downside - its a bit hard to get to and you have to take a taxi or tuk tuk (don't pay anything over 5,000 for this!). The beach which you can see and hear, is very close but not suitable for swimming - especially for young children. Also the beach isn't particularly clean - outside the hotel the beach is raked for appearances, but walk 50m to your left or right, and its not too pretty! Not really a downside but be aware that if you are here in weekend, this place seems to host a lot of parties, weddings and events - which is great energy with lots of noise and atmosphere. It is a lot quieter in the week days. And the pool becomes full in the afternoons!!!

Great hotel for holiday

من أقذر الاوتيلات التي زرتها في حياتي من الرسيبشن والمقايله السيئه تصل لمرحله تخلف الي تناول الحقائب وتدميرها الي سوء موقع الاوتيل والرائحه القذره في كل مكان الي تجهيزات الغرفه السيئه والمصيبه وجود بق فراش في الفرش تم تصويره لم نستطيع النوم طوال الليل وعندما اتي الصباح خرجنا من الاوتيل مبكرا سوء البوفيه والشح الفظيع في الطعام الرجاء الحفاظ علي صحتكم وصحه أبنائكم من هذا المكان One of the dirtiest hotels I have ever visited in my life From the reception and the bad interview that reaches the stage of backwardness To the eating and destruction of bags To the bad location of the hotel and the dirty smell everywhere To the bad room equipment And the disaster is the presence of bed bugs in the mattresses that were photographed We couldn't sleep all night and when the morning came we left the hotel early The bad buffet and the terrible scarcity of food Please protect your health and the health of your children from this place

酒店到沙灘很近，可以看到科倫坡港口，服務員態度親和，房間空調足，有兩個游泳池。小孩可以玩！早餐選擇多樣，本土菜和麪包水果品種豐富！

タウルはけっこう古いものだったんです。歯磨き粉を置いてなかった。

設施老舊，床單不乾淨

촌구석이다 갈때 각오해라 들가면 못나온다 와이파이 복도에서 빵빵터진다 침대에 누음 죽는다

很舒服的環境

Albergo sulla spiaggia a Wattala con piscina, ubicato lontano da attrazioni turistiche (comodo per aeroporto). Spazioso ma decisamente da ristrutturare le zone comuni. Le camere sono parzialmente sistemate. I lettini (una parte da sostituire ) sono solo intorno alla piscina, andrebbe posizionati anche sotto le palme verso la spiaggia (da tenere pulita); il bagno in mare è possibile camminando sulla sinistra all'altezza di una barriera di rocce. Colazione e buffet vari di buona qualità

Vicino alla Città e all’aereoporto! Abbiamo optato per questo hotel che era a metà strada perchè arrivati tardissimo nella notte! Ed è stato una piacevole sorpresa. Personale gentile e disponibile, anche in piena notte. Siamo stati bene. Colazione molto buona e varia.

Wonderful but older beach resort near north of Colombo. Simple but clean rooms. Adequate buffet for breakfast & lunch. The Fishery is best restaurant. Lots of tour groups stay here. Very pleasant & helpful staff, especially Madhu @ reception area. This resort was first for Colombo built in 1970.

Spent two days at a training program and found it had maintained standards experienced more than 25 years ago. The conference facilities and accommodation is spacious but facilities in the public areas need to be updated as they feel aged. The staff were hospitable and competent, and there was a good selection of cuisine at mealtimes, with well prepared and tasty dishes, with attentive service. Sahani at the reception was excellent in making guests feel welcome and made it a memorable experience. Suggestions for improvement: Conference facilities need better illumination, with different options available for different users. Accommodation: the refillable shower and bath products are environmentally friendly, but from a personal point of view I had no guarantee that they were fit for use as the containers were not sealed. There was no assurance that these were not the same items used by a previous guests, just topped up. I used my own products. Providing smaller reusable containers that can be refilled and sealed for each guest would be a better option.

Good location staff was excellent rooms were good hotel was really peaceful and quiet . Service was excellent. Everything was perfect . Short stay but good . All the staff were really friendly and helpful . Front office staff were efficient. Special thanks to Milumi from reception for her help.
