What a wonderful hotel. Truly magic experience. And the staff are absolutely AWESOME - lovely, kind, understanding and helpful 24/7 A pleasure to meet them (especially given I have cancer and was having a pretty bad day one of the days, and they were still lovely). Even before we arrived a great guy (David ?) was checking in on us regularly to check we would have everything we needed Beds, really comfy too!! And rooms with everything you need! And the food is also really delicious - bonus for the chef please 😂 Great value, Vă mulțumesc pentru o experiență minunate Make sure you stay as you would be mad not to. In the UK this place would be many more dollars a night!

I letti erano cosi' comodi, e apprezzo l'attenzione alla pulizia. Il Wi-Fi era affidabile, essenziale per il lavoro. Il personale dell'hotel era amichevole e accogliente. We spent two nights at the Hotel Reghina Blue. We have some very positive comments about some features and enjoyed our stay, but it could easily have been made much better. The hotel is situated further than we anticipated from the city centre. It is a good half hour's walk to Victory Square. We discovered later that there is a useful tram line (no 6) but there was no information about this at the hotel. There is free parking in front of the hotel and in a car park at the side. The hotel is modern and is decorated with interesting old photos of Timisoara buildings of the past. Our room was large with plenty of space for our luggage. It was clean and stylish. The bed was a little firmer than I like. The bedside lamps did not direct light to the bed and so it was not possible to read in bed, and it was necessary to get out of bed to turn them on and off. Otherwise it was a pleasant and comfortable room. The bathroom was fine and the shower worked well. Wifi was free and the signal was strong. On our first night we dined in the hotel. We had only just arrived in Romania and did not have any local currency and so thought it would be easiest. We had a very decent meal. The atmosphere was somewhat lacking as we were almost the only people there, but the hotel could not do anything about that. Breakfast was included in the price and was a self-service buffet. Some of it was very good: cold meat and cheese, bread, cakes and fruit. The hot offering was less appealling. It looked as if the fried eggs had been on display since the restaurant opened at 7am and were still there an hour later. The sausages, too, were lukewarm. If these items had not been present I would have thought it an excellent breakfast. The staff could have been more helpful. Only the breakfast waiter made an effort to be welcoming to guests. We found on our first evening that the safe in our room was not working. Perhaps it needed new batteries. We told the receptionist who came to have a look. She was not able to solve the problem herself and said she would get someone to come and deal with it the next day, but this never happened. We were given a map of the city which was very useful but we were given incorrect information when we asked about changing money and buying a ”vignette” to allow us to drive in Romania. We were directed to a bank along the road but this was closed and looked as if it had closed down a long time previously. Fortunately a very helpful lady in the travel office next door helped us to buy a vignette online and directed us to a nearby exchange office. The staff in the hotel really should have done this. They could also have told us about the tram mentioned earlier in this review. We only found out about it when we went to the tourist information office in the centre of the city. There was a pleasant courtyard garden and an outdoor swimming pool which we would have enjoyed if we had visited in the summer.

First of all not to be confused this hotel is called Hotel Continental. I must agree with many travelers saying it is dated, but it was OK for us for a one night stay. Hotel location is excellent being in the very center with all attractions in a 10 min walking distance. In front is a big parking lot - payable on weekdays, free on weekends. Probably the ugliest thing is the exterior - a classic communist era concrete block edifice. Lobby is big, check in was fast with kind staff explaining all amenities. Room was OK, dated again - specially the bathroom. Satellite TV and small mini bar, average beds, AC set to max - couldn't turn it down, so it was hot like in sauna. Breakfast was good. Pool is fair in size, heated, but very overcrowded - seems that also non-guests can use it. Hot tubs looked dirty with stain water and jets didn't work so did not use it. Overall, considering the price, location and amenities it was good for a night stay.

We stayed at this hotel with a tour group and it was generally, quite satisfactory. It was situated about 1 km from the centre of the city and away from the crowds and thus, was conveniently located. The walk to the city centre was an easy and flat one. While the hotel did back onto a railway line and our room faced that direction, our sleep wasn't disturbed. Rooms were comfortable but not huge. The one glaring drawback was that the breakfast area really wasn't big enough to cope with the number of guests, with queues forming for everything. In fact, the area was like a pop up breakfast room, with things stored in cupboards around the room. Breakfast itself was average. There is plenty of parking for guests.

Abbiamo avuto un buon soggiorno in questo conveniente hotel. Mio marito ha partecipato a una conferenza internazionale e abbiamo soggiornato pochi giorni per vedere la città. L'hotel è situato nella città storico passeggiabile e è stato un luogo perfetto da cui vedere la città. La zona è piena di piazze, negozi e siti storici, la nostra stanza è confortevole e la ricezione ha risposto alle domande quando necessario.

Si tratta di un buon albergo vicinissimo al centro, con un ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Le camere sono ben attrezzate ed i servizi sono di buona qualità. La colazione è buona, ma non aspettatevi grandissima varietà. Se però volete allenarvi, lasciate perdere, la palestra consiste in una stanzetta dove sono ammucchiati tre attrezzi in croce per fare un po’ di cardio. Sauna non pervenuta, la porta era chiusa, quindi non so dirvi. Nota di merito per il ristorante, con ottima qualità del cibo e varietà di scelta. In più è aperto tutto il giorno con orario continuato fino alla sera. Personale cordiale. Ah la macchinetta da caffè del bar purtroppo non funzionava durante il mio soggiorno. Comunque come albergo mi sento di consigliarlo soprattutto se non avete eccessive pretese perché la posizione è davvero il top.
