Se vuoi un posto per ”abbassare la testa” la notte a sud-ovest di Sydney a un prezzo ragionevole, non è una scelta sbagliata. La stanza era ben attrezzata, ragionevole moderno, abbastanza grande e sorprendentemente tranquillo, (nota che è un motel pub e ci siamo trasferiti un sabato sera); la ricezione al mattino non esiste, (lasci la chiave nella stanza), la notte potresti dover trovare qualcuno nel pub. Non c'è molto da fare intorno, non è certamente una base per visitare Sydney, ma se si visita persone o si hanno affari nella zona e si ha solo bisogno di un posto economico per dormire e riposare, questa è una buona opzione. Io resterei qui di nuovo.

Devo stare lì per una partenza precoce dall'aeroporto di Bankstown. È VERamente vicino all'aeroporto che è fantastico. Le camere sono state ristrutturate, di base, ma pulite e confortevoli. Erano un migliore standard rispetto alla vostra camera media pub. La cosa più importante, erano tranquilli. Era una settimana, quindi non posso pagare per venerdì o sabato sera. Il pub stesso era buono, la birra era fredda e il pasto era grande. Ho avuto la ribeya, i chip e la salata. Mickey, il vice manager, era molto gentile, mi ha mostrato nella mia stanza, mi ha spiegato il colazione, eccetera, e ha organizzato la cena.

Sempre un grande posto per soggiornare. Le camere sono sempre molto pulite e tedesche. La posizione è grande per noi, perché di solito restiamo qui per affari. Questa è una buona proprietà, completa con ristorante per cena e colazione che ho trovato molto conveniente. Il personale era fantastico e molto accogliente, facile controllo di servizio al bar. Camere dove buono e pulito, ben adattato per una famiglia di 4 come noi. La nostra camera aveva due letti singoli e un letto matrimoniale. Abbondante parcheggio sul lato dell'hotel anche. Grande pub anche.

L'hotel stesso è molto buono. La zona della piscina è piccola ma è al 9° piano, quindi ha una buona vista. Gavin al bar della piscina è stato estremamente amichevole e utile. Sono necessari più posti/sole e più ombra. Se fossero state prese le 4 cabane ci sarebbe molto più spazio per sedersi e si potrebbe mettere un enorme ombra. Non riuscivo a trovare nulla sul menu che potevo mangiare, perché ho intolleranza alimentare. Ho dovuto cercare una cameriera e chiedere aiuto. Grazie a Dio Jenny ha parlato con il cuoco e ho avuto pesce e salate. (Ha costato ancora $42 che era il prezzo per il pasto di pesce sul menu). Abbiamo aspettato molto più di un signor per il nostro pasto e mio marito non era quello che ha ordinato. Per il fatto che avevamo aspettato così tanto tempo ha accettato di mangiarlo. Un po' di un'esperienza deludente. Non abbiamo avuto colazione al ristorante perché non potevamo usare la mia carta Accor in vacanza pubblica. Non posso giustificare spendere $70 per entrambi quando non ci sono molte opzioni alimentari per me. Abbiamo finito di condividere un pasto di servizio in camera che era buono.

UUtente ospiteI had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Although an argument can be made about eclecticism and the use of curating a collection of exceptional vintage and contemporary objects this was not the case here, it read as a mismatched bric-à-brac (to borrow a Victorian word from the building time period that's true meaning in French means ”any old way” or ”at random”). Rreturn visitorSoggiorno in questo hotel ogni volta che devo visitare Sydney. È vicino ai trasporti, un modo semplice ed economico per visitare il CBD. Avere una reception aperta 24 ore su 24 è utile poiché spesso arrivo dopo il lavoro e può essere molto tardi/presto. Anche la colazione è un vantaggio (una colazione calda completa) è migliorata di recente, si sono verificati problemi post COVID ma ora è tornato all'eccellente standard precedente. Le camere sono pulite e abbastanza grandi. L'unico inconveniente è il parcheggio a pagamento, ma di solito riusciamo a trovare parcheggio in strada non troppo lontano.

UUtente ospite4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I stayed for a total of 5 nights, Tue and check out on Sunday(7-12 Feb 2023) Plus point -Location is really good , plenty of thai/chinese restaurants and room is huge. -Bed is comfortable, -Yoshie is one that was one more friendly staff that I remembered her name , please give her a raise or wine on me.(she is a Japanese, in case i got her name wrong) Hotel staff, is a on and off experience. The night ones tend to be more ”cold” and the day ones are much better.( again, Yoshie was the ”better” ones, there are more, but I couldnt remember their name) Now on to the exciting part... Tuesday- Checkin day, A smooth day but without hand towels and when I asked for them before leaving the place for a concert. ( they claim they were in laundry or something and I find it hard to believe for a 5 star accommodation) We were without a frying pan as well( they send it up though when i called for it) Wed- Requested for toothbrush/Toiletries and had to request again after waiting for more than an hour, as it was forgotten ,I presumed Thu- Requested to change towel when we went out in morning, nothing was done when we were back in evening. I especially informed the morning reception guys to not forget it, but someone in the middle must have forgotten it. Evening time, The staff upon informing said they will have it there in 10 mins, which they did. By the way, the phone became faulty but I didn't bother to inform as I thought I wont have much trouble with it not in use. I was wrong. Friday- The express cleaning end-up with all the towels taken away and, thats it. We found out when we were back in evening. We were left with no towels and on top of that the phone was not working so I had to go downstairs to inform the reception/staff , on night shift i suppose. Again they said would be there in 10 mins, which more or less they did. Saturday- There was a huge cockroach and I had to kill it myself, informed the staff downstairs but honestly I dont expect change of room or anything, just to feedback. From the above, you can see there were full of dramas and I think these are basic expectations.(especially the towel part) Would I be back there if I ever go Sydney again? Unlikely.

UUtente ospiteA great place to stay near Light Rail, Chinatown, Central, and shopping. Our room was excellent, and we found the reception staff always welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent hotel for location, for guests who may have difficulty walking up and down sloping streets, as it is in a comparably level area.
