Novotel Sydney Olympic Park

We stayed for 3 nights at the Novotel Sydney Olympic Park as it was most conveniently located to the hospital that my son needed to attend at Strathfield. The check in process was quite smooth and whilst the parking was limited at times, it was adequate. We booked 2 rooms. The corner room was nice and large, and had a great outlook, however, when we arrived, there was a service person doing electrical testing in the kitchen. He had headphones on and was obviously listening to something that made him unable to hear that we had come in. After a minute or so, he finally realised that we were there. He left dust and residue on the kitchen bench so I had to clean up afterwards. The other room that we booked was a standard twin room and much smaller. Unfortunately there was used milk left in the fridge. The interior furnishings of the rooms are looking a little dated now and could do with some upgrading. We dined in the restaurant for one breakfast and one dinner. Unfortunately, the chef on breakfast obviously didn't understand what dairy and gluten free means as we ordered dairy free scrambled eggs with gluten free toast. A beautiful, large plate of toast, eggs and hash browns was brought out by the waitress. I questioned whether the hash browns were gluten free as they are not in the other Accor Hotels that we stay at regularly. Shortly after, then chef came out to collect the hash browns as she confirmed that they were not gluten free. I then had a feeling that something was not right with the eggs. Sure enough, when I questioned it again, she had put cream in the eggs! It could have completely ruined our trip and it left me very reluctant to dine there again. There was noise from night activities and events in the area but that all subsided at a reasonable hour so our sleep was not disturbed too much. Great location near Accor Stadium, Qudos Bank Arena, Monster Skate Park, Train station. I was a little disappointed with the lack of variety of restaurants in the area. The parking was $44 per 24 hour period for Accor Plus members and it was convenient to be able to come and go under the one fee. We would stay again if we needed to be in the area but I would be very cautious again about dining in the restaurant due to our allergies.

If you want a room small enough to swing a cat, this is the hotel for you. If you want a hotel where you just need a bed because you are seeing live sport or concerts, this hotel is also for you! More basic than basic but the bed is soft and the shower hot. What more do you need? The curtain to separate the bedroom from the ‘bathroom’ is an interesting touch. Additional pillow and towels wouldn’t go astray.

Siamo stati a Sydney per affari e abbiamo soggiornato una notte all'Ibis. Nonostante essere Accor Hotel membri, abbiamo ricevuto le più elementari camere. In generale le camere sono molto date in necessità di completa ristrutturazione. Il piano della stanza era incongruo con un enorme buco di cemento sotto il tappeto alla porta della stanza! E' un viaggio pericoloso e molto invisibile. La stanza era pulita e così era la stanza. La stanza era molto piccola, ma avremmo apprezzato un po’ di più, e le finestre aperte, che erano grandi per l’aria fresca, erano ma le ossa che bruciavano sulla strada sotto, durante la notte, ci costringevano a tenerle chiuse. Il letto era molto comodo. La Brasserie era bella con un menu limitato, ma il cameriere dimenticava di darci un piatto laterale per il nostro principale pasto. Il colazione era piuttosto costoso per il semplice continentale (non cibo caldo). Il cameriere era amichevole. La signora che ci ha controllati era molto gentile e felice di avere un chat.

We were there for a tennis tournament & stayed for 3 nights & the full kitchen was a life saver. We were close to the courts so we could come & go easily. The room was big & the bed was very comfortable & the view amazing! We have stayed there before & we will stay there again.

Siamo venuti qui per il concerto dei ragazzi di Backstreet, e è stato un fine settimana molto occupato con Harry Styles anche nell'altra arena. Il check-in era senza saldatura, avevamo pagato in anticipo con gli hotel Qantas e poi abbiamo appena pagato il parcheggio direttamente all'hotel, mentre noi stessi avevamo parcheggiato sotto l'hotel. L'ingresso di parcheggio è stato monitorato e controllato contro il nome di prenotazione a causa dei grandi eventi, così bene fatto negli hotel, poiché il parcheggio è condiviso con il Novotel lungo la strada anche con posti di parcheggio limitati disponibili. La stanza ha tutto quello che ti serve, era pulita e ben mantenuta, bagno immacolato. Calzetta e frigo con grande quantità di spazio per pavimenti. Non abbiamo avuto molto tempo in camera come ci siamo stati per un evento, ma il letto era fantastico. Il personale ha aiutato a fare tutte le domande, non c'è problema, così vicino ai locali di concerto, e abbiamo osato fare il bar di casa DFO per uccidere il tempo prima di entrare.

Siamo rimasti in una stanza di famiglia prima di un gioco al Stadio olimpico. Le strutture erano date ma pulite. Purtroppo, la nostra stanza ha profumato molto di fumo di sigarette. La nostra camera era di fronte alla strada Paramatta, così era rumore e luminosa, ma il blocco dei ciechi aiuta un po'. Le bagni condivise erano OK. Ci è una camera per le donne che hanno un bagno, doccia e immersione. L'altra opzione è una zona con 2 stalle da bagno e una doccia sul tubo senza pareti o cortina e una finestra che è permanentemente aperta, quindi immagino che sarebbe freddo in inverno.
