Hotel in zona Carradah Park, Sydney

La posizione è grande. Abbiamo una vista sul porto con una bella vista sul ponte del porto. Abbiamo anche avuto il piacere di ricevere il servizio all'ingresso e all'uscita. Sfortunatamente, siamo stati delusi di quanto la stanza fosse pulita. Il pulitore ovviamente dimenticava di pulire il bagno. Ha tinture sul sedile e nel bagno. Abbiamo trovato anche una bottiglia vuota di acqua di Mont Franklins che si trovava sotto il desk. Abbiamo soggiornato in hotel qualche volta prima, questa è la prima volta che siamo stati delusi dalla pulizia della stanza.

It was quite expensive for the service. The staff were not very welcoming but pleasant enough. The highlights are you are camping on the harbor and the view is very pretty. At sunset the very large bats come out which is quite cool to see but they are very loud with each other. Here is somethings you should know. Both eateries close at 430 pm so plan accordingly for dinner. If you get the package that includes electricity it’s only on from 6pm-6am. The waterway is very active until dark then the row teams start at 0500 it might have been earlier but their coaches are very loud and aggressive. What a way to wake up. It was nice just manage your expectations.

I had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Although an argument can be made about eclecticism and the use of curating a collection of exceptional vintage and contemporary objects this was not the case here, it read as a mismatched bric-à-brac (to borrow a Victorian word from the building time period that's true meaning in French means ”any old way” or ”at random”). Everything went well. We were provided with the twin bed room as specified in our booking, with no unexpected surprises like being given a king bed, which we did not want.. Stayed for 3 nights. Amenities were of good quality. Service was not bad, was attended to immediately at the entrance by the bell boy who handed our luggages with enthusiasm. Was also allowed early checked in as our room was ready when we arrived.

Il nostro soggiorno all'Hotel YEHS di York Street ha avuto sia positivi che negativi.La posizione è fantastica, molto centrale e vicino a tutto, rendendo conveniente per esplorare Sydney CBD. Il personale era amichevole e utile, e le strutture di base erano sufficienti. Tuttavia, la decorazione è obsoleta, la stanza era piccola e spazzata. La pulizia generale era anche un grande declino. Il bagno aveva un odore di scarico, la doccia non era pulita, ci erano poche matite rotte e la stanza stessa era sporca.

We recently stayed at a hotel that perfectly suited our family needs! Located right in the heart of the CBD, it was close to everywhere we needed to be. The nearby supermarket and restaurants made dining and shopping convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful especially Sir Jandro, the hotel manager and Ms Arglie, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with excellent service!!

We stayed for two nights at the end of May. Our room was quiet & clean even if in need of a refurbish, which presumably, going by the building works going on, is in progress. The building works didn't impinge on our stay at all. Our breakfast (which was included in our room rate), was surprisingly good. The area it was served in was very clean and bright. We found all the staff to be pleasant. Being able to checkin & checkout on line made things move quicker, especially the checkout. The cost of accommodation in the city is very high so we were pleased that Song Hotel was a bit more affordable to us.

The location is very convenient. One can walk to nearby attractions and the Museum station for transit to and from the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, and allowed me to check in early and check out one hour late. However, the WIFI is a bit slow and I didn’t get the connection for my computer unless I put it next to the microwave oven near the door, making it a bit inconvenient for me to do my work or conduct online meetings. The breakfast choices were the same during the whole time of my stay. I’m glad that I only stayed for 3 nights.

I stayed at the hotel for 2.5 weeks during one of the busiest times in Sydney. The rooms were cleaned daily. The staff exceptional. The manager on duty incredible. I had a few hiccups as any traveller would at any hotel but once mentioned by me to the staff they without hesitation went beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. It isn’t the most glamorous or biggest or even the most sophisticated place but it was perfect for a solo guy like me travelling in Australia for Mardi Gras and site seeing. Other friends of mine ran into numerous problems beyond my challenges at other big chain hotels but this little place kept me going and made me very happy. I’d return anytime. It’s location is perfect for site seeing and a overnight sleep or daytime nap. Thanks to all the staff there that were amazing. See ya again soon I hope!

Questo è il nostro secondo soggiorno nella baia di ricerca woolooware. L'hotel è nuovo, pulito, completamente attrezzato e non poteva essere più conveniente per una notte a piedi. Abbiamo soggiornato in 2 appartamenti di studio diversi, con vista e spaziose. Non si può fare nulla, tranne che il vento con/estrazione dell'aria che un po' sul lato rumoroso e navigare il parco di auto il giorno di gioco e alzare le rampe rigide richiede attenzione e concentrazione. Non è un interruttore di affari, tuttavia! Certamente rimarrà.
