My recent experience with Sopwell House was shockingly poor. Despite being a loyal, long-term customer, I was treated with zero empathy regarding a wedding gift voucher for a night’s stay, which included a meal, massages, and access to the spa—significant money was spent on this package. After being assured last year that we could extend the voucher due to personal circumstances, I was suddenly told it couldn’t be honored because it had expired by over a year. What makes it worse is that there was absolutely no offer of a compromise—no discount, no gesture of goodwill, nothing. This substantial package was dismissed without any care, and the response I received was not only rigid but borderline rude, as if customer loyalty meant nothing. Sopwell House clearly has no policies in place for genuine customer care, and their handling of the situation proves they prioritize rigid rules over treating people with respect. If you’re considering visiting, think twice. The way they treat long-standing customers is unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone waste their time or money here. There are far better places that actually value their guests.

Eccezionale

NN_ChI have been to this holiday inn few times its good and close to motorway and also have free parking. staff is very nice and helpful found cleaning of room needs slightly more attention especially bathroom however its all very good. Breakfast is simple n alright to make a good start to day. Juice is not good at all however the coffee is nice and also have good tea selection. Hotel is clean and not smell

Jjaypeecee61After initially having difficulty in finding the drop off car park (needs better signage) we checked into the hotel and were given a warm greeting by the reception staff. Our room was on the ground floor. It was spacious with two double beds which were amazingly comfortable. There was an alleyway outside which a lot of people were using so I am glad I was not a lone female staying in this room. There were two hanging spaces but more hangers are needed. 4 hangers in total are not enough for a few days stay. Also there was only 1 chair which meant that I had to sit on the bed at all times. We had a large bathroom with good quality toiletries and plenty of hot water. We were surprised that a 4 star hotel did not provide bottles of water. I did ask for ice each night so that I had cold water to drink and we were able to get a jug of fresh milk each day rather than have to use the milk jiggers provided. We only had breakfast one day as it was not included in the price. There was a very good choice and we were well looked after by Tom. This was an enjoyable stay. The hotel needs some minor tweaks which is why I have not given 5 stars.

Nicest people on reception. I have been to the restaurant a few times. But just recently my motorbike broke down near to the hotel and I couldn't believe how helpful the staff were. This might seem to be a strange review but sometimes you find out how good a service provider can be when you need them most.
