Hotel 2 stelle a Kashgar

Wow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever. -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

Hotel molto pulito con personale amichevole e utile. Mancata di servizi - nessuna tovagliola normale fornita, nessun divano o tavolo da usare per sedersi o mangiare. Solo il letto con una pigiama per ospite è stato fornito per tutte le vostre esigenze. Anche se non avevo alcun interesse per la TV cinese, non ne avevo uno.Anche se è un nuovo edificio, il grande spazio aveva piuttosto un'abominabile disposizione con mancanza di privacy e porta che colpì il commodity quando apriva più di mezzo percorso. Tuttavia, il personale grande, amichevole e entusiasta è più che sufficiente per compiere le carenze fisiche. Ci siamo divertiti. Situato in un vicolo abitato dalla maggior parte degli uiguri circostanti (sono tutti cinesi, quindi non preoccupatevi: è molto sicuro e armonioso). Si respira una forte atmosfera locale e l'architettura circostante è davvero unica. Si trova a 2 chilometri dai quartieri residenziali di Kashgar, caratterizzati da alti edifici. Il vicolo è raggiungibile in auto, quindi potete prendere un taxi fino all'ingresso dell'ostello. All'interno del vicolo e all'ingresso, la gente del posto prepara naan appena sfornati e panini al vapore. Dopo le 20:00 o le 21:00, c'è una bancarella di barbecue che serve i clienti. Piccoli supermercati e minimarket sono ovunque, rendendo facile reperire le provviste. È possibile acquistare bombole di ossigeno dal proprietario per 10 yuan ciascuna, cosa difficile da trovare nelle vicinanze. L'hotel è pulito, con acqua calda in abbondanza, aria condizionata e asciugacapelli. I bagni offrono fazzoletti gratuiti e nelle docce sono presenti borse impermeabili per i vestiti. Durante la mia visita a luglio, ho mangiato frutta (melone) quasi ogni giorno, perché gli ospiti la compravano sempre per condividerla.

Had a wonderful experience at this homestay. The owner is extremely helpful and hospitable. We checked in later in the evening, and he even offered us some tea while we chatted for a bit. There’s also a very cute and friendly dog named Xiaoguai. The room is cozy and well-equipped with all the necessities. It was a bit cold when we visited, but the heating made it very comfortable. In the morning, the owner prepared a lovely traditional breakfast. The neighborhood is quiet and well-located, with plenty of food stalls and restaurants nearby. It’s also easy to visit scenic spots like Kashgar Old Town, Gaotai Residential Area, or the Tomb of Yusuf Has Hajib with a short Didi ride. The owner was even kind enough to give us instruction on how to visit Baisha Lake, which we didn’t end up going to, but we really appreciated his guidance. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kashgar—you’ll feel right at home!

房間乾淨衞生，卧具床品整潔。一次性洗漱用品和拖鞋質量不錯，實用。酒店雖説是路邊，位置醒目，但前面距離馬路有較寬的停車場和綠化帶，不吵鬧。還有一大優點是距離火車站很近（酒店出門右邊可望見車站站房和喀什站名）,附近有幾家吃飯的地方，我在隔壁的杏子美食餐廳連吃了三頓拌麪烤肉，感覺衞生可感都不錯。

This is the most ”personally friendly” youth hostel I have ever stayed in. I met many friends who respected each other here. As someone who comes from a province (Yunnan) that combines both ”natural scenery” and ”human warmth”, I have traveled to 34 countries with a backpack. Previously, I tended to prefer choosing a cheap single room for myself. But excellent youth hostels attract excellent people to gather together. This environment really enables me to learn how to accept people from different cultures more easily. The owner of this youth hostel is very generous, providing free mineral water, snacks, fruits, etc. The air conditioning in the rooms works properly, and the partitions between beds and beds are very private. The large and small storage boxes have independent electronic locks and can be opened with the card provided by the owner, and can be used freely. The rooftop terrace can be used for gatherings, watching outdoor movies, or drying clothes. There are tea tables, washing machines, microwave ovens, etc. There are many bathrooms, and you can take a shower in the rain. The equipment is very new and there is sufficient hot water. The cost of the rooms is what I consider perfect.
